So how is your week going so far? Mine isn’t too bad, I actually got a lot accomplished around the house yesterday! Brian came over in the morning and helped me rearrange the furniture in my bedroom and it seems much bigger now! I dusted and vacuumed the whole house and then went on a purge spree! Love when I get in that mood! I like to keep boxes that things come in, not the best idea when you have a very small apartment! I threw out a ton of boxes and other crap that I no longer need! Feels so good! I had dinner with my parents, brother and Daniel. He was a bit cranky yesterday because he skipped his nap! I get like that too! LOL! Later on I ran up to Michael’s to get a few supplies and then came home and crafted for a bit before watching Limitless! Love that show!
Well, it’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crewย blog for this week’s challenge and it’s a theme…
Thank you cards, you can never have enough of those! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I covered the entire front in a piece of Kraft Card Stock. The background is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card that I stamped some leaves, well, a lot of leaves from the Simon Says Stamp Apple of My Pie Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and then heat embossed them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. They are colored in with my Paintbrush, some water and Yellow Ochre, Vermillion, Crimson Red and Deep Green Royal Langnickel Watercolors. Here is what the panel looks like by itself…
After they dried I adhered the panel to the card with Tombo Extreme Adhesive. The greeting is also form the Apple of My Pie Stanp Set and is heat embossed with more Gold on Vellum. I cut the frame out with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut from another piece of Kraft, heat embossed a additional greeting on the bottom of the frame and adhered the greeting to it. I decided at the last minute that I could make this a shaker card so I adhered 3M Foam Tape along the edges and filled it with some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti. I do love that greeting and the way that you can still make out the leaves behind it and see the confetti! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team have done and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐

What a stunning card, Justin. Again your creativity is working overtime!! All the different elements work so well together. Thanks for inspiring us today. Have a great day.
Thank you HJ! So happy that I get to inspire you!! Hope you enjoyed your day! ๐
All in one day – a beautiful card, moving furniture, clean g, dusting, and purging. A really good day!
LOL! Yes Carol, a very good day indeed! ๐
Love that gold embossing! what a beautiful card!
Thank you Susan! ๐
Hi Justin:
Now that you have your apartment all dusted and vacuumed that would mean you have time to come to my house and do the same. After all practice makes perfect right? AND, I won’t even charge you for practicing here. Such a deal!!!!
I love gold embossing powder, actually almost all embossing powders. Using the watercolor pencils on them is so much easier than just on an image because the embossing powder contains the color within its borders. You really did a fabulous job coloring those leaves. See, now I would have left it like that or maybe added a tag with a saying but you – you have the eye to do something to make the card sensational by adding the shaker. How do you come up with these ideas?
Have yourself a whimsical Wednesday. The sun is shining here but it’s pretty dang cold. Love & Hugs, XO ๐
Hello Grace!
Ha ha! I need to fit cleaning into my weekly routine more often! Yes, practice makes perfect but I have a lot more practice to do here! LOL!
I too love Gold Embossing Powder, well, all embossing powder! I just used regular watercolors, I’m not a fan of the pencils. I do love the way the embossing help contain it though! The shaker was definitely a last minute thought!
I hope that you had a good day and that you are all better! Love to you! XOXO ๐
Wow, all that gold embossing! Gorgeous! Once you are finished cleaning at Grace’s house, you can come here and purge my stuff. You get to keep what you clean out, and believe me, there is plenty here! No charge here either. Have a great Wednesday! Nancy B
Thanks Nancy!! LOL! No, if I keep your stuff then my purging was for nothing! LOL! Hope you had a good Wednesday! ๐
I adore this card–love all the colors and techniques you used!
Thank you so much Teresa! ๐
