It was another lovely Friday! Sunny but crisp! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was productive! I got some more of my projects completed and we had some visitors too! The Novak sisters stopped in and Taylor came by to hang out and we had some Wendy’s for lunch. Angie got to the store around 4:00 to get ready for her Art Journaling Class. I noticed that my tire in the front on my car was going flat yet again so I went next door to Firestone and they put air in it for me. A little dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then I came home and worked on a little more Store stuff and watched some TV. Today is day one of the two day crop, I’ll get to see my ladies! Yay! π
Part of my productivity was getting a short blog post done for the Store blog! It features an amazing card by an extremely talented customer and friend! If you would like to take a look at it you can click HERE!
I had no particular post to make a card for so I just played while I was at the Store and this is what I came up with! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Kraft. I used one of the dies from the September My Monthly Hero Kit (one of my favorites so far this year!) and cut out wreaths from pieces of Lemon Lime, Crisp Green and Herb Garden Card Stock. I adhered them to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My holly, little berries and bow are from the Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut Set. I stamped the holly leaves in Green Hills and Forever Green and the berries and bow in Red Royal. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies, the little white berries are cut out first and then stamped in Soft Vanilla. I adhered them to the wreath with more Multi-Matte Medium and the holly with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is also from the Christmas Trimmings Set and is cut from a piece of Chinese Red and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. No sequins today, I wanted to keep the card simple and just focus on that gorgeous wreath! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you for coming by and have a super Saturday! π

I love that card. So elegant! How about photographing cards instructions some time? Your photos always look so great and I know that you have limited space as I do. I would love some tips.
Thank you Emily! That sounds like a good idea for a blog post!! I’ll have to see what I can come up with! π
fantastic card – think i need to CASE this one as i have all those dies and stamps (that’s my favorite kit from HA).
Thank you Betty! Yes, one of my favorite kits too! π
Wow, what a gorgeous wreath Justin! And even more exciting, I have these dies! Thanks for insisting I buy them, lol!
Thank you Sandy!! LOL! I’m glad that I made you buy the dies too! π
Love it when you make a card for no reason! Gorgeous. Off to Ann Arbor for ice skating.
Oh, me too Linda!! Hop you had a great time watching the skating! π
O.K. Justin – Now when I make a wreath for a card it’s, well blah, even with bows and stuff on it. You make a wreath and it’s “Pop Your Eyes Out” gorgeous. I’m feeling very inadequate in the making wreath department! LOL So today what I learned from you is to multi cut the wreaths in different shades of the same color and then layer them. Such a simple solution. Again I bow to your talents!
I went to Tina’s site and loved the way the barnwood came out for her card. I tried to leave a comment to tell her how beautiful it was but the site wouldn’t let me without going through some other stuff that I couldn’t figure out. Anyway, when you talk to her please tell her I thought her card was gorgeous. Thank you. Love and hugs to you my friend and wishing you a Sensational Saturday. XXOO π
Oh Justin -I forgot. I wanted to ask you how you manage to use acetate on your shaker cards and not have the “filling” stick to the front of the acetate due to static? Thanks.
Honestly Grace, sometimes I just get lucky! LOL! I always run some powder tool around the inside of the foam tape to make sure they don’t stick to that, maybe that helps the acetate too?! π
You are too funny Grace!! I just layered up three of the same die cut to make it a nice full wreath! Thank you!! I’m say it all the time but I’m happy that I can still show you a thing or two! π
Oh, Tina’s card was gorgeous! I hate when there is too much comment moderation on a blog! Sorry that you didn’t get to leave a comment. I will let her know! Love and big hugs to you!! XOXO π
Another beautiful Christmas card, Justin. I love it with the beautiful wreath. Tina’s card is also beautiful. I love her red cardinal and barnwood background. Thanks for sharing it with us. Glad you saw your tire going flat before you began your ride home. I’m taking my cues from you and planning a productive day by addressing my Christmas cards or at least getting started on it. I’m glad you are getting the word out about buying products from you. You make shopping fun! Have a great Saturday, my friend.
Love all of your cards. How is little Daniel. Have not seen a picture lately. Have a great holiday season and healthy 2017.
Thank you so much Judith! Little Daniel is great, thanks for asking! I’ll have to do a little selfie the next time I see him! Hope that you have a happy healthy Holiday season and a fantastic 2017! π
