It’s a little chilly here this morning but it’s the weekend so it’s all good! Yesterday I went over to Scrap-A-Latte in the morning to help Renee with some stuff and then came back home so I could meet Sue and got to lunch. We went to the Sequa Deli and I had a the Buffalo Chicken Panini. We sat and chatted for a while, I told her all about my trip, I haven’t seen her since before I left for England! After lunch we came back to my house for a bit and looked at some of my cards. It was great to catch up with her! After, I had dinner at my parents and played with Daniel for a bit before running out to do some errands. I met up with Heather at BJ’s and then came home and watched Jurassic World. This morning I’m headed into Manhattan to hang at The Ink Pad again which is always fun!
Last night I was going through my stash and came across a die that I haven’t used and a card popped into my head! Love it when that happens! The base for the card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Island Indigo that I heat embossed with Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder using the Hero Arts Waves Background Stamp, it’s then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. In the left corner is that die, the Memory Box Oceana Corner cut from some Paper Cut Ice Gold Metallic Curious Card Stock. I used little tiny pieces of Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. My greeting is the Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Die cut from the same card stock and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Of course, to finish off the card there is a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the Silver Pearl Embossing Powder and the way it changes color in the light! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and that you all have a super Saturday! Thanks very much for visiting! 🙂

You only have one die that you haven’t used? I’m so jealous!!!! This is really great, I love how you created the background, looks like the deep sea. Cool damp here but its Saturday!!!!
Ahh… if only that were true Linda! LOL! Glad that you like the card and yes, the weekend makes everything better! 🙂
I think this is one of my favourite cards! Have got a copy of the information to put on the BUY list. Love the look of the blue card – was the Waves Background done with Island Indigo ink on the Island Indigo card?
Thank you very much Susan! The waves are done on Island Indigo with Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. 🙂
*Love* this card, Justin! The texture of the embossed background really provides a great “ocean” effect, and that Oceana die goes wonderfully with the textured background. Great card!!!
Thanks El! I too love that dies, now just to find other things to do with it! 🙂
