Today is the ultimate Friday for me, I’m off from work until September 21st! I have a few things that need to be taken care of but I will be sneaking out a little early today too! Yesterday was another lovely day, sunny and warm. After work I went and picked up Michael from Sue’s. Her sister Arlene was there so we chatted for a bit and then went over to Michael’s dad’s to get the car. His dad is such a nice guy and I got to meet his step-mom! From there we stopped at the grocery store and then headed over to dinner at Brian and Kim’s. Heather and George were there too. It was a little farewell taco night fro Michael. We had a nice evening and even got to Skype with Carolyn for a little bit when we got back to my house. Boy, am I going to miss him when he leaves on Saturday. Here is a picture of us all from last night, even Izzy and Axe got in on it…
Now on to today’s card, it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…
Another nautical themed card! The base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Marina Mist with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies and adhered it to the card with SNAIL. The waves are from the Simon Says Stamp Sailing Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I cut them out with my Paper Snips and adhered part of them to the card across the middle. The sailboat is from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I cut it out with the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Set Sail Dies. A piece of paper from the Authentique Seaside 6×6 Paper Pad is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The rest of the waves and sailboat are adhered with Foam Tape to the circle. My greeting is also from the same set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black right on the card base. I love the two sailboat themed stamp sets and the patterned paper goes so well with them! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you very much for coming by and visiting with me today! Have an absolutely amazing Thursday! ๐

I am sorry that Michael is leaving too, I do have a great time when he is here, he is a great person! I try to enjoy as much as I can and I’m sure that London will be great! Thanks! ๐
Hi Justin, Well enjoy this day very much. Did you ever have three weeks off? I like this card very much. The Marina Mist is beautiful. I also like the DSP with the seagulls and the waves.
๐
Hey Nancy!
Thank you, I did! It has been a really long time since I have had that much time off and I am looking forward to it. Glad that you like the card! I always forget about Marina Mist and the DSP is fun! ๐
Love that card – the design and the colors are great. The waves are so cool! Great picture of you and your friends. Bye to Michael! I’ve enjoyed him too! What a wonderful summer you’ve had, and now on top of that three weeks of vacation and travel. Enjoy!
Thank you so much Carol! I’m glad that you have gotten to “see” Michael and my friends! I’m so happy that I get to share all that I do! I have had the best summer ever! London will be great, I get to see my family! ๐
I love the dimensionality of the boat and water! The sentiment seems appropriate for your ร ร trip even though you are probably flying to London.
A great good bye photo of you and the gang. I hate good byes! Two more days…enjoy what’s left as I’m sure you will. Nancy B
Thanks very much Nancy! Yes, the sentiment is great and yes I’m flying! LOL! It takes about a week to get there by boat! Glad that you enjoyed the pic! I am hoping today and tomorrow go really slowly! ๐
Ooh I really, really like this one, Justin! Love the sailboat, the waves, the colors, everything!
Thanks very much Sandy! Love the waves! ๐
Good Morning Justin!
What a fantastic masculine card you presented to us today. I love the way the waves look like you have slits on either side of them and they “weave” through the circle! Brilliant! AND, since blue is my absolute favorite color I need not say more about that. LOL
Michael looks just like his Dad! Does he live close to your place? What a fun photo and I love that Izzy and Axe jumped into the photo also. Looks like a fun group to me.
I’m so excited for you with this upcoming trip to London. You are going to have a blast for sure. You are also fortunate in that you get to take three weeks off in a row. We were never allowed to hook up our vacation time for that long a period, it always had to be broken up. You have yourself a Terrific Thursday and we can’t wait to see your vacation photos. Love and hugs and wishes for an amazing vacation! XO ๐
Hi Grace!
Thank you so much! The waves are cool and I’m enjoying what little Copics I have! Blue is my favorite color too!
Yes, Michael does look like his dad and they both have the same sense of humor! His dad does live close by, actually very close to my job! The group picture was great! Michael loves Axe!
I’m happy to be going to London and I will have fun! I am lucky to get three weeks off but I have the time so… I think that you need to enjoy life as much as possible, I give 100% at work and when I’m done for the I’m done. There is too much that you can miss focusing on one thing. I hope that you had a great day! Can’t wait to share the pictures! XOXO ๐
Terrific card as always Justin!
Have a fabulous vacation, London is awesome!
Thanks you so much Dana! London is great! ๐

Cute little boat Justin. So you have family in London do you come from there originally or are you a New Yorker so to speak.

Wow! I just love this CAS nautical card! The colors are wonderful and your design is spot-on gorgeous! Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
Love this card, Justin! The rectangle and the circle work so well together, as well as the ocean motif die cut elements with the designer paper, and your color choices. *Love* the sentiment, too! This is perfect for your upcoming trip over the pond. What fun!!!
