They said that we would have some rain last night and boy did it come down for a little while. I got to run another errand for work yesterday, that makes three days in a row! Let’s see if we can make it four! LOL! I had a fun evening last night. I met my friend Michael for dinner at the Chow Down Diner. We had a very nice conversations that carried over to Starbucks for some coffee and ended hours later in the parking lot. I love when you just connect with people, like you have known them for a long time. Michael is a paper crafter too and you can take a look at his blog HERE. He is the creator of StenDoodle. It sort of like Zentangle with stencils and it’s pretty cool so be sure and take a look!
My late night card for today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge from the lovely Jen T….
Thankfully the idea for the card formulated in my little brain when I peeked at the sketch yesterday morning. My card base is Whisper White Card Stock and I covered the entire front in a piece of Kraft Card Stock. The panel is Basic Black, I embossed a piece with the “Vintage” Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered some Gold Sequin Trim around the back with Sticky Strip before adhering the panel to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My four feathers are from the Four Feathers Stamp Set and are Soft Sky, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay all heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I used the Feathers Framelits to cut them out and some more Stampin’ Dimensionals hold them to the black panel. My greeting is from the Good Greetings Host Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder in the lower right corner. There is still a little over a week left to get the Good Greetings Set by placing a $300 order. If you have a bunch of friends that would like to place orders contact me and I’ll give you a Host Code so you can get your set! And there is my late night card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I hope that you enjoyed it and I thank you for stopping by and spending a little time with me today! Have an amazing Thursday my friends! 🙂

Hi Justin, I really like this card. I like the off-set placement of the black; very different. The half embossed part is great and I love the graduated colored feathers too.
🙂
Hi Nancy! Thank you! The sketch was great! And I did miss my feathers! Hope you had a great day! 🙂
Love it!! So elegant!
Thanks so much Gina! 🙂
Hi Justin. Was great to hang last night and yes, it does feel like we have known each other for years. The perfect way to start a new friendship. I also loveeeee the card!! LOL
Hello Michael! Yes! I had a great time! It’s the best when you are lucky enough to connect with someone! Glad that you like the card! 🙂
Hi! I visited Michael Trent’s blog. His use of colors is so much fun. I especially like his card with the trees and deer, very doable with SU products. I made some Halloween cards with your same idea of layering off to the corner. I was quite pleased with it even though I am such a symmetrical person. Everyone should try it as it is out of the box for OC people like me. I really like your card today. So many great ideas in it! Have a sun shiny day in spite of the weather! Michael’s singing in the rain card is perfect for today. Go forth and have an outside the office day! You know what tomorrow is…Love you, Nancy B still organizing!
Hello Nancy! Thanks for going over and taking a look at Michael’s blog! He really does have a very interesting way of using colors! Love that his stuff is so different! I think we need to be a little off center sometimes in everything! Glad that you enjoyed today’s card too! The rain did finally end around 2:00 and the sun came out! We are almost there!! Just a few more hours! Love you too!! XOXOXO 🙂
Late night beauty, this is gorgeous. Sorry you got our weather, but after 4 days of rain and gloom I’m glad it moved East. Michaels blog is awesome thanks for sharing
