What a nice day we had here today! Work was actually a little on the busy side but I kept sneaking outside! LOL! When the wind died down it was actually warm! My parents took Winston to get groomed today and he all sexy again! He’s also extra lovey because he really wants the bandana off, but it’s too cut to take off just yet! Oh, thank you so much for all of your blog name suggestions!! Unfortunately Taylor Made is taken, but I’ll let you know what she decides! I had a nice evening with Taylor, we ran to Target and I found some sweaters on clearance for $3.98! I had to get three of them! LOL! I also spent a little time organizing my non-Stampin’ Up! stamps and dies, I have quite a few, more than I thought! I saw something the other day that said it all started with one stamp… isn’t that the truth! Here is Winnie, it’s very hard to get him to sit still for a picture!
It’s Wednesday! That means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…
The sketch has a little bit of a collage feel to it! My card, as always, starts with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Daffodil Delight. My background is a piece of Smoky Slate, I remembered that I had some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in White so I took the cap off and flicked it on the Smoky Slate. Up in the right corner is a piece of “Vintage” Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape, again something that I clearly forgot that I had! My greeting is from the Starburst Sayings Stamp Set and is stamped in Pear Pizzaz and cut out with the Starburst Framelits. Some Fun Foam is adhered to the back and then it’s adhered to the card. A strip of Basic Gray goes across the top and I slipped one of the Hung Up Cute Clips over it. Down in the lower left is one of the Essentials Wooden Elements. Across that is a piece of Basic Gray and some stars from the Hooray it’s Your Day Card Kit. To finish of the card I scattered some sequins from Ellen Hutson, Hazel & Ruby and Pretty Pink Posh. I love the colors, I have been quite the Pear Pizzaz fan lately! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog to see some inspiration from the rest of our Design Team and enter your project in the gallery! Thanks for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Winston is so stinkin’ cute!!! I dog-sit for a friend’s schnauzer. They are the sweetest dogs!
Cool card! I love the way you make your collage cards. I am no good at putting a bunch of elements together and having them look like they were meant to be.
Thanks for sharing!
Winston is a great dog Gerri! Yes, Schnauzers are the sweetest dogs!
Thank you! I love to make a collage card, they are my favorite kind! 🙂
nice card. Your pup is soooo cute! When we go on vacation we take our beagle, Penelope to the doggie bed & breakfast in town. They are so good to her and when we pick her up they always have a bandana around her neck. She looks sweet and hates it!!
Thank you MaryJo! I do love Winston, he is a cute dog! I see that your dog has the same affinity for the bandana too! 🙂
Hi Justin- your doggie is so adorable! I too love schnauzers.
Your collage card is awesome- thanks for some inspiration.
Your blog looks really cool today with the background pictures!
Hello Marty!
Thanks, I do love Mr. Winston!
Glad that you enjoyed the card too! I’m so glad that you see the background picture!! 🙂
Hi Justin! It’s hump day already. Where the heck does the time go? Winston is just way too cute. I love dogs but have never owned one myself. They are a lot of work so I have always had cats which I just love to have around. They aren’t all “grateful” like dogs are but instead are very independent and less expensive to own.
You managed to make a very busy card today and yet it is quite appealing. I’m like Gerri K. If I tried to put that many different collage items on a card it certainly wouldn’t come out anywhere near as appealing as your card for today is! It would probably look like I dropped a bunch of stuff on a base of glue and hoped for the best! LOL
Have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday. The sun is actually shining here today so I am going to take advantage of it and get some windows cleaned. Winter made a mess out of them and I am OCD when it comes to clean windows. 🙂 Hugs from sunshiny Maine.
Hello there Grace!
Yes, hump day, we made it over it again! Like I always say, time really does fly! Winnie is cute and he is a really good dog. I had a cat for a while and might get one again. They are much more independent, but still cuddly sometimes!
Thank you! I do love to make a collage style card! I like to “make” everything go together!
I dod have a very nice day! The weather was just about perfect! I even had the top down in the car on the way home! I just cleaned my windows last week! I like to be able to see out of them! LOL! Bug hugs from sunny Bethpage! XOXO 🙂
Taylored Expressions! That being said, I know what you mean about different company stamps and dies. I wonder how long sequins will be “in”…?? If you mail a square card in a rectangle envelope, do you have to pay extra postage…do you know?
No extra postage there. They go by the size of the envelopes Colleen.
Thank you Grace! 🙂
LOL! Yes, that would have been great, but there is a stamp company named that Colleen! LOL! I am really enjoying all of the “other” stuff that I have! I like to combine it all together! I am hoping that sequins will be around for a while, I have a lot of them! I see that Grace answered your question! Thanks Grace! 🙂
Collage…definately. Love your take on this sketch. Puppy is so darn cute! LOL you know my shelves collapsed because I have too much stuff, sadly I need, OK want more
Yup Linda! My favorite kind of card! Thank you! Glad that you enjoyed Winston’s glamour shot too! Yes, I do know why the shelves collapsed! I think my room may just burst soon! We all “need” more stuff! 🙂
What a handsome boy he is!! They look so spiffy with the bandannas on, don’t they 🙂 One of mine used to rub herself on the floor in a vain attempt to get that silly thing off, heehee.
Oh my gosh, Justin, I agree with Grace…It is sooo hard for me to do a collage card too. I always start with the best intentions and then, it’s like, what happened here?? Everything that you added has the perfect spot 🙂 I love the splatter, I’m going to have to work on that! I like the way your wooden starburst matches the Happy Day starburst. The Daffodil Delight washi tape was an awesome pop of color too 😀 Nice cool card Justin!!
Yes, he is a pretty spiffy puppy isn’t he Jill?!?! Winston has attempted the same method of removal but has given up and is now asleep on the couch!
Thank you! I’m so happy that you enjoyed the card! Collage cards are my all time favorite to make! Love to get all of this different stuff and find a way to make it all work! Hope that you had a nice day! 🙂
