Fab Friday 107

Ahhh… Friday! Still my favorite day of the week! I did feel like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz yesterday, it was so incredibly windy! You could actually lean into the wind and not fall over! I had my Pop-Up Box card class at the Store yesterday, a good time as always! Renee left a little early to go and have dinner with her daughter and I had dinner with Daniel and my Parents when I got home. My friend Jim came by and we watched TV and had a nice relaxing evening. I really do need to plan a trip into Manhattan but I think I will wait until the weather gets a little warmer!

Today I have my card for the Fab Friday challenge to share with you…

My card is nice and simple! I started with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My little bit of embossed gold sticking out at the bottom is from the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the leaf in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum and cut it out with the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaf Die. Across the card and on top of the leaf is a piece of Deep Blue with both ends flagged. Next up is a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Paper and that is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is the Concord & 9th Kind Card Add-On Die, I cut it out of Deep Blue three times and cut off the ends. The die cuts are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the Glitter Card Stock with Multi-Matte Medium. I decided that I liked it nice and simple so I resisted the urge to add some sequins! I do love the simplicity of the card and we all could use as much kindness as we can get! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge. Make sure that you stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thanks for spending some of your Friday with me! Have a fabulous day! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 233

Just another day at the Store, Renee had her All Occasion Card Class and I got to see some customers and chatted with lots of peeps! After work i went to see Heather. We split a chicken cutlet parmesan hero for dinner and watched Joy, well, the end of Joy. After that I came home and got Winston and settled in for a nice evening of TV. Sometimes I just need to be mindless and TV is the best escape! I need to mix it up a little, I think that I need a trip into the city soon! 😀

Today it’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge day! This week we have a Tic-Tac-Toe for you…

I started my card by stamping the images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse Photopolymer Stamp Set in Orange Soda, Soft Apricot, Butter Bar, Soft Vanilla, Wet Cement and Tide Pool and cut them out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. To make my background I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Soft Brown directly onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My file folder is created with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Tabs Die and a piece of Putty, I added a piece of Seam Binding Ribbon along the bottom and it’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. Next I die cut the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Filmstrip Die from a piece of Tropical Sea and adhered it to the card with more E-Z Runner. The stamped images are then added with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Brown along the top edge of the filmstrip. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Marigold Sequins finish the card! Love the sea images against the woodgrain, you know me, I think that woodgrain goes with everything! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thanks very much for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 276

Well, that was a very busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The Lawn Fawn order came in and went right back out! I couldn’t have gotten it all done with the help of my friend Sue! We worked all day on making sure that everything was sorted, packed and mailed. Everyone that placed an order had their packages mailed out yesterday! I stopped at the Post Office and dropped them off and the lady couldn’t have been nicer! From there it was home to have a little dinner and then off to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! We ended up running to Target and met up with Stephanie there. Back to the house for a lot of laughter! Taylor stopped by and George even hung out with us for bit! I do love my peeps, they are pretty awesome! Today I will input the extra Lawn Fawn and get it back up on the Store site! 😀

I have my card for they week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you today…

I started by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Altenew Magnolias for Her Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black Crisp Ink. To color them in I used my Prismacolor Pencils, I’m getting better but am far from where I want to be with them! I did really enjoy the coloring and blending and that’s what it’s all about right?! After they were colored in I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. For my card I started off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel was actually left over from a card that I made a few weeks ago. I heat embossed the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder onto a piece Kraft. My greeting is from the Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of 48lb Vellum. I wrapped the Vellum around the back of the woodgrain panel and then adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The leaves and single flower are adhered with more E-Z Runner. I choose to forgo the sequins to keep the focus on that pretty flower! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for coming by to see me today! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 232

Happy Wednesday! The warm temps have subsided for a while, it’s not cold, just crisp! I managed to have another productive day at the Store. I made a few cards and caught up on some paperwork. My Parent’s bought Daniel up to see me for a bit. I was eating lunch when they got there so he helped me finish my Wendy’s Chicken Nuggets, his favorite! He wanted to take some selfies but he said that we had make funny faces…

Such a silly little boy, but I’m right there with him! LOL! After work I got to see him again and we played hide and seek which he thought was great fun! Today I think that Renee might be taking the day off so I’ll be getting ready for the Lawn Fawn order to arrive tomorrow! Can’t wait to get all of those goodies shipped out to you! 😀

If it’s Wednesday then it’s time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I played with the February My Monthly Hero Kit again to make my card for today! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the clouds in Memento Tuxedo Black and the rain in Soft Pool to make my background panel and that is adhered over a piece of Canvas Texture Sky with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The single cloud, sun, star and rainbow are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to them. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum that I cut out with the Hero Arts Cloud Infinity Dies. I added the star, sun and rainbow to the Vellum cloud with 3D Foam Squares and then added more to the back to attach it to the card. I then added the single cloud with some more 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish it off! I love that MMH Set, so many neat and different images in it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! SIP Challenge 87 – Kindness!

Made it through another Monday! LOL! The Store was fun with Renee’s Home Decor Class. I got to see my friends Melissa, Debbie and Marianne, we had a good laugh! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parent’s and the chatted with my friend Greg in Indiana for a while. So good to get all caught up! Today, more projects and crafty fun! 😀

Now it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

Kindness, something we really need more of! The idea for today’s card started off with the world map and evolved from there. The world map is from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Hero Arts Green Apple Hybrid Ink onto a piece of Moonstone that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables Lawn Cuts. I added some Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder to the image and heat embossed it. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the envelopes in Wet Cement and the hearts in Soft Pink, Pale Tomato and Crimson Hybrid. The greeting is stamped in Onyx Black. I adhered the world map piece with Fun Foam and Tombo Extreme and the card is done! I love that Map Love Set, it’s retired but I still have one left in the Store! The Acts of Kindness set is also a favorite and I’ll have those back in soon! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! The rest of the Team has some great inspiration for you over on the BLOG so head on over and take a look! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 485

It was the most glorious day here yesterday! It got up to 65 degrees and it was nice and sunny! We had a fun day at the Store. Renee and Angie had their tag class, I worked on projects and catching up on things. I did sneak out early so I could go for a ride in the convertible! Oh how I love that! After some pizza for dinner Taylor and I watched a movie and then ran to Target. Today apparently is a Holiday, I will be at the store! Renee has her Home Decor Class today, more fun! 😀

It is Monday and that means time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

I’m really into the teals and purples lately and that is evident on today’s card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Words Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the outline word beautiful onto a piece of Purple Hearts with some Lawn Fawn Sugarplum Ink repeatedly to create a background and adhered it to the card. On top of that is a piece of Bo Bunny Believe Devotion 12×12 Paper with a piece of American Crafts Peacock Glitter Tape adhered across the bottom. I slipped a piece of American Crafts Purple Baker’s Twine behind the stamped background and tied it in a bow. My flagged piece of Tropical Sea has the solid beautiful heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder across the top and the YOU is die cut from Cyber Grape using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is cut from more Cyber Grape using the Concord & 9th Floral and Flutter Dies. I adhered it with a sliver of a 3D Foam Square and fluffed up the wings and antenna. Some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden Sequins complete the card. I still love that butterfly after all of this time and the colors, some of my current faves! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s card and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Dance in the Rain

The day started out a little on the cooler side but was around 55 degrees later on in the evening! We had a fun day at the Store. Angie and Renee had their book class and I got to meet a few new customers! After work I stopped home and dropped off my stuff and headed over to my friend Jim’s. He made a delicious dinner and we had a nice quiet evening watching TV. A great way to end a Saturday! The make up tag class is on at the Store today, should be fun! 😀

I finally got my February My Monthly Hero Kit yesterday so I had to give it a little love! I started off by using the stencil and some Pool and Charcoal Ink with a Mini Ink Blending Tool to create my background on a piece of Slate Card Stock. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Vellum along with raindrops and adhered around the back of the panel. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the little umbrella person in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to the background. To make my shaker I die cut the window from a piece of Solar White 110lb Card Stock and some Acetate. The acetate is adhered to the back of the window and some 3M Foam Tape goes on next. A little sprinkle of Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins before adding the window and the card is done! I do love a shaker and the that stencil that comes in the kit is great! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for stopping by! Have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Fab Friday 106

TGIF! It was freezing and super windy down by the Store again today. I can’t wait for Sunday! I spent the morning working on projects and then got ready for Card Class. It was a fun group and we had a good time laughing and creating! Today I have a class in the morning and then no class tonight! I have a lot of things around the house that I want to get accomplished so I think I will sneak out a little early! 😀

Good news! It’s a Fab Friday week and we have a fun color challenge for you…

When I saw the colors I saw flowers and couldn’t get that out of my head! I used the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set but did a little something different with it! To create the flowers I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut out pieces of Solar White 80lb and then used them as a stencil to add Soft Cantaloupe and Soft Apricot with my Mini Ink Blending Tool to another piece of Solar White 80lb. I then used my Heat Tool to make sure they were dry and stamped them with the images from the set in the same colors. They are then cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I used a piece of Press n Seal to hold my arrangement in place and stamped the berries and greeting in Raspberry Jam and the leaves in Tide Pool onto another piece of Solar White 80lb. Next I created my card base out of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front in a piece of Tropical Sea. I adhered the stamped background panel to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong and Fun Foam. All that was left to do was to adhere the flowers with 3D Foam Squares! Yes, that set is definitely in my top ten! I do like the sponged and stamped flowers, it’s a nice way to change up the set, almost makes it a layering set! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and take a look at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 331

Hello my friends! We had another pretty nice day and next week we are to get up into the 60’s again! Can’t wait for that! It was another fun day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, Renee and I got some of our many projects worked on and Isa came by to scrapbook and my Parent’s stopped by too! After work I had a quick dinner and then went over to Heather’s. She had made Arepas for dinner last night and saved me one! It was delicious. We saw George for a bit and then headed over to pick up Stephanie so we could run to the Walt Whitman Mall. Heather had to exchange her Michael Kors bag and Stephanie wanted a new one! I got Starbucks so I was happy! We also did an early Thirsty Thursday since I have Card Class tonight. Always a good time with my ladies! 😀

Some of my time at the Store was spent making my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I love those colors! I started off by heat embossing the images from the Altenew Lotus Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Ballerina Pink and Slate. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and put aside while I worked on my base. To create it I used on of the Hero Arts Acetate Note Cards and added some Solar White 80lb to the front, inside front and back. So there would be somewhere to write the greeting I adhered a folded piece to the inside back. My flowers and leaves are then adhered to the card front with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Copper onto another piece of Ballerina Pink and cut out with my Scissors. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhere it to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is finished! It was actually a pretty simple card to make, I love the Acetate Note Card and the simple look of the heat embossed images! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have an excellent Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 231

Wow, Wednesday already?! I enjoyed my solo day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I had a few people stop in and I made my card for today. I also FaceTimed with my Aunt and my cousin Tracey in England, oh and Andrea too! Today I have to get ready for Card Class and work on some things with Renee! After work I had dinner and then came home and watched Valentine’s Day, an appropriate movie! LOL! I hope that you all enjoyed your day with your special someone! 😀

The card that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge

I started off my card by using my Mini MISTI to stamp the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lemon Yellow and Orange Soda with the eye stamped in Black. To cut him out I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I then set about creating my background. To start I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Mint Julep to add just a little color to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I stamped the seaweed from the same set in Emerald Green. My strip of paper down the right side is a piece of Kraft that I heat embossed with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and I heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Hunter Green that I cut out with the banner die from the Hero Arts Little Messages Stamp & Cut Set. The strip is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares along with the goldfish. To complete the card I stamped some of the bubbles in Mint Julep and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets. That Goldfish is still one of my favorites and who doesn’t love the Clear Droplets, they make excellent bubbles! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and take a peek at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery!
