Happy Sunday peeps! I had a busy but nice day yesterday. I made some cards in the morning and then ran over to Scrap-A-Latte to drop off my cards for the class on Friday! The best part was the ride, I had the top down in the car! Oh how I have missed the convertible! When I got home my friend Sue stopped by and we played with Etsy for a little while setting up my store. People have been asking me if I sell my cards so I thought that it was about time to see what I can do about that! I will begin adding things to it and hopefully in a few weeks it will be filled and ready to go!
Today I’m announcing part of my Design Team over on the Can You Case It blog! My friend Eva asked me a while ago if I would like to co-manage a the Can You Case It blog with her and choose a team. We will alternate teams every other week. I think that it will be lots of fun! So it is with great pleasure today that I announce the first two new Design Team members…
First up we have the very talented and versatile Michael Trent!
Michael is originally from Hicksville, NY (not too far from me!) and currently live in Cosmopolis, Brasil (pretty far from me!). You can visit Michael’s blog, World of Michael Trent, HERE.
Next up is the cleverly crafty Andrea Tracy-Tucker!
Andrea currently lives in Wray, Colorado with her family and horses! I’m very happy to call her my friend! You can visit Andrea’s blog, One Stampin’ Mother Tucker, HERE.
So there are the first two new Design Team members for my team over on Can You Case It! Show them some love by leaving them a comment on their blog posts for today’s challenge!
Speaking of today’s challenge it’s a Clean & Quick one…
I was a little worried when I saw this, I don’t think that I have ever made a card in 10 minutes! I definitely planned out what I was going to do before I got started! My card base is a piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and adhered it to the base with SNAIL. The main panel is a piece of Smoky Slate and is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles, I also cut out a piece of Whisper White. Using my MISTI Tool (loving it by the way!) I stamped the image with the greeting from the Adventure Awaits Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black on both the Smoky Slate and Whisper White. The Simon Says Stamp Jumbo Jets Craft Die is used to cut out the sentiment from the Whisper White panel and is then adhered over the Smoky Slate panel with Foam Tape. I then adhered a piece of Fun Foam between the panel and the card to give it a little more dimension. I love the look of the spotlight die cut plane over the greeting. I think this would be a perfect card for someone going off to college, changing careers or facing a big decision! I hope that you enjoy my Clean and Quick card for this week’s Can You Case It challenge! Don’t forget to visit the blog to see what our newest Design Team members have done and of course the rest of the Design Team too! Feeling inspired? Super, duper card today Justin. The Smokey Slate actually looks like grey leather. I think it looks that way because of the die you used with the stitched look. I also really love that plane! I have classmates and friends that are pilots that would really appreciate that die cut and certainly the card you made today. I’ll have to look into it.
Congratulations to Michael and Andrea for becoming members of your new team. I’m sure they will be fantastic and I look forward to seeing what they design. I can’t believe you have taken on yet another task – that of co-managing the the Can You Case It blog. My goodness Justin, we are going to have to find a way to increase the number of hours in a day so you can get everything done because I’m sure there isn’t much sleep time left that you can give up. LOL Good luck with the blog and be sure to let us know when you get your Etsy page set up.
Have a Super Sunday – so glad you can finally put the top down and ride around without freezing to death! My hubby is itching to get out the Model A and head for some car shows. Luv ya! 🙂
Thank you Grace! You are right, it does look like leather! The plane die is so cool! I have been obsessed with planes since I was a child!
I’m so happy to have them both on the team with me! I know, one more thing, hmmm, I like the sound of a few more hours in the day! I will let you know when the shop is up and running, when I’m going to have time for that I don’t know! LOL!
I did have a super Sunday and yes the top down definitely help with that! The model A sounds so cool! Pictures please! Love you too! 🙂

Hey Justin, LOVE today’s card!! It’s perfect for a guy, very stylish! It’s nice to put a face to the name (Michael I mean), sounds like a great new adventure with the design team – it’s a good thing you don’t watch tv, Lol! I’m glad the weather is finally warm enough for you to drive your convertible, it has definitely been a long winter for you! Well, apparently our whole city has lost gas, so no hot shower for us this morning 🙁 I’m off to boil the kettle…. Happy Monday to you Justin 🙂 XOXO
