Hello everyone and welcome to Tuesday! It was a lovely warm day here yesterday, it got up into the 50’s! That I can definitely get use to! I’m sure that it won’t last for long so I will relish it while I can! I had a relatively productive morning. I got to speak to my Aunt Shirley in England on FaceTime for a bit and then crafted with Andrea over FaceTime. I use FaceTime a lot! Taylor came by with Kiera in the afternoon and we all had dinner at my parent’s. My shows were on last night, the X-Files and Lucifer and both were great! This morning Andrew is coming by and we are going to take Sandy to the airport and then work on researching some stuff. I haven’t seen him in ages so it will be good to spend some time together!
It’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and this week we have a timely color combo for you…
I love the colors and wanted to do a little watercoloring! I have had this idea in my head for a while so I thought that it was time to get it out! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card taped down with Blue Painter’s Tape to a board for my “canvas”. I laid down a heart die and watercolored the heart staying about 1/4″ inside the die. For the heart I mixed some Royal Langnickel Crimson Red with some White and dried it with my Heat Tool. I added some more white on top and then used Prussian Blue mixed with White to paint around the heart. I dried that with my Heat Tool too. The gold hearts are painted freehand using Fintec Pharaonen Gold. I trimmed down the panel and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The hello is cut from Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Craft Die. I adhered them to each other and the card using Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The love is from the Simon Says Stamp Cute Snowflakes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black Ink. I love the way the blue really makes the red heart pop and those Finetec Watercolors are amazing! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Justin,
Great card!! You’re getting quite artistic! Love all those hearts.
Hi Gerri!
Thank you! I did have fun painting freehand for a change! The gold hearts are my favorite part! 🙂
Great, love the hearts as well
Thank you Donna! 🙂
I too like the gold hearts the best on this card Justin. I bet it was fun doing a bit of “free hand” for a change. I’m not into the water coloring myself but I’m glad other people are so that I get to enjoy what they create. Hard to believe that gold is a watercolor. It looks like glitter.
Beautiful sun shinny weather here today…………we’ll see what the ground hog has to say. LOL No big plans for the day. Will just relax and let the old back heal. I have lots of good books that I got for Christmas plus a 5 hour DVD of Sons of Liberty to watch. You have yourself the best Tuesday evah! Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂
Thank you Grace! Yes, the little hearts are my fave too! I t was really fun just watercoloring, I need to do it more often! The gold paint is awesome!
It was a nice day here yesterday too! The groundhog said an early spring! Yay! It’s going to be rainy here all day today. I had a very early morning and took a nap when I got back from the airport! I hope that you enjoyed your relaxing day! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
I love your blogs. I have tried to contact you before because I saw the “lovely as a tree” thinlets on one of your blogs and would like to know where to get them. I did not get a response back from you. I found a site , “dies by dave” who also have these and have tried to contact him but his site is down for maintenance. I am a Stampin’up user and they have the stamp andwould love to have the thinlets. Could you help me or give me some info on how to get them?
Thank you so much Barb! I’m sorry that I didn’t get back to you, I always answer comments and emails. I don’t know what happened. DiesByDave has been shut down a few times by Stampin’ Up! I’m not sure where he has moved to but I’ll see if I can find out. 🙂
I absolutely love this card!! You are so talented!
Thank you so much Teresa! 🙂
Love this card, great job at freehand! Long day here. Grey skies, thick with fog and non stop rain. Feel like I’m in Lodon, i wish! Hard to complain, the storm missed us and moved North, I cant even imagine how much snow we would have had. Take care….hump day coming up
Thank you very much Linda! I did have fun watercoloring! LOL! I love when people say that when it’s raining they feel like they are in London! I have been there and it really doesn’t rain that much! Glad that the storm missed you! Have a great Wednesday! 🙂
