  • Artichoke Sand Vermillion

Good morning to you all. Ahh… the weekend, how I love it! I will be crafting for most of the day today. I’m going to sneak out at some point because it’s nice here on Long Island today. Is everyone ready for Mother’s Day? Today’s card is a simple thank you card. I started with a piece of Sahara Sand Card Stock cut to 3″ x 6″ and scored it at 3″ and folded it in half. The stamped image is one of my favorites, Young Vermillion Wood Mount A la Carte, and he is stamped in Always Artichoke. He is on the Retired List and I will miss him. I ran a piece of Always Artichoke Card Stock through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Always Artichoke. I mounted both stamped pieces to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card makes a great thank you to put with a gift or Stampin’ Up! order, as this one was used for. I hope you enjoyed the little bird today and thanks for stopping by. Have an amazing day! 🙂

  • Mojo 240 and Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy FRIDAY!! I loves me some Friday! The weekend will be here in a few short hours and I am going to make it a crafty one! I have lots of cards to make and I can’t wait to get started. Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is by Julee Tilman…

For my card I started with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and I added a piece of Daffodil Delight that I ran through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The piece of Designer Series Paper is actually a sneak peek and is from the new Floral District DSP. The piece I used coordinates with Daffodil Delight. I used my Circle Scissor Pro (Retired List) to cut out the stamped image, also a sneak peek from the Betsy’s Blossoms Stamp Set, and it’s stamped in Primrose Petals, one of the new 2012-2014 In-Colors. I cut out a piece of Gumball Green Card Stock, another of the 2012-2014 In-Colors, to back it and adhered it to the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flagged piece is Primrose Petals (2012-2014 In-Colors) and the greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set. The flower is also from Betsy’s Blossoms and is stamped in Primrose Petals (2012-2014 In-Colors). I used my Paper Snips to cut it out and mounted it on a circle that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. A piece of Gumball Green Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a Brights Collection Designer Button finish off the card. I hope that you are enjoying the sneak peeks and if you want a new catalog click the contact me link at the top and I’ll send you one. Have a great day and thank you for visiting!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Wednesday is definitely one of the better days of the week. Once we are past it we only have two days left until the weekend! I’m a little behind on my challenge cards this week, I got wrapped up in making some cards for my friend Kim on Sunday night and I got thrown off but I’ll be back on track in no time! Today’s post is for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This weeks challenge is a color challenge…

I started with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and I added a piece of Crumb Cake that I ran through my Big Shot using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped the large floral image from the set in Calypso Coral and punched it out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. I stamped it again in So Saffron and punched that out with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. The bird image is stamped in Baja Breeze and cut out with Paper Snips. They are all mounted on top of each other with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then stamped the flower image in Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral and So Saffron twice each and cut them out with my Paper Snips too. They are also mounted to the card on Stampin’ Dimensionals. • Navy River Suede Triple Worn Thanks

Good morning peeps and happy Thursday! One more day and we’ll be at Friday! When I went to Washington, DC a few weeks ago I mentioned that friends of mine let me use their gorgeous apartment in Georgetown. You really couldn’t ask to meet two nicer people than they are. I was so glad that they liked the thank you card that I sent then. It was actually one of the few times that I had a picture for inspiration. I was asked to see if the curtains in this photo would work in the apartment…

As it so happens they will look great! I took some of the colors from the picture and used them in the thank you card. I started with a base of Soft Suede. The top part of the background is River Rock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The bottom half is a piece of Well Worn Designer Series Paper (Retired List) that coincidentally has all of the colors in that I needed! I covered the seam with a piece of Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (Retired List). The images are from the Triple Treat Flower A la Carte Wood Mount Stamp (Retired List) and they are stamped in Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. I used the Fancy Flower Punch to punch them out and they are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede and mounted on a piece of Soft Suede Card Stock. I love the card and will miss the retiring products but can’t wait to see what is in store for us in the new catalog! Have a great day and thank for stopping by!

  • Paper Players #93

Good Monday morning everyone! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, I did. I got to see some friends in Manhattan and spent some time with my favorite daughter, wait she’s my only daughter, but she is still my favorite! 🙂 Today’s card is for this weeks Paper Players Challenge. This weeks hostess is Leslie and she has given us a tic-tac-toe challenge. Pick three in a row to make your card…

I chose to go diagonal with Flowers, Pick Your Own (watercoloring) and Designer Paper (I made my own). The base of the card is Soft Suede. For my designer paper I took a piece of Very Vanilla and inked up the Parlor Prints Background Stamp in Rich Razzleberry. I used the Labels Collection Framelits Dies to cut out a piece of Lucky Limeade and then embossed it using the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The images and the greeting are from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set. The cup is stamped in Rich Razzleberry and the pansy is stamped in Lucky Limeade. I CASE’d the image from Stampin’ Success. I used an Aqua Painter with Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade Ink to paint in the flowers and leaves. I stamped the image a second time, watercolored it, cut it out with my Paper Snips and mounted it on a piece of Stampin’ Dimensional. I used the Labels Collection Framelits Dies to cut out the image and mounted it to the Lucky Limeade label with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is stamped in Soft Suede and cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies too and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I added a Basic Jewels Pearl to the center of the flower just for Ann! I hope that you enjoy the card and thank you so much for stopping by. Enjoy your day!

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s supposed to be sunny and a little chilly today. I’ll be in Manhattan this morning and then off to look after my friends dogs later on. • Wisteria Pear Florets Sympathy

Good morning and happy Friday to everyone! I love Friday’s and am looking forward to this weekend. I’ll be in Manhattan tomorrow morning and I’m dog sitting for a friend too. Today’s card is a good example of how changing the color and slightly changing the layout gives you a whole new card. I posted a similar card on Sunday and I really liked the card (I should right?!). I needed a sympathy card and I thought that the card I made would make a good sympathy card, it just needed a few tweaks. I started with a base of Wisteria Wonder. The images are from the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set. I stamped the leaves and stem in Pear Pizzaz on Whisper White Card Stock. The flower is stamped in Basic Black Ink and I used my Wisteria Wonder Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the petals and the cut it out with my Paper Snips. I mounted it to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional along with the the leaves. For the background I ran a piece of Pear Pizzaz Card Stock through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (Occasions Mini) is in the middle and then another piece of Pear Pizzaz punched along one edge with the Scallop Trim Border Punch makes up the right side. The greeting is stamped in Pear Pizzaz and is from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set (Occasions Mini), it’s backed with some more Pear Pizzaz and adhered to the card with SNAIL. I like the layout and the various background pieces and I’ll see what else I can come up with  using something similar. Thank you so much for stopping by and have an awesome Friday! 🙂

Good Sunday morning to everyone. I will be driving back from Washington, DC today with my friend Kim. I’m very anxious to get back to my craft desk, two days away is too long for me! Today’s card uses some more of the retiring 2010-2012 In-Colors. I started with a base of Blushing Bride. The stamped images are from the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set. The leaves and stem are stamped in Pear Pizzaz and the flower is stamped in Basic Black Classic Ink and colored in with a Blender Pen. I used my Paper Snips to cut it out and mounted it on a Stampin’ Dimensional on top of the leaves and stem. I used some more Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the front of the card. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. I used the Word Window Punch to punch it out and then mounted it to a piece of Pear Pizzaz that is punched out with the Large Oval Punch.
