What a fun Saturday that was! The private crop at the store was a really good time! I love getting to chat with everyone and help them out with their crafty questions! There was a lot of good food to eat too as there always is with a crop! I left the store around 3:45 and headed home. When I got to the house I sat down on the couch and had a nice and much needed hour long nap! I never do that but it felt good! After my nap I had dinner with my Parents and then came back home and went into the Stampin’ Galley to have some crafty time! I miss creating in the little room. Around 10:00 I got a text from Heather asking if I wanted to go over to Brian’s and sit in the backyard. I got in the car and off I went. We had a nice relaxing evening outside and I got home around 1:30. Today I have a friend coming out to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store for a visit and I think that I might take a ride into Manhattan after work! I miss the city!
Today I have a fun card that uses the cityscape that I love so much in a different way! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Cornflower and Soft Lilac to the top part of a piece of Solar White 80lb. The Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Die is cut from a piece of Basic Gray and adhered to the background. Along the bottom I heat embossed the greeting from the Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Gumball Green. My flowers and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Soft Lilac, Passion Flower and Grape Juice for the flower and on the leaves I used Lime Green and Green Hills. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Foam Tape and Dot Runner Adhesive. I think that the card sort of reminds me of looking at the flowers in Central Park with the City behind them. What does I look like to you?! I hope that you enjoyed my card today! Thank you, as always, for coming by! I wish you all a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

Good Morning Justin:
I just returned from my trip. I got a nice early start in order to avoid the traffic however, I think everyone else thought the same! LOL I will try to play catch up this week but on Thursday we have out of state visitors coming for a week. Summer is always very busy here.
I want to thank you for showing me yet another way to use the City Landscape. I love, absolutely love that die but find it’s use a bit limiting. I’m sure that has much more to do with my lack of artistic imagination then the die. Today’s card is just gorgeous beyond words and I am missing Manhattan because of it. I don’t know where you get your artistic genius but I do certainly appreciate your willingness to share it with the rest of us.
Wishing you a Sunshiny Sunday my friend. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂
Hello Grace!
So glad to have you back! I don’t think that it’s possible to avoid traffic anymore! Summer definitely is always busy by you!
I love that City Landscape! One of my favorite dies! I don’t think that you have a lack of imagination at all! You just need a little inspiration from time to time! I missed Manhattan so much that I had to go there on Sunday night! I appreciate your willingness to come here and share in my daily posts! I did have the best Sunday! Hope that you are having a good week! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Beautiful card, Justin. I love all the elements to make the great scene. I would never have thought to use the diecut skyline behind the pretty flowers, but love the look. I love all the different colors you used on the flowers. Stay cool and have a great day.
Thank you HJ! I thought it would make a fun backdrop for the flowers! I like to mix up the colors, flowers are so many different colors! Hope that you enjoyed your weekend! 🙂
Beautiful use of the City Landscape. I swear it looks like Grant Pak in the summer!
Thanks Linda! The card definitely reminds me of a park in the city, the softness of the flowers against the hard buildings! 🙂
