Oh yes my friends it’s Friday! We had another spectacular day here on Long Island yesterday and I had a bunch of errands to run so the top was down in my car all day! I enjoyed every minute of it! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then went and met Bill for lunch. After that I stopped back at my parents and saw Daniel for bit before grabbing a few things from my house and heading over to Sue’s. I have to say that she is just an amazing friend and I’m so happy to have her in my life. She helps me out with so much stuff and I’m grateful for all that she does for me! After my little visit it was back home, Sandy stopped by for a bit and then I headed back over to my Parent’s for dinner. Heather came by around 6:30 and picked me up so that we could run to BJ’s and then we stopped back at my house so that I could follow her, she had drop off her car for an oil change. From there it was over to her house for Thirsty Thursday! Taylor and Kiera stopped by for a bit and Stephanie was there! Phew, another busy but great day! Today… I’m not sure what I have to do but I’m sure that it’s a lot! LOL!
It’s a doubly good Friday because it’s time for another Fab Friday Challenge! This time around we have a sketch…
We all know that I love me some woodgrain and this card is just filled with it! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the birch trees in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb using the Concord & 9th Tree Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set and adhered it to my card base for the background. My flagged strip is a piece of Black 110lb. On top of that is a piece of Bronze Card Stock that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. Next, I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Photopolymer Stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto a piece of Sahara Sand. It’s cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Finally I stamped my heart and greeting, also from the Tree Hugs Set, in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut that out with my Scissors too. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner also adhere that to the card. I decided to keep it nice and clean no sequins, just incase I needed a “man” card! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards on the BLOG and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you for having some Friday fun with me! Have a fantastic day! 🙂

Love it! Excellent “Man Card” I’m off to the nursery to get some flowers. We have beautiful]l weather so I need to take advantage of it. I did get some crafty time in yesterday, mostly for my DT projects but it counts. Mojo seems to come at 9pm, frustratuing, but it comes. My son graduates tomorrow so hopefully today will lend to some craft time.
Thank you very much Linda! It does have a nice masculine feel to it! We had some nice weather but it rained yesterday and we are to have thunderstorms today. My Mojo come really late too! Better than not coming at all! Have a great time at the graduation!! Congrats to your son! 🙂
A few of us were thinking along the same lines this challenge with our woodgrain elements! That cut end of a log stamp and the birches in the background are very cool! TFS!
I love some woodgrain Amanda!! Thank you! I love those stamp sets! Enjoy your weekend! 🙂
Life got in the way yesterday and I missed this post. I love the Tree Hugs stamps, etc. What a great theme made into a really cute card. Your continuous stream of amazing creativity astound me. TFS
Thank you HJ! Yes, that happens some times! I too love that stamp set! I hope that you are enjoying your weekend! 🙂
