Mojo Monday 420 & The Store!

What a lovely and fun weekend I had! Yesterday I went into Manhattan to meet up with my friend Kim, she is staying at a friend’s watching their dogs for the weekend on West 92nd Street. We left the apartment and headed out to have breakfast at Elizabeth’s Neighborhood Table on 93rd and Columbus and what a delicious breakfast it was! From there we walked over to 96th and Broadway, there was a street fair going for 10 blocks so we walked though and came across this stall selling these really cool t-shirts! After speaking to the owner, Brant Fuse, we bought four between the two of us. They are really cool and you should go and check out his web site HERE. I got the Shoyu T-Rex, he’s one mean looking bottle of Soy Sauce! After we walked the length of the fair we stopped back at the apartment before heading down to 48th Street to see A Gentleman’s GuideΒ to Love and Murder. What a funny and well acted performance that was! Here are Kim and I outside the theater…

And here is a shot of the stage, we had really great seats!

After the play I headed back to Penn Station to take the train back out to the Island. Like I said an excellent weekend indeed! Today I’m watching Scrap-A-Latte for Renee while she takes a long needed break and visits her wonderful son Nicholas for his birthday! Happy Birthday Nic! πŸ™‚

Stampin' Galley Shop JK Cards Logo

Remember that thing that I worked on with Brian and Andrew this past week? Well today is the day that I get to tell you what it was! My Stampin’ Galley is busting at the seams and I need to make some room! I decided that I would go through some of my older Stampin’ Up! sets and get them ready to go to new homes! They are all in excellent condition, I take really good care of my stuff! If there are any extras included they are mentioned in the comments. If you click HERE or the Store link across the top you can go and take a look at what is currently available. The prices are comparable to what they are currently worth (after doing some checking on-line!) and all sales are final. They ship USPS Priority Mail and I’ll even send a little Mojo along with them! If you have any issues with the Store or ordering please let me know! Because you are my favorite blog peeps you get first dibs! Happy shopping!

Now on to today’s card which is for this week’s Mojo Monday! The fabulous Julee has given us another great sketch…

Mojo420

I used another recently acquired set that I have been dying to try out! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a wide strip of that fun shiny black paper and a thin strip of Silver Glimmer Paper down the front of the card. My tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb using the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Dies. All of the images are from the Simon Says Stamp with Altenew Exclusive Layered Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. The leaves are stamped directly on the tag in Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf and Olive Ink. I stamped the flowers on another piece of Solar White 80lb in Simon Says Stamp Rosie Cheeks, Teeny Bikini and Schoolhouse Red Ink. The flowers are then cut out with my Paper Snips and adhered to the tag with Foam Tape and SNAIL. I threaded a pice of “Vintage” Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and then I tied a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Cord around it. The tag is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I flagged the right side before adhering it to the tag with a thin strip of Foam Tape. I’m really loving the layered stamps and these ones are great! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Click on over the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery! Thanks so much for coming by today! I wish you all a very magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚

  1. Justin, your card is beautiful today. I love how you colored the flowers. Way to go with your store. You are just moving and shaking all the time, aren’t you? That’s great to see all your energy and creative talents used in this way. Thanks for sharing your goodies.

    1. Thanks so much HJ! I love the layered stamps, makes it so easy! I am trying to find other avenues to get by! LOL! Hope you are having a great day! πŸ™‚

  2. PsstΓ—Γ—Γ—Brian is misspelled above unless he is friends with Pinkie. I know that computers and phones always auto correct that one. I have told alk my Grandchildren never name your child Brian unless you spell it Bryan

    1. Thank you Patricia! I fixed it right away! LOL! He likes to think that he’s a brain! LOL! That’s a good idea with the spelling! πŸ™‚

  3. Justin, I enjoy looking at your cards. I love New York, as I have visited twice, in 1989 and 1990 to see a relative. You sound like you have lots of friends and enjoy lots of fun activities. I was an R.N. until I developed many health issues and have been on disability for 19 years, with low energy and a lot of pain. . . I make cards for relatives, friends and many charities, and also do this with my knitting and crochet. I have a hard time even leaving home. I looked at your stamps for sale. I have bought some through a SU demonstrator, and many on ebay. Your prices are ridiculously high! I have some of the ones listed and I paid way less. You must be trying to make a huge profit. Maybe you have friends who can pay that much; I certainly can’t. Used stamp sets are not worth what you are charging. I won’t be following you again, though big deal to you, right?

    1. Hi Marti!
I sent you an email. I’m sorry that the pricing on the stamps has offended you. You are under no obligation to buy anything. I was pricing them according to the going prices on the internet. Sorry that you will no longer be visiting. Have a good day! πŸ™‚

  4. Hi Justin! Just love hearing about all the fun you have! Glad you are thinning down your supply of stamps and cards. I’m not able to view your cards but I’m sure it’s on my end. I’m at the older desktop we have, I’ll check with the laptop later in the day. Love your card for today…I’ve always loved tag cards! Very nice! Have fun holding down the shop for Renee. I’m sure you’re having a blast!!

    1. Hello Karen!
I do have a good time and I’m happy that I get to share it with you! I need to thin down a lot! I haven’t listed any of the cards yet, they will come in a few weeks! Tag cards are a favorite of mine too! Scrap-A-Latte id fun, I get to play all day! πŸ™‚

      1. Thanks Justin—glad I wasn’t missing your beautiful cards. Can’t wait to see those, once you get them listed!

  5. Love the card!! And so jealous you got to see that musical–I’m waiting patiently for it to come to Nashville!!

  6. OMG this is gorgeous, I know I say that on every post but i love your creations. the colors are fabulous. I commend you for cleaning, I have such a hard time picking what I no longer want. Sold a few things at a stamp garage sale last spring. Made a nice profit but it was hard

    1. Thank you very much Linda!! I’m glad that you say that about every post! I just need to accept that I need to part with some stuff, my space limitations prevent me from hoarding any more! LOL! πŸ™‚
