I had a semi-productive Saturday. I began organizing some of the stuff in the Stampin’ Galley and then went out and ran some errands with Heather. I realized around 4:30 that I hadn’t eaten when Andrew texted me to see if we were having dinner. He came over around 7 and we went to Five Guys for some burgers. After, we went to let his friend’s dog out and came back to the house and watched The Da Vinci Code. I am trying to expand Andrew’s horizons as far as movies go. LOL! Thankfully, he said he enjoyed it. I’m off to Manhattan now for a little while to see my friend Kim. What are you up to today?
The card I have for you today is for this weeks Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…
I started today’s card off with a base of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. The background is a piece of Smoky Slate embossed with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. For the panel, I used the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Soft Sky. I stamped the tree in Garden Green and heat embossed the snowflakes with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The house is from the Holiday Home Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used Smoky Slate and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers to color in the door and roof. The lights are stamped in Garden Green and the house is cut out with the Homemade Holiday Framelits and adhered to the panel with SNAIL. The greeting is from the Project Life December Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set, is stamped in Garden Green and cut out with the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlits. A few Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the panel and that finishes the card. Another simple holiday card, but again, I really love the stitching detail on those stitched rectangles. I hope you enjoyed my card for this weeks Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge. I thank you very much for coming by to visit with me today and I hope you all have a good Sunday! 🙂

Enjoy your Sunday!
Hello Marty,
Thank you! Love the houses! Remodeling anything is always a major chore but you are at the fun part now! It will be done before you know it! I had a nice Sunday and hope that you did too! 🙂
I think that Holiday Home stamp set is one of the most versatile that I own. All of the little coordinating stamps in the set make it possible to use all year long for absolutely any occasion. Your card is uber super and I think the banner is the perfect touch.
Have fun in the City. Hopefully you won’t be freezing your buns off. Lots to do today since we were gone all day yesterday. Catch up is NOT fun. LOL
I agree Grace! There are so many neat little elements in the set! It really is an all occasion set! Thank you!!
The city was lovely, perfect temps and plenty of sun! I hear you about catch up! Hope you had a good day! 🙂
Love this card Justin! You and Amy K.are making my list so, so much longer now!! 🙂 I have just spent W..A..Y to long catching up on laundry, lol, must have been almost all our clothes! Still have a little more to wash, then off to putting it all away. Be so happy when it’s done 🙂 Good luck finishing up your stuff too!
Ahh, Jill! I’ll respond to your second comment! 🙂
LOL…. working on that very same challenge! Just have to stop analyzing it and put glue to the paper!! Yours is beautiful Justin. Love that non-SU die you have in there too. When I bought that stamp sets, I decided to get it in French since I needed a few French sentiments every now and the. Love it.
Don’t you hate when that happens Louise! Yes, just glue it all down!! LOL! Thank you! Those stitched rectangle dies are so neat! I have one or two sets in French, I have a few french friends! 🙂
LOL finally finished it and posted it too. Hope you won’t mind but I CASEd your idea, a little, and attempted a little staging of my own… Nothing spectacular but just to add a little interest. Have a good Monday.
Well, I will have to go and have a look! I love it!! Your little staging looks great! Enjoy your Monday! 🙂
Awesome card, Justin. From the embossing, to colored door, to the great sentiment it’s so fun! Thanks for joining us at the Pals Paper Arts this week.
Thank you very much Dawn! Have a great week! 🙂
ooooh, love this card. The Holiday Home bundle is my latest purchase. I love it, but when I tried using the die over my stamped and coloured houses, part of the house was cut off. I thought they were placed properly and I used the magnetic platform. Yours is perfect, is there a secret? Also, love those stitched rectangles, must get some.
Thanks so much Lynne! The stamp and Framelits are really closely matched, there is almost no white border. If you line up the very edge of the image you should be good! The stitched rectangles are great! 🙂
Hi Justin—Love your card today! I kind of forget about the snowflake embossing folder but it really adds so much, doesn’t it? And the holiday home set is one of my favorites also. I have got to get me that Lawn Fawn embossing folder…love that. Great color combo too! Didn’t get a chance to post a comment on yesterday’s post and as usual…great card. Poor little Daniel! I hope he’s feeling better. Hope you’re having a blast in the city!
Hello Karen!
Thank you! I forgot about the Northern Flurry EF too! Holiday Home is one of my favorite sets, so versatile and yes the Stitched Rectangles are a must have! Daniel is feeling better, thank you! I had a nice day in the city and hope that you enjoyed your Sunday too! 🙂
Justin, you know how much I love those little houses. And the string of lights and tree totally set it off.. Too sweet. Oh, me? We celebrated an anniversary in the double digits with a steak dinner and a bottle of merlot. Hope Baby Daniel is feeling himself today.
Yes Georgie, I do! I love them too! So happy you like the card! Happy Anniversary!! Sounds like a nice way to celebrate! Daniel is feeling better, thanks! 🙂
Love The Da Vinci Code, AWESOME book and movie!
Well mojo has not left me but I am having a hrad time getting motivated. I did get Christmas cards almost made, but now that I have the samples made the rest should go fast. I did not do SU this year, thats pretty rare for me, I went with Angles from Raisin Boat and I’m pretty please.
Today I did lunch with two BFF from hgh school, awesome time. Now I’m just wasting time on the Intranet, sad I know.
Anyway off of work for a week and I’m thrilled. Although we are expecting 3-4 inches of snow, DEPRESSING! Luckily my shopping for Thursday is done. Now tp star cleaning and cooking.
Love this creation, I especially like this embossing folder on the Smokey Slate. Great effect. Take care
Yes Linda! One of my favorite movies and books. Love that you can go and see all of the places in the story too!
I’ll have to check out the stamps that you used. I have to get started on my Christmas cards, wonder when I’ll have time for that?!? LOL!
It’s good to while away for a little bit, I don’t do it often enough!
I hope the snow misses you! enjoy your week off!
Glad you like the card! Have a great week! 🙂
Had one of those days, posted here earlier and forgot to add the name and email part, so it wiped out my comment 🙁 Anyway, this is a fab card! Love the way you have the house scene framed and offset from the northern snowflake embossing folder. I wouldn’t have thought to do that. You’ve sparked some ideas…..thanks for sharing your creativity 😉
Spent my weekend doing laundry, LOTS of laundry. Seemed like every single piece of clothing we owned! Good grief! Still have a little more to do, then we get to put it all away yay 🙂
LOL! I did see it Jill! Thank you! Happy to have given you a few ideas!
I am good about my laundry and do it every Sunday morning. If I go into the city my mum finishes it for me! I’m a little spoiled! Good luck finishing yours! 🙂
Give your mom and extra hug for that!! Good for you that you both have such an awesome relationship 🙂
Will do Jill! She’s great and I’m lucky to have her! 🙂
Beautiful card! I love the scene you’ve created with this awesome set.
Thank you Michelle! Have a great day! 🙂
