Happy Monday! I had a nice fantastic weekend! Saturday in Manhattan and then some quality time cleaning the car yesterday. I finished off the evening with a little Chinese food and a movie with Mr. Trent. We watched the end of The Devil Wears Prada and then Into the Blue. I also managed to get some crafty stuff done yesterday too and ran to Target. It was rainy and overcast most of the weekend but when you are having that much fun you don’t even notice! I hope that you all had a nice weekend too!
Monday, and it’s time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge from the one and only Julee Tilman…
You know that I love a Tall & Skinny! Today’s card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My base for the background is a piece of Smoky Slate. Two pieces of paper from the Authentique Seaside 6X6 Collection are up next. The anchor is from the Guy Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Night of Navy. I used the Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Creative Cuts to cut it out and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. My Happy Birthday is from the From My Heart Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy on White. I flagged the ends and adhered it to the circle. I love all of the nautical-ness (is that even a word?! LOL!) of the card, a perfect birthday card for any guy! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. Now head on over to the blog and see what other inspiration awaits you from the rest of the team and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much of visiting today! Have an absolutely amazing Monday! 🙂

Since I saw this yesterday and loved it….and today….I still love this skinny card. Everything just works. The colors…the anchor…all of it. Great card!
Thank you so much Michael! I’m glad that you got to see it in person! 🙂
Just love this card. I also wanted to let you know that I really like how you decorate around your cards. You visually “merchandise” your cards with accessories like washi tape or vases. Beautiful ideas. You must be a graphic designer. If not, you should be.
Thank you so much Corrine! I’m happy that you like the set up too! I like to pick out things that make the picture a little more visually entertaining! I would love to be a graphic designer! Maybe I should look into that! 🙂
Good Morning Justin:
The kids have left (boo hoo) and now I will play catch up with your posts from Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Your card for today SCREAMS masculine! I just love it………. and the colors are so patriotic looking that it couldn’t possibly be more appropriate for a July birthday! Was that subliminal or did you plan it that way? LOL
I’ll catch up with you in an email but for now I just want to let you know that I had a fantastic weekend and it sounds like you did too. Nice that we are in sync! Love and Hugs, 🙂
Hello Grace!
Aww, but I’ll bet that you had a nice visit!
I was definitely going for über masculine with the card! I actually did plan the patriotic colors!
I look forward to your email! Know that you were missed here! Glad that your weekend was great too! Love you my friend! XOXOXO 🙂
I love the card!! Masculine cards are usually very hard for me and to have this idea stashed somewhere will help my head to not hurt so much next time I need one. Masculine and sympathy cards are the worst for me. I think a lot of us have a tough time with them. (Though, I must admit, I have a lot of trouble with all cards.)
Thank you Cindy! LOL! I do love a nice masculine card! I think that sympathy cards are hard for everyone, no one really likes to make them. I’m so that I inspire you! 🙂
Awesome card 🙂
Thanks Theresa! 🙂
Love this beautiful and amazing nautical themed card! It’s perfect!
Thank you very much Celeste! 🙂
