Happy Friday! I had another really good week and hope that the same is true for you! Yesterday I ran around taking care of some errands one of which was stopping at the AT&T Store to see what deals they had going on. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had a buy one iPhone get one free when you start a new line promotion! I got an iPhone 6S Plus and an iPhone 6S for my mum. After all of the setup and switching was done Taylor was quite happy to get my old phone too! From there I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to get ready for Card Class. This morning I have a few things to get done and then I need to find a case for my phone, it freaks me out to have it all naked!
Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for this week’s sketch challenge…
I had watched a video that Jennifer McGuire posted for Simon Says Stamp the other day where she added an acetate panel to her card so I thought I would give it a try! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I trimmed out 2 inches from the front and replaced it with a piece of Acetate. It’s adhered to the card front with Scor-Tape and then a piece of Soft Sky is adhered over the top of that. I then stamped the card front with the birch tress from the Mama Elephant Winter Wonderland Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink. On the inside of the card I stamped the wreath from the Mama Elephant Charmed Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black along with more images from the set on a piece of Solar White 80lb. They are all colored in with my Copics and the owl, banner, ribbon, heart and flower are cut out with the Coordinating Charmed Creative Cuts and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I really like that acetate panel in card front with the wreath underneath, makes for a nice change from a standard card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Team has to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! š

Love love love love Love this card!!! You could also put the owl inside the card sitting in the wreath with just the phrase outside, as another option! Love it!!!!!!!
Thank you so much Michael, or should I say Mr. Scissorhands! LOL! What’s with all of the different names?! Yes, there are many different ways to change up the card. š
Cute card, Justin. I love the tip on using acetate. I’ll have to try it. Have a great day!
Thank you so much HJ! The acetate was fun! Hope that you enjoyed your day! š
Wow, wow, wow Justin! That is the coolest card I’ve seen in a while! I have absolutely got to try it. I know what a surprise that type card would be for my friends. Now, is the acetate strong enough to keep the card straight? I just wondered if it was thick enough to support the cardstock. AND I love that you put the wreath inside and then popped adorable little owl on the acetate! You just cannot get any cuter than this card – I shouldn’t say that – every time I do you do something even more incredible! LOL
Have yourself a Fun Friday! Next time you get a free phone I want you to bring it to my place and then spend the next 3 months teaching me to use it because that is how long it would take. You’re a great son to do that for your Mum. Love and hugs, XXOO š
Thank you so much Grace! It was really fun and different! Yes, the acetate is strong enough to hold the card up! I hope that I always get to wow you!
I enjoyed my Friday, hope that you did too! LOL! Sure, I’d be happy to come and hang with you for a few months! Love my mum and love you too! XOXO š
