Oh weekend, why must you move so quickly?! Heather and I went to the walk yesterday morning but we had to leave early, it was freezing and Heather didn’t feel well. I came home and got some things done around the house and then my friend Lisa text me to see if I wanted to go to the movies. We had some dinner and then went to see Enders Game. It was a really good movie! I love science fiction and I really like it when there is a lesson hidden in there. If you enjoyed Avatar and District 9 I think you like Enders Game!
If it’s Monday then it’s time for this week’s Paper Players challenge. This week Sandy has chosen a wildlife theme…
I wanted something simple and I knew which stamp I wanted to use so this is what I came up with. The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. All of my stamping is done on a piece of Very Vanilla. I stamped the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Sahara Sand. The deer is from the Remembering Christmas Stamp Set and is stamped in Midnight Muse. I used the Endless Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set for the greeting and the snowflakes, stamped in Midnight Muse too. Like I said, a very simple card. I love the images together with the Woodgrain Stamp and I have already expressed my love for the Endless Wishes Set! Thanks for stopping by to see my card for this week’s Paper Players woodland theme challenge from Sandy. Have a great Monday! 🙂

Justin – the term “stunning” gets overused in card critiques, but THIS is stunning. The combination of colors is beautiful, and the snowflakes give the deer a gorgeous appeal. The ink coverage you got on that deer – it’s flawless. Nice card!
Thank you very much Brian! 🙂
I agree with Brian.. Wow JUST WOW WOW WOW!!
(PS now I REALLY do feel like a stalker gawd I commented on Brians right after you and now right after Brians on yours… STOP THE MADNESS)
LOL! I’m happy to have you stalking Fran! 🙂
Thank you Fran! 🙂
Justin – I just love CAS cards and at Christmas time always looking at cards that I can make 10 or 20 of without spending a full night on each one. This card fits the bill. Although I don’t have this particular deer stamp you’ve shown me that simplicity can mean beauty in a Christmas card. Thanks.
Thanks Grace! I’m happy that you enjoyed the card! 🙂
Very beautiful card. Very CAS , especially for sending to a man. Yes do share you tip on how to make a solid image so “covered” – I have read the tips on Brian’s blog, and tried it but I am not 100% happy with my results. Maybe you have an extra tip? Have a great week.
Thank Louise! I just always make sure and look at the stamp to check the ink and then give a good amount of pressure and leave it there for a second or two. Enjoy your week! 🙂
LOVE THIS!!! I know what this year’s christmas cards to the hunters in my family will look like now! Thanks for your continued inspiration!!
Thank you April! It’s definitely a good man card! 🙂
I admit it I read other people`s comments …and I have really had a good laugh over Fran`s P.S. comment ..too funny ! That aside ..glad you liked that movie …I have been tempted ..so now I will go . Last I must say I really like your card . Also glad to see those snow flakes from the Endless Wishes set . I just got my set (lucky me) and I was curious about those …they aren`t too froo froo and just right with this deer. A real masterpiece !!
