Made it thorough Monday! Yay! Thanks for all of the well wishes on the new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! I can’t wait to see the cards appear in the gallery! We had some issues with the Inlinkz yesterday but Eva helped me get that straightened out! It was a nice day here, it started off a little cloudy and rained for a short time but then the sun came out. Taylor helped me move some stuff around in the apartment last night and I Skyped with Andrea and Eva. Today I have a training to host in the morning and then I’m off to Manhattan this evening to see my friend Isabella! It’s been way too long since I have been into the city!
Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Patriotic Challenge. My card base is Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Striped Scallop Thinlits to cut out a piece of Real Red and adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Glue. My star is a piece of Night of Navy that I cut out with the Stars Framelits and then used the Simply Scored to make it easy to fold into the 3D Star. It too is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Glue. The greeting is from the Pictogram Punches Stamp Set and is heat embossed with a mix of Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Gold Stampin’ Glitter on a piece of Vellum. I put some SNAIL on the left and tucked it under the star. Clearly this isn’t a card that you would mail but I do love that 3D Star!! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the SUO Challenges Patriotic Challenge. Stop by the blog and see the rest of the design team’s projects and show us what you come up with by entering yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy Tuesday! 🙂

Thank you Jeanne! 🙂
I just love your card today. I have the scallop but haven’t used it yet — yours is perfectly showcased here. I can’t wait to try the scoring on a star — the 3 D is so cool. Stay cool, my friend! Congrats on the team position. Nancy B
Thank you Nancy! The dies is intricate but such a great one! I love the way the 3D stars look! Enjoy your day my friend! 🙂
Oh yes! Just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it.
🙂
Thanks so much Nancy! 🙂
O.K. Justin – so how do you mix embossing powder with glitter and not have the glitter just blow away when you put the heat gun to it? Is that a plain old star that you die cut and scored or is it one that is designed specifically to be scored and made 3D? Love the card and love the star. We need to convince you to start making “how to” videos for us. I know – we will get your friends to take you out and do a repeat of last Friday and have you agree that yes – you would love to make how to videos for all your followers. See, then you couldn’t back out. LOL
So your off to Manhattan tonight. See me turning green with envy here? It does seem that it’s been forever since you were in The City. My daughter and SIL actually stayed in Manhattan last weekend at the Waldorf. I guess that was something she has always wanted to do. Too expensive if you ask me. I love Manhattan but don’t want to stay over night. I’d rather head home and go back the next day. Not sure why.
You have yourself a simply Terrific Tuesday and give us a full report on your little trip. I’m sure Isabella has missed spending time with you. Hugs! XO
Well Grace, you just have to make sure that you have a nice well inked surface in Versa-Mark and be very careful! Yes, that is the pain old star die cut and scored, love the effect! If only I had the time for videos! Gotta do something about that full time job! Ha ha! That’s not nice! LOL! I can assure you that last Friday won’t happen again! LOL!
Yes, I had fun in the city, it has been way too long since I have gone in! I like to stay in the city when it’s at my friend Kim’s house! It is way too expensive!
I had a nice day and hope you did too! Love you! XOXO 🙂
I LOVE this card!!! So festive!!!
Thanks very much MaryJo! 🙂
Great card ! Love it ! And just look at those sassy little patriotic bottles standing beside it !
I am excited about your new adventure and looks like there are some good looking entries already !
Fun fun fun !!!
LOL! Thank you Sonny! You know how I love my props! I am thrilled to have the new challenge blog! I can’t wait to see them all! 🙂
Another awesome card! Love your ideas and examples!
Thank you very much Teresa! 🙂
Hey Justin, what a great card! It may be difficult to post but looks awesome on a mantelpiece 🙂 I love all things patriotic, the US flag is beautiful. One of my favourite things I noticed when we visited was lots of flags on the front of homes, it made me feel proud to be American (and I’m not, Lol!?!) I hope you enjoy your trip to Manhattan – be safe! Cheers Justin 🙂 xoxo
Hi Kelly!
Thank you! Yes, it is definitely easier as a display piece! Ha ha! You can be proud to be an American, it is infectious, especially around July 4th! Manhattan was fun! Hugs! XOXO 🙂
Great card! Love the star!!!! I have gone thru the new catty so many times the pages are fading, LOL, and I swear I never saw this stamp set. Love it!
Thank you very much Linda! I too have been though the catalog a hundred times! I always find something new! 🙂
