What better way to start a Monday that with some snow?!?! Really?! It was just a dusting but enough already! I was speaking to my friend Andrea in Colorado and it was 80 degrees there! Not fair! LOL! I got my Girl Scout cookie Delivery at work and I had to immediately have some Samoas, they are my favorite! The rest of the day at work was quite, had dinner with the ‘rents and then came home and made my card for today. Taylor came over and we ran to Michaels so she could get some pastels, watercolor pencils and markers. I think that she covered most of the coloring mediums in one go! We came back to the house and got lost in YouTube videos for a while, a nice way to end the night!
My card that I have for you today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…
Hmm… a Tall & Skinny! I went all out Spring! The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Strawberry Slush. Two pieces of paper from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack make up the panel across the middle and the two panels on the sides. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Vellum and a piece of Daffodil Delight. The greeting is from the A Happy Hooray Stamp Set and is stamped in Strawberry Slush and punched out with the Hexagon Punch. All of the pieces are mounted to a piece of Blushing Bride and a piece of Whisper White 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. I found two containers of the “Vintage” 2013-2015 In-Color Boutique Details and adhered one with a Glue Dot. Like I said very springy colors and I managed to stay away from the sequins too! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by and have an excellent Tuesday! 🙂

So pretty Justin – all out spring indeed. If that doesn’t banish the snow, I don’t know what will lol!
Thank you Joanne! We need some spring in the cards because Mother Nature is not cooperating! 🙂
Love the colors and textures. Great card.
Thanks so much Germaine! 🙂
Great use of the sketch! I love that little botique detail, too.
Thank you Sandy! I had tow packs of the buttons, had to use one! 🙂
Good Morning Justin:
Nice to be reconnected to the blog. Computers do such weird things. I think they have a mind of their own!
Absolutely love the way today’s card screams spring. You found yet another way to use vellum! I think the vellum square turned on point with the hexagon stamped with a saying in the center is just fabulous! It just pulls your eye right to the message. All the flowers in such an array of pinks and yellow make the card seem so light and so centered on Spring. I just think it’s a fantastic card.
Well Justin, I know that Spring has actually arrived despite the snow on the ground. The male yellow finches have turned bright yellow vs. the dull color they become in winter. That means it’s mating season which means Mother Nature has brought in the Spring season! I swear it happened almost overnight. Yesterday they were very dull birds and today their canary yellow bodies are screaming color. Yeah!
I hope you have a Terrific Tuesday and that you have some fun tonight. Turkey with mashed potato, sweet potato and corn for supper if you want to join us! LOL Hugs to you my friend 🙂
Hello Grace!
I was wondering what happened to you! I did see your email and I apologize for not getting back to you! I’m happy that you are back!
Thank you!! Yes, we need Spring! I woke up to snow! Enough already! LOL! I thought that sketch was a little busy so the vellum helps take it down a bit! I wanted Spring and that what I got!
Oh! I will have to look and see if I can see any Yellow Finches by me! They sound beautiful!
My Tuesday started off not that great but finished wonderfully! Hope you had a nice day and enjoyed your yummy dinner! Wish I could have come! Hug to you!! XOXOXO 🙂
Spot on Spring, love it.
Thanks Janell! 🙂
Hi there Justin! Such a pretty card today! Love the spring colors! And you know, that’s my favorite stamp set! 😉 I just made a card using these exact same colors and dsp! Great minds think alike. LOL! Can’t believe you had that dusting of snow yesterday. Hopefully that’s the last of it. We are headed for a couple of nice days here, in the 60’s. Yay! Have a great Tuesday!
Hello Karen!
Thank you! We need Spring, it’s not happening outside so I have to make it happen on a card! Yes, I forgot about that set! WOW! Yes, great minds do think alike! I am so over the snow, even just a little is too much at this point! Glad that the weather by you is better! 🙂
Beautiful job Justin. Love how you used Vellum!
Thanks so much Lynn! 🙂
Love it! Now I will have to work on some spring cards! It is in the 70’s again here in Colorado today, however, we are expecting snow tomorrow night, cold for two days, then back up into the 70’s-very typical for spring here!
Thank you Jeffie! Yes, let’s all make Spring cards and get it here faster! Colorado sounds nice for spring! 🙂
Wow! Such a great card for what I thought was a very busy sketch. Love your spring colors. I’m in NC and it’s beginning to look like spring here too.
Thank you Sheila! I found it a little busy too! I’m glad that someone is getting Spring! 🙂
So beautiful and bright! That should definitely tell Mother Nature bring on Spring!! Except I heard on the news that y’all are supposed to get some snow today. Yuck! It’s kinda funny that CO is so warm, lol 🙂 well I guess not to you! Ok, just sent you some warm breezes again, maybe we’ll get them to stick this time 😀
Thank you Jill! I hope that she hears me! LOL! I think it’s crazy that Colorado is so warm! Thanks for the warm breezes, we need them! 🙂
Hi Justin, what a pretty card for today! So many different colours and pieces, but perfectly deigned and placed, looks soooo good! I love Michaels, we don’t have it here. We went to a store just outside Atlanta and I bought a picture that is in my kitchen. They have so much variety of anything you could ever need – much like your Stampin Galley, Lol! Have a great day Justin! 😀 xoxo
Hello Kelly!
Thank you! I like that DSP and love the stamp set! Michaels does have a lot of good stuff and Taylor’s discount makes it a great place to shop! I do have a lot of stuff but always seem to find more! LOL! Hope that your day was a good one! XOXO 🙂
Love this card!
Thanks Sue! 🙂
Beautiful! Just beautiful. Great take on a busy sketch. I especially like how you used the vellum, highlights the card beautifully. Almost 60 today, in the 60’s tomorrow then back to 40, I’m hoping Spring is trying to break thru. Take care….
Thank you very much Linda! I think that vellum takes a little of the busy away! I hope that Spring is trying to get here too! Have a great night! 🙂
Justin,
Such a pretty card. I’ve been avoiding the ‘All Abloom’ dsp but it looks so pretty here. I’m ready for spring and spring cards! Still cold in Jersey.
Gerri,
Thank you! I am so ready for Spring! It wasn’t too bad today! Let’s hope that the warming trend continues! 🙂
This is such a nice card! Love the colors. Stampin’ Up’s color names always make me want to give them a try but I already have everything CTMH…
Thank you Pamela! I have to say that I have other ink pads but I still like Stampin’ Up! the best! 🙂
