Global Love

Hi there and happy Saturday! For a short week it sure took its time! My week was pretty uneventful which is not a bad thing. We are supposed to have some rain here today and tomorrow, not my favorite for the weekend but we really haven’t had a lot the whole summer and you know that someone out there is saying that we need it. I have recently subscribed to BritBox and become addicted to Emmerdale. It’s a British Soap Opera that has been on for 54 years! And it’s a true soap, lots of crazy things going on and some characters for you to love and some to despise. There was a nice cliff hanger yesterday so you are sure to think about it all weekend! If you like a soap check it out, I would start somewhere in June and catch up.

My obsession with England has been prominent in my mind lately too. That prompted me to create today’s card. I have had the stamp set for a while and the other day I noticed that the heart with the plane image easily encircled New York and London! I used some Blue and Green Recollections 100lb Paper and the Simon Says Stamp Earth Die to create my globe. It’s adhere to a piece of computer printer paper with Tape Runner and then trimmed out. The background of the card is a piece of Recollections Black 100lb Card Stock that I embossed with the Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Splash Twinkling Stars Embossing Folder. I used some Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Ink to stamp the heart with plane onto Vellum and the greeting onto Black 100lb Card Stock from the Simon Says Stamp Around the World Stamp Set. They are both heat embossed in Brutus Monroe Gilded Embossing Powder and cut out with the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Around the World Dies. I added the embossed panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock with Tape Runner, The globe is added with 3M Foam Tape along with the greeting. A little dab of glue behind the plane adds the image. For a bit of sparkle I added some Simon Says Stamp Starshine Embellishment Mix Sequins.
