Another fun day in Manhattan at The Ink Pad. I helped Barbara with the Christmas cards and did some other stuff around the store. Kathryn Erbe came in to pick up some markers for her daughter. She was sining along to Sam Smith which I had playing on the stereo. A very nice lady and still has that great smile that she had in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The train was much less crowded on the way home and that made it easy for me to fall asleep. I woke up just as the doors were closing in Bethpage, that’s my stop! Thankful dad was able to come and get me from the next stop, Farmingdale. I haven’t done that in a while! I had some pizza for dinner and then sat down to make my card for today. I played with some new goodies that I got yesterday which is always fun!
The card that I made has a nice spring-like feel to it! I’m hoping to coax the warm weather to come back! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Soft Sky to serve as a backdrop for the cherry blossoms from the Mama Elephant Lunar Extras Photopolymer Stamp Set. I colored itΒ in with Copics and then cut itΒ out with the Coordinating Creative Cuts, some Multi-Matte Medium Adheres it to the background. The front panel is a piece of My Minds Eye Wood Necessities 6×6 Paper. I used the Mama Elephant Window Watching Creative Cuts to cut out the negative and then cut it again from Solar White 80lb and pieced it back in. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. My greeting is the Mama Elephant Hello Script Creative Cuts, I cut it from some more Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the bottom of the card with more Multi-Matte Medium. I love that cherry blossom branch and it looks so neat through the window! I hope that you enjoyed my simple card for today! Thank you for visiting and enjoy the start of your week!

Thank you so much HJ! I’m trying to scare away Winter! I hope it works! LOL! You have an awesome day! π
LOVE this card. CAS!
Thanks you very much Michael!! Love your button card too! π
Love the woodgrain background and seeing the pretty flower through the window. It’s like a refreshing breath of Spring!
Thanks Carol! We need to see spring so that we can maybe miss the Winter! LOL! π
Absolutely gorgeous card Justin! I am always fascinated by “window” cards whether they are looking outside or looking in. It’s fun to see how card makers use their imaginations to see things one might actually see looking out their windows or to glimpse what is inside when passing by. These types of scenes bring to mind the word “intimate” since everyone has their own definition of beauty. If I made a card replicating what I see outside my windows I would need 6 or 7 different pine tree stamps. LOL
Glad you had fun in Manhattan and you are lucky your Dad is so patient. Some folks might have said “if you don’t have enough sense to get off at the right stop, you can walk”! I know, I know you fell asleep which is easy to do when the train is rocking back and forth on the tracks. You need to read a book or watch a movie on your phone so that doesn’t happen. LOL
Have yourself a Magnificent Monday my friend. I’m being lazy but need to get busy or nothing will get done. Love & Hugs from Maine! XXOO π
Thank you Grace! I like a window card too for the same reason! I’ll bet that the view outside your window is beautiful!
Yes, my dad is a great guy! It would have been a far walk from Farmingdale home, too far! LOL! Yes, the rocking of the train makes it very easy to fall asleep! I usually try to do something but I just wanted a little nap! LOL!
I had a great Monday! You are allowed to be lazy for a bit, enjoy it! Love and hugs to you!! XOXO π
