What began as a rainy morning turned into a beautiful day! The sun came out and it was in the high 70’s, very pleasant! I managed to get a bunch of cards made in the morning and did a little cleaning too! Around 1:00 Sue and Michael came to get me so that we could go out to lunch. We went to the Diner and got all caught up! I had an early Thirsty Thursday over at Heather’s with Stephanie. Jim called to let me know that there were a bunch of palettes over by his house so we got my Dad’s truck and headed over to pick them up. He and I are going to make some headboards with them! We stopped by his house for a bit before coming back and dropping the palettes off by me. This morning I’m headed into Manhattan to see my friend Ella for a bit! It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the city, should be nice! 😀
One of my cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…
A super simple sketch calls for a super simple card! I used the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies to cut out a piece of 29lb, Cobalt and Gold Vellum. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Tombo Vellum Adhesive. My lovely is cut from American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock with the one of the dies from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Set. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to the card and that’s it! I love the retro modern look and simplicity of the card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by and catching up! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂
Products used:
Card Stock: Solar White 110lb (Neenah)
Specialty: Gold Glitter Card (American Crafts) and 29lb Vellum, Gold Vellum and Cobalt Vellum (The Paper Cut)
Dies: Infinity Circles (Hero Arts) and Wonderful Words (Concord & 9th)
Adhesives: Vellum Runner (Tombo) and Multi-Purpose Spray (Elmer’s)
Tools: Big Shot
Simple card that packs a good wallop! The gold glitter paper give it the pop to grab your attention.
So glad you are getting to go into Manhattan today. I don’t know about NY but it is going to be another super day weather wise here with temps in the mid to high 70’s and lots of sunshine. Tomorrow rain but that’s O.K. because my daughter will be here and we will be continuing with the reorganization of my craft room all day. Have enough fun in Manhattan for both of us and, of course, take some photos to share please. Love and hugs to you my friend. XXOO 🙂
Thanks Grace! A little sparkle goes a long way!
I do so love my trips into the City and it is nice when it’s not brutally hot. Hope you had fun with your daughter! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Simple yet WOW! We are back to 90 hot humid, but thankfully the storms have passed, we got lucky, only some flooding.
For me…i’m beat, so glad tomorrow is Friday!
Thanks Linda! I’ll take the 90’s over floods any day! 🙂
Beautiful, but simple card. I’ll have to check out what the team did with the sketch. Love the gold glitter “lovely”. I’m a bit behind, but always glad to get caught up with your blog, my friend. Take care.
Thanks HJ! The rest of the teams cards are always good! I am way behind!! We are both catching up! 🙂
This is beautiful. I love the simplicity of the card and the shiny gold on the “lovely” die cut. Wonderful take on the sketch.
Thank you so much Nora! 🙂
