I had a very relaxing Easter and hope that you had a nice one too! I spent the morning making some cards, did laundry and watched some movies. I got to FaceTime with my cousin Tracey in England and then spoke to my parents who are over there too. Boy do I wish I was over there! The last time I went was 2007, it has been far too long. I had a bad dinner last night, popcorn and jellybeans, it went with the movie! LOL! Saturday night I went to dinner with a group of friends and we had a great time. We haven’t all gotten together in a while so we had a lot to catch up on. All in all a very good weekend!

Today is Monday, back to work, but it’s also time for this week’s Paper Players challenge. This week we have a CAS Washi themed challenge for the lovely Nance…
I love the Washi tape that we have but I definitely don’t use it enough so I was happy to see this challenge. My card base is a simple piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock and I stamped the greeting from the A Dozen Thoughts right on the base in Baked Brown Sugar. The three pieces of Washi tape are from the Retro Fresh This & That Designer Washi Tape Collection. I used the Little Leaves Sizzlit to cut out some Coastal Cabana for my leaves and the flowers are form the Petite Petals Stamp Set. They are stamped in So Saffron and Tangerine Tango and punched out with the Petite Petals Punch. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them to the card and some Subtles and Brights Collection Candy Dots are in the middles. I love the colors in the Retro Fresh Collection and the Washi tape really does help to make a nice CAS card. Thank you for coming by to see my Paper Players CAS Washi challenge card for this week. Don’t forget about the Retired List and FREE Shipping Promotions! Have a great Monday! 🙂

LOOOOOOOVE this card. A perfect CAS beauty…great use of the tape and the matching flowers! Those CC leaves are the bomb…so sad they won’t be in the catty next year! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Paper Players this week!
Woo hoo! Thank you LeAnne! What are we going to use for leaves now?!?! I hope you have a great week! 🙂
Hi Justin:
Glad you had a nice Easter. I am back on line until the 4th of May when I will be leaving again, this time to visit my children in CT. Unfortunately there won’t be time for a quick trip into Manhattan which kind of makes me angry. Oh well, maybe when I go in Sept or Oct.
Love this card. Sometimes I get caught without a back up supply of cards ready and boy,, this would be a quick one to whip up since I keep a ton of flowers I’ve made ready to go. I kind of forget about my Washi tapes so I need to put them where I can see them. You did a fab job on this one with the color combo and design, I really love it.
Now to catch up on all the missed posts……………………..LOL
Hello Grace!
Yes, my Easter was quiet but nice. Bummer, I really hope we do get to meet up in the city one day!
I always forget about my Washi Tape even though it is sitting on my desk! It was pretty quick and fun to make. Thanks! I’m happy you enjoyed it!
LOL! I have to do that too! Have a great evening! 🙂
Oooh I like this a lot, Justin! Love the cluster of flowers spilling over the edge. A real clean and simple beauty!
Thank you very much Sandy!! 🙂
Hi Justin! Such a pretty card! Love the flowers off the edge of the card! I need to use my washi tape more often…maybe there will be some new choices in the upcoming catalog? Sounds like you had a nice, relaxing Easter. Oh my—quite the dinner you had! 😉 We had about 9 people over for brunch yesterday. It was a beautiful day here as well. Again, a great card and thanks for sharing with us! Have a wonderful day!
Hello Karen!
Thank you! I’m sure there will be some new Washi in the new catty! I find out next Monday night! Yes, that was a bad dinner! I like Easter Brunch better than Easter dinner. It was a pretty nice day here, so I did get out for a bit. I hope you are having a great day! 🙂
Love this card, very pretty, but simple. I am really surprised at some of the items on the retired list, must get shopping…
Thanks Lynne! I’m very upset that my feathers are going “Vintage”. They better have some new ones with some matching Framelits! LOL! 🙂
Justin, such an eye-catching card! Love the simplicity!
Thank you so very much Gerri! 🙂
Really cute card, Justin! I was so happy to see the candy dots did not make the retiring products list!
Thanks Melanie! I wish they would have replaced the candy dots with enamel dots! 🙂
Getting here a bit late. I had to remark on how cute this card is. I’m into the quick and easy phase of cardmaking lately. This fits the bill perfectly. My washi tape isn’t being used like it should be. I have accumulated quite the stash from all over. Just love all the designs and colors. Need to get my SU order in, don’t want to miss the boat and my items end up being gone, gone, gone forever.
Better late than never, Lisa! Thanks so much! You definitely need a quick and easy card every once in a while. Yes, this is the first year that the Retired list is “while supplies last”. I put my order in this morning! Enjoy the rest of your evening! 🙂
So fresh and fun, I just love this Justin! My favorite part is how the flowers trail off the side and I ADORE your coastal cabana leaves! Thanks for joining in the washi fun at The Paper Players!
Thank you very much Nance! Love the challenge, made me use my large stash of Washi Tape! I’ll miss the Little Leaves Sizzlit! I hope you enjoy the rest of you week and have a great weekend! 🙂
