And it’s Thursday already! Another week just whipping by! Yesterday was another nice day here, a little colder but sunny. I went over to Heather’s for lunch and had some of her homemade chicken soup, it was delicious! We spent a little time chatting while she worked, she works from home, my ideal job! When I left Heather’s I decided that I would stop by my old office to drop off Danielle’s scarf that she left at my house a few weeks ago. It was really nice to see everyone! I do miss Danielle, Nicole, Cindy and Robin. Nancy wasn’t there, she is on vacation with her family so I will have to go back and see her. When I got back home I crafted with Andrea over FaceTime before having dinner with my parents. The rest of the evening was spent doing a little more crafting and getting sucked into watching videos of Adele’s opening night concert in Ireland. She really is just amazing! Today, I’ll be heading over to see my friend Sue and then a quick stop off to see Renee!
The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players sketch from Claire…
Andrea had commented that I haven’t used Stampin’ Up! in a while so I thought that today’s card would be perfect for some of the new stuff from the Occasions Catalog! My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of Basic Gray that I embossed with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Above that is a piece of “Vintage” Brushed Gold Card Stock. My panel down the left is a piece of paper from the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack, I adhered it to the card with BlackΒ Fun Foam and SNAIL. My globe and greeting are from the Going Global Clear Mount Stamp Set. I heat embossed the globe in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on more Ivory 110lb, the greeting is stamped in Onyx Black also on Ivory. I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits to cut out the globe and the greeting is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. They are both adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I tucked a banner cut from more Brushed Gold under the globe and then added some Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Onyx Sequins along with a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars. I do really love that stamp set and the DSP too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge! Thank you for your visit today! I wish you all a lovely Thursday! π

Hi Justin, I noticed you must be building up quite a collection of those “J’s” and I even saw a “K” the other day – I could borrow that one! I love them, I think my favourite is the sanded back, creamy white one π This card is great for blokes – you’ve done a great job! Enjoy your Thursday, I did – I went back to work today, and it was good – the bonus of working with truly good-hearted people. I’m very blessed:-D Cheers to you Justin XOXO
Hello Kelly! Yes, I have quite the collection of J’s and K’s! I’m a little obsessed with my initials! Yes, the K’s would be good for you! Glad that you like the card! I’m glad that you have people around you to brighten your day! You always brighten mine! Have a great weekend! XOXO π
Love your stellar card Justin – truly out of this world! The textured panel is subtle in black and works really well, as does the sprinkling of sequins and stars. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players again this week!
Thanks so much Joanne! I love that DSP and even more so with the stars and sequins! Have a super weekend! π
Hi Justin!
Love this card!! It’s one of my favorite SU sets. Love the way you enhanced the dsp with the stars and sequins!! That’s an idea that I must steal. π
Hey Gerri!
Thank you! One of my favorite Stampin’ Up! sets too! Sequins make everything better!! LOL! π
Good Morning Justin!
That DSP and stamp set are two of my favorites ever! I too love the way you added the stars and sequins to it, just genius! The card in it’s entirety is just “out of this world”! I know, bad pun but I couldn’t resist! LOL
It’s really super cold here today, 20 degrees not counting the wind chill, and I absolutely have to go out. Brrrr – I like winter but we don’t even have any snow on the ground so why send in the cold air? Sometimes Mother Nature doesn’t listen to my requests and I just don’t know why! You have yourself a Terrific Thursday, tomorrow is your favorite day of the week. Luv ya, XXOO π
Hello Grace!
Yes, I love that Suite of products! Thank you! LOL! That was a good one!
It was cold here too yesterday but sunny, this morning it’s snowing. We had a lot of wind yesterday too. I’m totally over Winter, maybe this will be the last snow! Hope that you have a fantastic day! Love you too! XOXO π
