Paper Craft Crew 227

A lovely, dreary, rainy day is what we had here yesterday. At least it wasn’t cold! Another fun day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store despite the weather. I got my card made for today and ran to the Post Office to mail out a few orders. Speaking of orders, thank you so much for them! Let’s see… Wednesday, oh, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

I wanted to keep my card clean and use only one stamp set so I pulled out one of my favorites! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half I added a piece of American Crafts Peacock Glitter Tape. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Tide Pool and Mint Julep and the leaves in Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Dot Runner and 3D Foam Squares. For the greeting I heat embossed the hello in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tropical Sea, flagged the right side and used some more 3D Foam Squares to adhered it to the card. It needed a little bling and I wanted something different so I added a few gems from the Hero Arts Pool Mixed Accents and that did the trick! Mojo Monday 480

Well, I enjoyed my Sunday and hope that you did too! The second day of the Anniversary Crop at the Store was fun! We had an Italian and American Hero, Macaroni and Potato Salad for lunch and of course dessert! Someone made a baked Brie with pears and it was delicious! After work I came home and had a little dinner with my Parent’s. The rest of the evening was spent watching TV. I’m still not feeling my old self yet and have little motivation to do much. Hopefully that will change as the week wears on! 😀

It’s Monday and I get to share my Design Team card with you for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

I was lucky enough to get my January My Monthly Hero Kit in the mail on Saturday so I took it to the store to play with yesterday! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Chinese Red. Across the card is a strip of Crisp Green. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Infinity Dies to cut out a piece of Carta Bella Beach Day Surf Shop 12×12 and a another piece of Crisp Green. I ran the patterned paper through my Big Shot twice to get it to be a square and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My images and greeting are from the January My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the bouquet and additional flowers in Hero Arts Bubble Gum and Memento Tuxedo Black which I also used for the wrap. The wrap is colored in with Copics and then adhered with the bouquet and additional flowers to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I heat embossed the Love onto a piece of Chinese Red in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, flagged the right side and tucked it under the flowers. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry, Watermelon and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is finished. I love the flowers in the shape of a heart and the fun postage stamp dies! Paper Players 326

It was like a Spring day here on Long Island yesterday! The temps got well up into the high 50’s! Such a nice reprieve from the snow! It won’t last for long, it’s to get cold again today but I enjoyed every minute of it! Renee and I got ready for the upcoming weekend crop at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Scrap-A-Latte. I also worked on my card for today and left the store a little early to come home and take a nap. I went over to the Heather’s for the last Thirsty Thursday at her old apartment. Brian and Kim stopped by and then Heather and I went to see Stephanie at her house for a bit. Today I’m off from the store but after I get a haircut in the morning I’ll head over there for a bit, my friend Patrice is stopping by! 😀

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I did use something somewhat recycled on my card. I had a few stamped flowers and leaves from a card that I had made a while ago using the Reverse Confetti Blooms ‘N Buds Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Hero Arts Lime Green, Emerald Green and Butter Bar and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. They have been sitting on my desk for a long time and needed to be used! I adhered them to a tag with 3D Foam Squares that I cut out of Kraft and Crisp Green using the Reverse Confetti Topped Off Tags Confetti Cuts. I adhered the green piece to the tag and then threaded some May Arts Natural Twine through the top before adhering it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My butterfly/greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Butter Bar using the Reverse Confetti Butterfly Dreams Photopolymer Stamp Set and is cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used some more 3D Foam Squares to adhered it to the card and tucked the twine behind it. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Mossy Green, Lemon Drop and Iridescent Sunshine Glow Sequins and some Clear Droplets and the card is done! I do love those flowers and that butterfly, the greeting is really neat too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Paper Craft Crew 226

Hello my friends! Still not feeling great but this too shall pass. It is making it hard to get my projects finished but they will still be there waiting. I had another quick day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I got my card made and a few other things done but I left around 3:30 and came straight home and took a nap. I’m good for a few hours and then I get really tired. The rest of my evening after dinner was pretty boring. I can’t wait for this cold to be done! 😀

We are at the mid-way point in the week so it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I needed a nice Spring like card to brighten my mood so I took the Hero Arts Color Layering Large Orchid Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped the orchids in Soft Vanilla, Passion Flower, Grape Juice and Butter Bar using my Mini MISTI. The buds are stamped in Passion Flower and Grape Juice and the stem in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out and then adhered them to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 3 3/4″ wide, letting them hang off the left side. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Grape Juice. I added a bunch of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst, Orchid, and Mossy Green Sequins. Love the Orchids in the purple with the vanilla base! SIP Challenge 81 – Black, White and a Pop of Color!

It’s funny how someone as cute as that little boy Daniel can wreak so much havoc! He successfully got my Mum, Taylor and I all sick! I haven’t been sick in over 4 years! When I went to Walgreen’s to get a decongestant I had no idea what to buy! The one that I did get did nothing! I have gone through an entire box of tissues today! Enough complaining! LOL! I did manage to go to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and get some of my things done. My friend Janine stopped by, always nice to see her. I did leave around 4:00 and when I came home all I wanted to do was take a nap. Taylor had already claimed the couch so I went into the bedroom. I should have turned off my phone because it didn’t stop! LOL! Finally I got a call from Heather asking me if I wanted to run to IKEA and stop and get some dinner so I figured might as well! We did have a nice time and I managed to get home by 9:30, typed my posts for today and crawled into bed. Hopefully I will be feeling a little better as today goes on! I hate being sick! 🙁

On a happy note it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I dug around in my stash and found another Holiday set that I thought I could turn into a non-Holiday card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Hexagon Dies to cut out some Black and Chinese Red, making one of them a frame. To the back of that frame I adhered a piece of Acetate and then a layer of 3M Foam Tape to create a well for some Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins. I adhered a large red hexagon to the back and then adhered all of the hexagons to the card. My bear and cup are from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the right side of the shaker with 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Pretty Pink Posh Fox Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I was going to add some more sequins but I thought that it would take away from the nice simple design. Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Try Something New!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post of the day! This time it’s for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge! We have something fun to share with you for our new challenge! We are sharing the new release from Concord & 9th!

Each of the Design Team received some new goodies that are being released today! I had the pleasure of playing with the Best Banners Stamp and Dies! I made a really simple card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My heart is from the Concord & 9th Heart Smile Photopolymer Stamp Set and I stamped it in Hero Arts Passion Flower Ink three times using my Mini MISTI. Then I stamped the perfect from the Concord & 9th Best Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black. The die cut perfect banner is cut from a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Best Banner Dies. I adhered it to the card slightly offset from the stamped perfect using Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The rest of the greeting is also from the Best Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set and again is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the new Best Banners Stamps and Dies, especially with the stamped word behind the die cut one! Stellar Sparkly City

The sun finally shone yesterday, nice and bright but it was wicked windy again. They are saying that we might get snow on Friday and Saturday. Big bummer! Renee and I had another lovely day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. The construction is winding down and the leaks have finally stopped! I worked on some of my projects and so did Renee. After work I had dinner with my Parents and talked to my friend Sue for a bit. Then I straightened up the house, got to keep on top of that! LOL! A quick run to get gas and to Target and then a little TV before bed. I have heard from a few people that I need to watch This is Us. Do any of you watch it and if so what do you think? 😀

I actually made today’s card and then looked at this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge and decided that it would work for the sketch…

My card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Kraft. From a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card Stock and Gold Mirror Card I cut out the skyline and bridge using the Hero Arts Skyline Fancy Dies. I cut the skyline apart so that it would cover the entire length of the card and adhered it with E-Z Runner, the bridge is adhered with 3m Foam Tape. My tag is a pice of Ionized Curious Metallic that I cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Tags Dies, the reinforcement is cut from Gold Glitter Card Stock. I adhered the reinforcement to the tag and then tied a piece of May Arts Natural Twine though the top. My greeting and all of the images are from the Hero Arts Hipster at Heart Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Versa-Mark and Onyx Black onto 48lb Vellum. The Onyx Black ones are heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder and the bicycle and camera are heat embossed in Gold and Silver. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out everything except the cassette tape, that’s cut out with my Scissors, and used a combination of E-Z Runner and Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered them to the tag. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto another piece of 48lb Vellum and adhered around the back of the tag. I added some 3M Foam Tape to the tag to adhere it to the card. You know how much I love a city scene card and this one may just be my favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Paper Craft Crew 225

More rain all day yesterday, again it could be snow so I won’t complain! It’s just one of those days where you just want to stay inside and watch movies curled up on the couch! But, I was at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with Renee and we did manage to have somewhat of a productive day. Two people came by to crop and I got some administrative stuff done and made my card for today. After work I came home and played with Daniel who has a really bad cold, poor little guy with his runny nose. We sat on the couch and I read a book to him, had dinner and then I came home for a bit before going over to see George and Heather. We watched a little TV and picked on Heather, always a good time! Today I have a more projects to work on, hopefully the rain will have stopped! 🙂

It’s Wednesday and we are back after a little hiatus with the first Paper Craft Crew sketch of the year…

My cards have been really bright, I guess I’m wishing for Spring to get here quick and today’s card is no exception! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Lemon Sorbet. I used the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Dies to cut out the negative from a piece of Solar White 80lb and a piece of Photoplay Summer Dreams 12×12 Paper. Another piece of Solar White 80lb, the same size, is placed in the MISTI and I lined up the large popsicle stamp from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Tide Pool for the solid image and the lines. I adhered the Patterned Paper to the White, adding a piece of Washi Tape down the right side and a piece of Acetate to the back before adding some foam tape to create my well for my Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins. The stamped piece is adhered to the well and then to the card with E-Z Runner. Two more popsicles are stamped in Grape Juice and Lime Green and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I also cut out the popsicle stick from Solar White 80lb and colored in all of the sticks with Copics. My greeting is also from the Sweet & Cool Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. SIP Challenge 80 – Card Makers Choice!

Well, yesterday was definitely a Monday! When I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store I found out that we had no electricity! One thing after another! Renee and Angie were there so I decided that I would come home and work on some projects that I needed to get finished. It was a rainy day anyway and what better place to be than in the Stampin’ Galley! I did that until dinner time and then after that I came home and watched a little TV before running to Target to get a few essentials. Hopefully the power will be back on at the Store today! Who knows what’s next! 😀

I’m happy to announce that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

I have been on a quest lately to come up with relatively simple cards that don’t look simple! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Basic Gray. The background is a piece of paper from the Authentique Believe 12×12 Collection. My greeting is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock and a piece of Black 110lb. The black is adhered to a piece of 48lb Vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then the Silver Glitter is adhered on top and slightly offset. Next I added a few Silver, Watermelon and Mossy Green Pretty Pink Posh Sequins. After they dried I applied a little Multi-Matte Medium behind the greeting and sequins to adhered the Vellum to the card. I think that card definitely doesn’t look simple but it really wasn’t too complicated to put together and is easily duplicated if you wanted to make a set as a gift for someone! Day one of 2017 done! The crop at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Scrap-A-Latte was fun! It really always amazes me how much stuff the ladies bring with them. At least two or more trips to the car to bring all of their stuff in! I do like watching all of the creativity while they work. I got my card for today done early too. Must have been all of that creativity! When I got home I had some dinner with my Parent’s, Mum made beer battered fish and chips! After dinner I watched Star Trek – Beyond and then P.S. I Love You, how’s that for both ends of the spectrum?! You have to balance all of the explosions with a little mushiness! Today, lots of projects to work on! Loves me a little craftiness! 😀

It’s the first Monday of the New Year and time for the first Mojo Monday sketch of 2107…

I was in the mood for stamping and I wanted to change it up a bit so I layered! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Kraft and Solar White 80lb and placed them in my MISTI and stamped them with the greenery from the Concord & 9th Flourish Photopolymer Stamp Set a few times with Altenew Forest Glades Crisp Ink. I added a piece of printer paper and then lined up my circle that I cut out using the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and stamped again. Next I stamped the flowers from the set in Deep Iris, Midnight Violet, Lavender Fields, Cotton Candy, Mango Smoothie and Peach Perfect Crisp Ink. The white panel is adhered to the Kraft wth E-Z Runner, I hid the adhesive for the Vellum behind the circle and the strip of Gold Glitter Card Stock that goes across the lower half of the card. My circle is then adhered with Fun Foam and more E-Z Runner. For the greeting I used the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card and two pieces of Black. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. A little cascade of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins completes the card! I do love the Flourish set and Altenew Crisp Inks, I’m also pretty happy with the way the layered look turned out!
