Happy end of the week and start of the weekend! It was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday! In the 60’s so I took a ride over to Scrap-A-Latte with the top down in the car to see Renee. We got caught up and then I came back to my house and Daniel came over for a visit with my dad. He watched some Mickey Mouse andΒ the Beanstalk and had a Lays Dark Chocolate Covered Potato Chip! I asked him if it was good and he said very good… more?! After dinner with my parents and brother and Daniel of course I ran to Target and then headed over to Heather’s for thirsty Thursday! It’s always nice to get the weekend started a little early! We really do have a good time and a really good laugh every time! This morning I have a few projects to finish and then I’m taking Brian and Kim to the airport with the kids. They are taking them on a surprise trip to Disney for the weekend! A very nice early Christmas prezzy! My dad decorated the front yard yesterday and Daniel was inspecting everything for him. I love this picture of him standing next to the Santa that they have had since I was little!
Santa needs a bit of touching up! He still looks good for his age! LOL!
It’s time for the last Fab Friday of 2015! This time around we have some colors…
I decided that I wanted to do a little simple watercoloring! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Pool Party that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wood Embossing folder, this time the birch trees. On the left I adhered a strip of Real Red and Mossy Meadow and then adhered the panel to the card base. My tag is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper that I die cut with the Clearly Besotted Rounded Tag Die. My bird is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Using the Hero Arts Bird Rubber Stamp. I scribbled some Pool Party, Real Red and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Markers onto an acrylic block and used a wet paintbrush to color him in, I dried him and then added another layer to give him a more feathery look. The greeting is form the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I tied a piece of Hemptique Black Natural Hemp Cord through the top and then adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I added a few Studio Calico Wood Stars to complete the card. I am quite fond of that odd little bird, he’s sort of cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for the last Fab Friday challenge of 2015! Go and check out the blog and see what the rest of the team has done to inspire you to add your creation to the gallery! Thank you for visiting today and I hope that you have a fun Friday! π

What a precious picture of Daniel and Santa – a treasure to keep. Santa looks just fine. I love the history of decorations that have been in the family for years.
Thanks Carol! He really is a good little boy and he’s fascinated with Christmas! I too love that we have had that Santa since I was little! π
Hi Justin, Sounds like all is going good for you. Yeah. This card is very cute. I like the bird especially. Santa & Daniel are precious. Do you put a tree up? We didn’t get ours yet. Hope to make my Christmas cards today, or at least start them.
π
Hello Nancy!
Thank you! Things are ok! Daniel is a cutie and yes, I actually have two trees up! One is my Grandmother’s ceramic one! I hope to get some cards out this week too! Good luck to us both! π
Good morning Justin:
I really love the EF you used on this card! Can you use the Wink of Stella on wooden embellishments?
Daniel is so precious and it will be so much fun to be with him on Christmas morning! The fun thing to do would be to take a photo of him with this Santa every Christmas and watch him grow. Santa is way taller than he is. I started taking a photo of my girls lying on the floor looking up at the tree every year in the same pose and, even though one is 50 and the other is 46 they still do that photo every year. I have a photo album of just that photo and it’s so much fun to look at together every year.
I’ve been off the computer for a few days so I’m trying to play catch up once again. It seems I’m doing that all too often during this busy season. Wishing you a Fabulous Friday. Love & Hugs. XO π
Hello Grace!
Thanks! It’s a great EF! And yes, you can pretty much use Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on anything!
Daniel is just the best and Christmas is always better when there is a little one around! I think that your used about the picture is great! Your album sounds like fun!
You are missed when you don’t stop by! It’s a busy time of year for sure! Hope that you are enjoying your weekend and getting all of your stuff done! Love to you! XOXO π

Good of you and your tickets!! Yes, I agree, it’s annoying to try and get tickets for anything these days but you will have a great time!! π
I love the picture of Daniel and Santa. He is so adorable. I like your card with the great design using the Fab Fri colors. Your watercoloring is very nice. I need more practice.
Thanks so much HJ! I do love to watercolor and forget to do it as much as I would like to! Practice makes perfect! π
