OSAT February Blog Hop – All You Need is Love!

It was sooooooo nice out yesterday! We made it up to 62 degrees! I had to go out to the bank and I had the pleasure of having the top down in the car! In February! What?!?! Well, never fear, today we are to get up to 12 inches of snow! Insane weather! I would of course prefer to do a repeat of yesterday! I made sure thatI was nice and productive at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, we are closed today. They have told everyone to make sure that if they don’t need to travel to stay home. I think that I will get some more organizing done today, it’s a good day to do it! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Jeanna Bohanon, welcome! This month we have a All You Need is Love theme! Ahh… who doesn’t like a little love?! I have a card and coordinating gift box for you today!

I used the same stamp set on both the card and the gift box. To create them I heat embossed the flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder onto three pieces of Solar White 80lb, one so that I could cut out the large flowers. For the card I also stamped the greeting from the set in Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink. On the cut out flowers I added a little Prismacolor Colored Pencils to the petals. For the gift box I used the Lawn Fawn Pillow Box Lawn Cut to cut out the paper and adhered it together with Scor-Tape. I adhered the background for the card to a piece of Shale Card Stock and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The cut out flowers are adhered to the card and to the gift box with 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are done! I love that Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder and the flowers and leaves from the Hello Lovely Set look great left as is, colored in or stamped with the addition layers!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and gift box  for the OSAT All You Need is Love Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to see what the talented Dena Rekow has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

  • SIP Challenge 85 – Love!

    SIP Challenge 85 – Love!

What a nice Monday that turned out to be! The weather was pleasant, it won’t be later in the week, and the Store was busy! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class and there were some new ladies in it! A very funny and group indeed! I got some projects completed and still have a ton more to do! After work I had dinner with my Parents and then came home and continued the purge! Feels so good to get rid of things and have less clutter! Can’t wait to do some more tonight! Renee is off from the Store today and my friend Sue will be coming by to spend some time with me! 😀

Tuesday and we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

Ahh… love! And just in time for Valentine’s Day! I have been a little obsessed with stamped backgrounds lately and today I have another one! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. To create my background I used the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped in Jet Back, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf Crisp Inks. I trimmed the panel to 5 1/4 by 4. My greeting is from the Altenew Super Script 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder along with the hearts from the set onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the bottom at an angle and folded the top over the stamped background, the whole thing is adhered with E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I really love that Painted Flowers Set, it’s one of the more forgiving layering sets and I think it creates a very nice background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Love Challenge! Take a minute to go over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s creations and enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thank you so much for stopping by today! • Mojo Monday 483

    Mojo Monday 483

Well, my Sunday didn’t start off as planned, I woke up at 6:00am with a massive headache, I text Renee to tell her I would be late, took Excedrin and went back to bed. Thankfully when I finally woke up around noon it had gone. I had to make the dip for the Super Bowl Party so I went over to Heather’s and did that. We picked up Stephanie and drove out to Islip for the party. We had a great time and the people that hosted it were really nice! I got to spend some time with my peeps and I enjoyed the Half-Time Show! Today I have lots to catch up on at the Store. One day not being there isn’t a good thing! 😀

The one thing that I really like about Monday’s is the fact that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I had the flower for today’s card sitting on my desk so I decided that it needed to get used! For the card base I used a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front with a piece of Slate. To create my background I stamped the flower outline from the Altenew Beautiful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set in Evening Gray Crisp Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. Next I heat embossed the leaf outline in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another piece of Slate. Across the lower half of the card is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card. The flower and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is also from the Beautiful Day Set and is heat embossed in more White onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used a strip of Rose Chintz with a thin strip of the Silver Glitter Card and some more 3D Foam Squares to hold down the vellum. I love the way the grays really let the flower stand out on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

  • Paper Players 329

    Paper Players 329

The sun really made an effort to stay out yesterday! All in all it was a nice day especially at the Store. Renee and I worked on projects, I got another two cards made including one for next week’s Make-n-Take! I stopped by my Parent’s after work to retrieve Winston and then came home and waited for my friend Danielle to come by. We talked for hours and got all caught up and then headed out to have Five Guys for dinner. After that a quick stop at Starbucks and then more talk! It was so great to get all caught up! I miss her so much! We are going to make an effort to make sure that we get together more often. Today, more projects and orders! 😀

One of my crafty sessions yesterday produced my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! But before we get to this week’s I want to thank Sandy for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

As soon as I saw the sketch the card took shape in my little brain! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Prints Background in Hero Arts White Dye Ink onto a piece of Kraft. Across the bottom is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card Stock. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. That along with the flowers and leaves are from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and the leaves in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, both onto 48lb Vellum. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out and adhered the flowers to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape and the leaves with Dot Runner Adhesive. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I love the flowers embossed on the Vellum and the subtle background! I think this would make a perfect card for a Wedding! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for your visit today! Have an incredible Thursday! 🙂

    SIP Challenge 84 – Tic-Tac-Toe from LeAnne!

Now that was a busy Monday! I got my Lawn Fawn Pre-Order all tallied up and sent off. Renee and I worked on ideas for upcoming fun at the Stores. I got lots accomplished too thanks to Renee, she has the ability to reel me in! LOL! After work I had dinner with my Parent’s and Taylor and did a little laundry. Today, more planning! Oh, and some snow later, grrr! 😀

Today is Tuesday so that means it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I got some new goodies from Sunny Studios and I used one of my personal faves on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Moonstone Blue and across the lower half is a piece of Photoplay This Guy 12×12 Paper. I also cut a piece of the This Guy Paper out with the Lawn Fawn Large and Small Stitched Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts to create a frame. My “rug” is a piece of Authentique 12×12 Paper that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The images and greeting are from the Sunny Studios That Sucks Photopolymer Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. I stamped the vacuum in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. Inside the frame I adhered a piece of Chinese Red and heat embossed the sentiment in hero Arts White Embossing Powder with the end of the sentiment also heat embossed, in the lower right of the card. The “suck” is die cut from Black and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. I added some Hemptique Black & White Baker’s Twine for my cord and adhered the vacuum with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins and three Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars complete the card! I really do love the little sad vacuum and the sentiment is great! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge from LeAnne! • Sweet Mint Chocolate Chip Birthday

    Sweet Mint Chocolate Chip Birthday

Crop days are always fun at the Store! It was Chevonne’s Birthday so we had cake! My friend Louis came by to show me his new Honda CR-V, so good to see him! I got to discuss This is Us with Linda! My friend Michelle stopped by too, so nice to see her! She picked up a few goodies and I can’t wait to see what she makes with them! After work I came home and went over to my Parent’s and spent some time with them, my Brother, Erika, Daniel, Tristan and Taylor! I even got a little group selfie…

Yes, I look a little bit like a fool, trying to get Tristan to smile! They are such good little kids! After that it was home to do a little organizing! Today is the last day to place your Lawn Fawn Pre-Order with the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! You can click HERE to go to the Collection! Tonight I’ll be getting the order ready! Can’t wait to get all those new goodies into the Store! 😀

For some reason I had a craving for mint chocolate chip ice cream yesterday so I decided that the card version would be a lot less calories! I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the ice cream and cones onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and an extra one for the main image. To stamp them I used Mint Julep, Tide Pool, Soft Brown and Cup O Joe. The single one is cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. My stamped background is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I cut a piece of 48lb Vellum to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and heat embossed the sentiment in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The die cut ice cream and cone is adhered to the Vellum with 3D Foam Squares and then I added more behind it to adhere it to the card. I love the way the Vellum really softens the busy stamped background and highlights the single come and greeting! I hope that you like my card for today! I thank you for coming by and wish you a nice easy Sunday! 🙂

Hello my peeps! What a nice day I had yesterday in Manhattan! Well, except for the 40 minutes that I spent stuck in between stations on the Subway. Thankfully I had my AirPods and some good music to get me through that! Ella was lovely as always. We had a very good discussion about Politics. From there I headed down to The Ink Pad to see Anna. We had a good time as we always do! When I left the store to go to Penn Station I realized that all I had all day was a Venti Soy Vanilla Latte! Oops! I did have dinner with my Parent’s when I got home and then ran to Target with Heather. A little This is Us and then bed. Renee is off today and I have two peeps coming in for a card class this morning, that will be fun! 😀

Today I have a super clean and simple card to share with you for this week’s Paper Players challenge! But before we get to that I want to thank Nance for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s challenge badge…

This may the the cleanest card I have ever made! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the rose and leaves from the Altenew Penned Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. To give the card just a little color I used a Copic to color in the back side of the leaves. The Coordinating dies are used to cut them out and some Multi-Matte Medium adheres them to the card. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right. It needed some sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I do love the softness of the card and all of the whitespace! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players CAS Flowers Challenge! Thanks for stopping by! Have a tremendous Thursday! 🙂

Oh, the rain decided to stick around for another day, and I’ll say it agin, better than snow! Renee and I had a productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. She cut out lovely titles on the Cricut and I made some cards and did a lot of paperwork! I had text Andrew in the morning to tell him that I missed him and he came over last night with Pizza! We got all caught up! Isn’t it great when you have friends that you can just pick up where you left off with?! I also fished catching up with This is Us so I can watch yesterday’s episode tonight when I get home! Today, I’m off to Manhattan! Going to see my friend Ella in the morning and then head down to The Ink Pad to visit my friend Anna! I need a city day! 😀

Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I went nice and simple with lots of stamping! I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and heat embossed the circles from the Concord & 9th Love you, Mean It Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder twice. Using my ruler and a pencil I drew two lines down the card to serve as a guide for where I wanted my stamping. All of the images are from the same set and are stamped in Soft Pink, Soft Lilac, Red Royal and Lime Green. I erased the lines and then used the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card. A little Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres it to the card. All that was left to do was to adhere the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock! I love the simplicity and the cascade of flowers, they were so much fun to stamp! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s card and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and visiting with me! Have a lovely Wednesday! 🙂

    Mojo Monday 481

We are supposed to be getting a Nor’easter today! Thankfully not snow but lots of rain and high winds. Makes yesterday’s overcast weather seem quite nice! LOL! Renee, Angie and I had a productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday. I got some more administrative things finished and made my card for today. It was my Brother’s Birthday yesterday so I left the Store a little early, ran home and finished up a few things before heading out to his house for Dinner. Most of my time was spent playing with Daniel, what better way to spend a Sunday evening?! We had loads of fun, he has quite the extensive array of toys! When I got back to my house I watched Ever After, still one of my favorites. I’m a die hard romantic at heart! Today I have projects and all sorts of other fun things to do! Happy Monday! 😀

If you haven’t taken a look at the Lawn Fawn Pre-Order Sale that is going on over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store Web Site you still have a few days to do so! 20% off the new release and FREE shipping over $50! Click HERE to check it out!

The start of a new week and of course a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I pulled out a favorite set of mine that I haven’t used in a long time! The flower and leaves are from the Altenew Beautiful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flower in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink and the leaves in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and put aside while I worked on the rest of the card. My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and for my background I used a piece of Photoplay This Guy 12×12 Paper. The half circle is cut from a piece of 48lb Vellum with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. Across the lower part of the card is a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. I used it hide the adhesive for the vellum and adhered both to the card with E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and it’s heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a square of Dark Molasses which is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. The flower and leaves are adhered to the square and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and Clear Droplets are added to complete the card! I do love that flower, especially against the dark wood and gold glitter really makes it pop! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done to inspire you! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for staring another week off here with me! A lovely, dreary, rainy day is what we had here yesterday. At least it wasn’t cold! Another fun day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store despite the weather. I got my card made for today and ran to the Post Office to mail out a few orders. Speaking of orders, thank you so much for them! It means a lot to me that you choose to get some of your crafty goodness from me! As a thank you to all of my faithful blog readers you can use discount code JKCARDSBLOG17 to take 10% off every order from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The discount can’t be combined with other discounts. And remember that all orders over $50 ship for FREE! Don’t forget about the two sales that are going on now as well! You can read more about that on yesterday’s blog post! I spent the rest of the day working on things and I also had the pleasure of speaking to my friend Anna from The Ink Pad! Oh how I miss her! The rest of my evening was the usual dinner and then TV. Not the most exciting person at night lately, I know. I’ll have to work on that! 😀

Let’s see… Wednesday, oh, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

I wanted to keep my card clean and use only one stamp set so I pulled out one of my favorites! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half I added a piece of American Crafts Peacock Glitter Tape. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Tide Pool and Mint Julep and the leaves in Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Dot Runner and 3D Foam Squares. For the greeting I heat embossed the hello in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tropical Sea, flagged the right side and used some more 3D Foam Squares to adhered it to the card. It needed a little bling and I wanted something different so I added a few gems from the Hero Arts Pool Mixed Accents and that did the trick! I love the colors together and the fun sparkle of the Peacock Glitter Tape! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and for your support! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
