Paper Craft Crew 225 – jkcards

Paper Craft Crew 225

More rain all day yesterday, again it could be snow so I won’t complain! It’s just one of those days where you just want to stay inside and watch movies curled up on the couch! But, I was at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with Renee and we did manage to have somewhat of a productive day. Two people came by to crop and I got some administrative stuff done and made my card for today. After work I came home and played with Daniel who has a really bad cold, poor little guy with his runny nose. We sat on the couch and I read a book to him, had dinner and then I came home for a bit before going over to see George and Heather. We watched a little TV and picked on Heather, always a good time! Today I have a more projects to work on, hopefully the rain will have stopped! 🙂

I’m having a big sale over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store for the rest of the week! Today all Concord & 9th is 25% off! Use discount code CHANEW20172!

It’s Wednesday and we are back after a little hiatus with the first Paper Craft Crew sketch of the year…

My cards have been really bright, I guess I’m wishing for Spring to get here quick and today’s card is no exception! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Lemon Sorbet. I used the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Dies to cut out the negative from a piece of Solar White 80lb and a piece of Photoplay Summer Dreams 12×12 Paper. Another piece of Solar White 80lb, the same size, is placed in the MISTI and I lined up the large popsicle stamp from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Tide Pool for the solid image and the lines. I adhered the Patterned Paper to the White, adding a piece of Washi Tape down the right side and a piece of Acetate to the back before adding some foam tape to create my well for my Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins. The stamped piece is adhered to the well and then to the card with E-Z Runner. Two more popsicles are stamped in Grape Juice and Lime Green and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I also cut out the popsicle stick from Solar White 80lb and colored in all of the sticks with Copics. My greeting is also from the Sweet & Cool Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. Like I said, I’m really loving the bright colors and hoping that it makes Spring come quicker! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! 1. Wow – I feel like I flash forwarded 6 months into 2017! Your card really makes me think of summer with the colors you chose and the popsicle images. Spring is just a little too early for me to think about popsicles, still too cold for me. LOL Love the shaker popsicle too with the clear sequins.

At least it isn’t raining today and will be a bit warmer before the mercury plunges tonight so I hope you get a chance to enjoy the “warm” temps. 🙂

    1. Thanks Christy! Yes, I’m trying to rush through Winter! Think of how nice and warm it is the you usually eat popsicles!
Yes, thankfully the rain has stopped and the sun peeked out for a little while this morning! We are to get really cold later, oh well, Summer will be here soon enough! 🙂

  2. Forget spring…I think you are channeling summer with this one! Love it! Thankfully the rain has stopped! I know we can’t complain because we need the rain and it is so much better than snow (which has been my Facebook memories the last two days) but enough! This girl needs a little sunshine!

    1. LOL! Maybe just a little Linda! I really want it to be warm again! Yes, glad that rain is done for now, but it could be snow so I’d rather the rain! I hope that my possible brought a little sunshine into your day! 🙂

  3. Well Justin – I have to admit that today’s card really woke me up. Yes, I know it’s after 11 a.m. but I have the flu so I’m doing well to be out of bed at all. I asked the hubs if he ran over me last night with his truck but he’s pleading not guilty.

I love yellow and especially bright yellow. It’s the happiest color there is and I can’t help but smile when I see it. Then you go and make a shaker card with it. Just too exciting! See, now you got me all happied up for the day. Thank you my friend. Love and hugs and wishes for a Wicked Good Wednesday. XXOO 🙂

    1. LOL! Nice and bright huh Grace?! I’m sorry that you are not feeling well. I hope that you get better soon!
Yellow is definitely happy and warm, I can’t wait for warm! Thanks you, I’m happy that I brightened up your day a bit! Love and hugs to you! Fell better! XOXO 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Linda! Need Summer as quickly as possible!
      I think it’s a combination of both. I need a little vacation myself! 🙂
