Do you ever have one of those days? The kind where you have so much to get done and you just can’t pick a starting point so not much gets done! I hate when that happens! That was my Sunday! The weather was so nice I think that it may have played a part in my distraction! I kept wanting to be outside! I did get a few things done but no where near as many as I wanted! Oh well, we’ll try to finish up things today! I was supposed to take Heather to the airport this morning but she called me last night and apparently she has a 101 fever so she won’t be going anywhere. Feel better Heather! How was your Sunday?
Today is Monday and that means that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…
This card all began with the urge to watercolor and evolved from there! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Creative Cuts to cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb. It’s gives it that nice cross stitched detail around the edge. I then masked off the edge with some Post-it Tape and stamped the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp onto it using my MISTI and Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. It’s then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The three panels are Gold Mirror Card Stock and they are adhered with Foam tape and E-Z Runner. The flower and leaves are from the Mama Elephant Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them in and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. A little more E-Z Runner adheres them to the card. My greeting is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Mama Elephant Hello Script Creative Cuts and adhered to the flowers and leaves with Multi-Matte Medium. It really is funny how hard it is to take a good photo of a card with Mirror Card Stock on it! The greeting really stands out in real life! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery so we can see your creative take! Thank you very much for starting your week off by stopping by to see me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Love that cross stitch look around the edge. I kept trying to figure out what the three “banners” on the left were that you didn’t mention and it finally clicked that those are your fingers in the mirror paper! Would love to see more pics of that kind of paper! Fun take on the sketch. TFS
Thank you Susan! The Stitching Dies are so much fun! LOL! That Mirror Card is very hard to photograph! I’m definitely going to get it in more colors! 🙂
Hey Justin, wow – mirror card indeed! We can see you 😉 This is a cool card, something different! I like that hello die, it can be used for so many occasions!! I bet that on your least productive day you get more accomplished than most people! I had a big weekend – my daughter has her high school graduation/formal coming up and we went to the city for a big day of dress shopping. She looked just stunning in whatever she tried on and she chose the most beautiful dress! It was such a great day 🙂 I hope your week has started off well, and you got the rest of your jobs done! Cheers Justin xox
Hi Kelly! Yes, it’s definitely a mirror finish! LOL! Tha hello die is a nice simple script and yes, it’s good for a lot! I need to have a not-do-anything day! I’m really exhausted! Oh, a nice day in the city, my favorite! Your daughter sounds gorgeous just like you! So happy that you had a great day! I’m ready to sleep! LOL! Big hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Beautiful card, Justin. I love the big flower with the mirror panels on the cross-stitched background. So sorry to hear Heather isn’t feeling well. I hope she feels better soon. Take care and have a Marvelous Monday. It will be a good day for a ride with the top down, but remember the sunscreen.
Thank you HJ! It was a fun card to make, something a little different! Heather is much better, thanks! I am enjoying my busy week in the city, love Manhattan! I am definitely missing my car! LOL! 🙂

HI Justin:
At first I thought you were using some of that photograph paper that is becoming so popular………….then, when I read your description and realized it was the reflection of you taking the photo I cracked up laughing. Goes to show I need to read the description first. I really do love the mirror paper! Super card from a super card artist. Love it.
Wishing you a Magnificent Monday. Weather is perfect here. Not much going on and I like it that way. Hope Heather feels better soon and that Nancy makes out all right with her test today. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂
Hello Grace!
LOL! Yup, that’s me! Such a difficult card to photograph, you really need to see it in person! Thank you, as always, you are too kind!
I am really enjoying my week, but it’s making it difficult to keep up with everything! I’ll take you week next week thanks! LOL! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
gorgeous! Yep i usually have those days, LOL but I always get a second wind around 9pm, just in time to go to bed to get up for work.
I’ve had my Gansai Tambi Watercolors for over two months now and finally had time to play with them. Still need to practice but I’m pretty happy with the three cards that I made. The paints are awesome.
Glad Monday is over, take care
Thank you Linda! I am the same, when I get home and sit down I’m like ok, I can do a little more!
I had my water colors for a while too but aren’t they great?! Hope that you are having a great week! 🙂
