Welcome to the World Baby – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

We had another fabulous day! Definitely a taste of Summer with temps in the 90’s! I will admit I was no where near as productive as I should have been, I spent a lot of time outside! It was too nice to be indoors! It’s going to be nice again today, but only in the 80’s. Not complaining! LOL! I also enjoyed my evening, Jim came by and we got Pizza Hut for dinner and then watched Blindspot. It was the season finale, now we have to wait the whole Summer before it starts up again! This morning I’m going to take Heather to drop her car off so it can be detailed and maybe get a little breakfast! 🙂

It’s time for my second Concord & 9th Guest Designer Post! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! This week we are showing you the new Globe Greetings Stamps and Dies!

I thought it would be fun to make a different kind of baby card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the solid banner stamp from the Best Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers repeatedly onto the card base using my MISTI. Next I stamped the holder for the globe from the Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set In Hippo. A piece of Sugarplum Card stock is cut out with the Best Banners Dies, I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it over one of the stamped banners. My globe is stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb in Fresh Lavender and I cut it out with the Globe Greetings Dies. The greeting is stamped in Sugarplum and the globe is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I added a few Little Things by Lucy Lucky Dip VI and Purple Velvet Sequins for a bit of sparkle! I think the card makes a fun different welcome baby card, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer card for this Concord & 9th Blog! Be sure and read their post and see what the other Guests have done to inspire you! Thank you so much for visiting with me! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 344

Just a gorgeous day here yesterday! I charged up the MacBook and sat outside on the patio for most of the day. It was warm with a nice breeze, perfect! Today is supposed to be a bit warmer and I’m fine with that! I’ll be sitting outside again! I went over to have dinner with Heather and George last night and it was delicious! The espresso martini was pretty good too! We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely evening! Today I have some orders to get out, yay! 😀

I ventured into the Stampin’ Galley yesterday and one of the cards that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I did another single layer card! Up in the left corner I stamped some flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Wildflower Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black. I masked off the large flower and stamped the rest around it. To color them in I used my Copics and then used the C01 Marker to put a light gray outline around the cluster. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th All About You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp it to make it nice and bold. I added just a few Enamel Dots and the card is done! I love that greeting and the fun bright colors of the flowers! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 244

It was a gorgeous day yesterday and promises to be even nicer today! I managed to get some things done around the house in the morning and then I headed over to Heather’s for lunch. We sat outside and ate on her new patio set and enjoyed the beautiful day. I came home for a bit and then headed back over there to run a few errands with her. Taylor came by later on and the three of us ran to BJ’s. Lots of stuff to get done today but it will be really hard to stay indoors! 😀

Wednesday and we have a new Paper Craft Crew challenge for you…

Nice and simple so I kept my card really simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the flower from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Pool, Pool and Navy Ink, it’s cut out with my Scissors. I then stamped the leaves in Mint Julep and the spatter in Navy right onto the card base and then adhered the flower with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Pool using my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp it to make it nice and bold. It’s also cut out with my Scissors and adhered with more 3M Foam Tape. All that was left to do was to add some Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins Mix around the flower. I really like the blues and soft green for the flower and that greeting is still one of my all time favorites! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see what you do with the sketch, share your card in the gallery with us! Thanks you very much for your visit! SIP Challenge 99 – Packaging!

As far as Monday’s go that wasn’t a bad one! The weather was pleasant, sunny but cool. I got a bunch of things done in the morning. Jim stopped by for a quick visit after work and I got to see Taylor for a bit too! I’m going through the craft closet trying to get things together that I don’t use anymore. It’s amazing how much stuff I have accumulated over the past five years! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The term packaging covers a broad range of crafty projects! Boxes, gift card holders, wine tags and the list goes on! I love to use stamps to make my own wrapping paper so that’s what I did for today’s challenge and it’s super simple! I have a roll of Kraft Paper so I cut some off and used the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp, randomly, the world on it in Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Ink. When I make the wrapping paper I also usually make a tag. I stamped the world onto a piece of Kraft card stock and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. On the back I stamped the greeting World’s Best Friend in Fish Tank, punched a hole in top and threaded some Natural Twine through it. Simple and you can also then match your card, tag and wrapping paper together! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team project for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Packaging Challenge! We hope to see what you create in the gallery and if you need a little more inspiration head on over to the BLOG! Thank you for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 497

Another quiet day here yesterday. I did have a nice visit with Mum for Mother’s Day. My Brother came by with the kiddies for a bit. Daniel came over to my house all by himself, he thinks he’s such a big boy now! I also managed to get my bedroom closet cleaned out and a few dresser drawers too! Not bad for a Sunday! Today, lots more organizing and purging!

And since it’s Monday we have a new Mojo Monday Sketch for you…

Remember the card from Saturday? When I use the Concord & 9th Dotty Turnabout Stamp I always do it on a 6×6 piece of Solar White 80lb. The panel on today’s card is another piece from the one I made for Saturday’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and masked off the a diagonal strip with some Post-it Tape. To add the color I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Altenew Peach Perfect Crisp Ink. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is the aforementioned panel from Saturday’s card. For my greeting I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out some Gold Mirror Card. I also cut out the negative from a piece of 48lb Vellum. To make it easier to hide the adhesive on the Vellum I stamped three more circles in Cotton Candy and cut them out with my Scissors. They are adhered to the Vellum and to the card with 3M Foam Tape. all that was left to do was to adhere the YOU with more 3M Foam Tape. I love that the YOU is cut out from the Vellum and there is that little border that lets you see the background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off here with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 287

Today will be a good day to do some things indoors, it’s supposed to rain all day. I have plenty to keep me busy, some cleaning and some crafting should fill up my day nicely. Yesterday morning I went and picked up Heather after she dropped off her car to be inspected and we grabbed some breakfast and went back to her house. While she worked I got some caught up on some stuff too. I took her back to get her car and then came home and did some stuff around the house. After dinner we took a ride to BJ’s and Party City so that she could pick up some necessities. The rest of my evening was spent watching a little TV and finally catching up on blog comments! What’s on for you today?

I have another card to share with you using some more new Concord & 9th goodies. It’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

It’s a super simple card! I used the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp and my MISTI to stamp a fun background. For the first three turns I used Altenew Cotton Candy, Mango Smoothie and Peach Perfect Crisp Ink. I used my Heat Tool to make sure that the ink was dry, treated it with my Powder Tool and then used Versa-Mark and Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder for the fourth turn. A piece of it is trimmed and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The celebrate is from the Concord & 9th All About You Dies and is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to the card. That’s it! Like I said, simple but I love the awesome patterned paper that you can create with the Dotty Turnabout Stamp! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for coming by! Have a simple Saturday! 🙂

Oh, Hello Squared – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Hello again! In this post I get to tell you that I have the privilege of being one of the Guest Designer’s for Concord & 9th for the May Release! You all know that I love their innovative and fun products! It also doesn’t hurt that Angie, Greg and Amy are some of the nicest people that I have had the pleasure of doing business with! So, for next four Fridays I will be sharing products from the new release with you! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! This week we are showing you the new Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp!

To start my project I followed the instructions in THIS VIDEO to get my stamp ready. I then put it in to my MISTI along with a piece of Solar White 80lb. To ink it I used Lawn Fawn Merman, Fresh Lavender and Narwhal Ink for the first three turns. I made sure that it was ready for some heat embossing by using my Heat Tool to completely dry it. I placed the paper back into the MISTI and added my Versa-Mark. Next I sprinkled on Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set it. For the first card I trimmed a piece of the stamped background to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. I wrapped a piece of 48lb Vellum around the sides and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The hello is cut three times from more Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Say Hello Dies. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then heat embossed it with more White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder. The OH is from the Concord & 9th Say Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set and that is heat embossed onto a piece of Basic Gray. I used a little more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the hello and 3M Foam Tape to adhere the OH.

I had a strip of the background left over so I thought why not make a second card! For this one I stamped the hi there, also from the Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp, in Merman and Fresh Lavender onto another card base of Solar White 110lb down the right side. The leftover piece of the background is adhered to a piece of Coastal Cabana and then adhered down the left side of the card! Super simple and a nice quick fun card!

I LOVE that Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp! See what I mean by innovative fun products?! How cool is it that you can make your own background paper in any color that you want?! OSAT May Blog Hop – Clean & Simple!

Happy Thursday to you all! I had another relatively productive day yesterday. I went to the Store in the morning and visited with Renee for a bit. After that I went to my Parent’s to see little Daniel and Tristan. They were over so that Erika could study for her Chemistry final. After that back to my house to work on some projects, some dinner with my Mum and Dad and then Taylor came by and we watched a few episodes of Blindspot, I’m happy to report that I’m all caught up! I have a bunch of projects to get finished and who know what else?!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the clever Lori Mueller’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Clean & Simple theme! I love a nice clean, simple card especially lately! And when you can use just one set and some ink even better!

All of the four cards use a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp all of my images and greetings in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Fresh Lavender, Peachy Keen, Minty Fresh, Sunflower, Juice Box, Carrot, Sugarplum, Jalapeño and Black Licorice. The greetings are stamped using my Mini MISTI and the rest of the images with blocks. That’s it! Some nice quick, clean, crisp and simple cards! I do love a stamp set from Concord & 9th, they are one of my favorite companies, they have fun and innovative products that make projects great!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Florals!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of May! This time we ask you to create a a card with some florals on it!

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out the YOU from the card front. That lovely gold die cut at the top is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Concord & 9th Detailed Blossoms Die. The two flowers are from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Hero Arts Light to Dark Peach Ombre Ink. I cut the out with the Coordinating Dies. Next it used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some more of the Ombre Ink to a piece of Solar White 110lb and cut out the YOU and for from that. The YOU is then cut out from some more Gold Mirror Card. I closed the card and used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere all of the die cuts. I then stamped the Happy Birthday on the inside and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the front to finish the card. I LOVE That Detailed Blossoms Die, so intricate and delicate looking! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Single Layer Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Design Team has done to inspire you and we would love for you to share your card with us in the gallery! You have the whole month to play along! Thanks for stopping by again today! I hope that you enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Hello Lovely Butterfly – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on May 9th! Today I’m sharing another single layer card!

For my card base I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my mask I stamped the butterfly from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal in and then stamped it again onto a Post-it Note. The one on the Post-it is cut out with my Scissors and placed over the one stamped onto the card. Next I stamped the floral cluster from the Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set Again in Narwhal along with the greeting. To color the images in I used Prismacolor Pencils. I went a little darker on the butterfly to make it stand out a bit more. It needed just a little something so I added some random dots with a Gold Sign Gel Pen. These really are two of my favorite sets from Concord & 9th and I love the way the butterfly turned out!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and that you will give masking a try! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on May 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂
