A quiet Sunday, necessary I guess. I did run over to Scrap-A-Latte to drop off two of the cards for this week’s class. I had to pick out some different paper for the other two, I didn’t like the original ones that I choose. Other than that I just worked on projects, did laundry and watched a little TV. I really do find it hard to do nothing by myself, odd huh? This week at work should be loads of fun said no one ever! Hopefully it will be a quick one!
It’s Monday so that means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…
I got stuck on the greeting and that is how the rest of today’s card came into being! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Smoky Slate and Basic Gray that are adhered to a piece of White. I heat embossed the Hero Arts with Studio Calico Tiny Star Background Stamp with some White Hero Arts Embossing Powder. The patterned paper is from the Studio Calico Atlantic Collection Paper Pad and is backed with some Neenah Solar White 80lb. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Encouragement Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Silver Embossing Powder on Basic Black. I used a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and the Simon Says Stamp Sketch Star Die for my embellishment. I love all of the stars and I didn’t realize that the patterned paper and the background stamp are coordinated until I typed this post! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. It would be great to see your card in the gallery so stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards! Thank you for checking in with me today! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Yes, a great card. I try to remember what my first reaction is when I scroll and see a picture. My first words today were, Oh I love it! I like the shades from white, to grays to silver and black. Very, very nice.
🙂
Thank you Nancy! Yay! It’s got a lot of stars! LOL! Have a great day! 🙂
I had to laugh when you said you didn’t realize the DSP and background stamp coordinated. Great card that pulls everything together in different shades.
I really didn’t HJ! Until I saw that the background was Hero with Studio Calico! LOL! Thanks, glad that you like the card! 🙂
Great coordination with all the stars. A stellar card this morning. Love it. Wishing you a great week. Super hot and humid here. Must be about the same where you are…. 🙂
Thanks so much Louise! I am hoping for a great week too! It’s not too bad here, although we are to have a some rain today. I hope that your week is fabulous! 🙂
What a great take on Mojo Monday!
Thanks very much Sharon! 🙂
Great card Justin. Hoping this week goes by quickly, I’m ready for some fun in SLC, how about you? Hope to see you there.
Thank you Janell! I am unfortunately not attending Convention this year, I choose London instead! Will miss seeing everyone! Have a blast! 🙂
Justin, I adore this card! I have a thing for black and white and gray, so it’s right up my alley. That die-cut star is perfect!
By the way … the link on the Mojo Monday page goes to your card from last week, and I got to this post by clicking on your blog header. I think it happened last week as well.
Wishing you a magical day!
Checked again, and now it’s okay. Maybe it’s MY browser. Sorry.
I don’t think that it’s you Dodie, I think that it takes a little bit for the Mojo Site to find me! 🙂
Thank you so much Dodie! I think that they update the links late in the day for Mojo. I’ll check it, but thanks for letting me know! I hope that you had a great day and thank you for stopping by! 🙂
Good Morning Justin:
I hope you made this card for yourself because YOU are remarkable! I love the silver glitter paper! I am surprised by how easy it is to cut and also to run through the Sizzix. You are right, all those stars coordinate beautifully and that die cut star couldn’t be more perfect!
I’m glad to hear you actually had a day that you were “bored”. LOL Once in a while you need to slow down and let your body catch up. You fit so much into each day that I get tired just reading about it. If I had that energy my house would be sparkling clean.
I hope you have a Magnificent Monday today……….I know it’s hard to believe that a Monday back at work could be Magnificent but once in a while it can surprise you with everything going well. Luv and hugs, XO 🙂
Hi Grace!
LOL! You are too good to me! When I cut an intricate die like the star I used a metal shim under the bottom cutting plate and it seems to help. Thank you!
I really didn’t enjoy my day of being bored! I have to say I would rather have some stuff to do! I should have cleaned the house but I was juts not feeling it, I was just lazy. Oh Well, like you said you do need that every once in a while!
My Monday wasn’t too bad. Work is a little crazy but that will pass. I think that some part of every day is Magnificent! I hope that you had a great day! XOXOXO 🙂
Hey Justin!
A day of rest is a good thing. 🙂
Love all the stars…. especially the die cut one.
Great card.
Happy Monday!

Thank you! I was good with the star, I used it as soon as I got it! 🙂
