Paper Players 331 – jkcards

Paper Players 331

Hello my friends! We had another pretty nice day and next week we are to get up into the 60’s again! Can’t wait for that! It was another fun day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, Renee and I got some of our many projects worked on and Isa came by to scrapbook and my Parent’s stopped by too! After work I had a quick dinner and then went over to Heather’s. She had made Arepas for dinner last night and saved me one! It was delicious. We saw George for a bit and then headed over to pick up Stephanie so we could run to the Walt Whitman Mall. Heather had to exchange her Michael Kors bag and Stephanie wanted a new one! I got Starbucks so I was happy! We also did an early Thirsty Thursday since I have Card Class tonight. Always a good time with my ladies! πŸ˜€

Some of my time at the Store was spent making my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I love those colors! I started off by heat embossing the images from the Altenew Lotus Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Ballerina Pink and Slate. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and put aside while I worked on my base. To create it I used on of the Hero Arts Acetate Note Cards and added some Solar White 80lb to the front, inside front and back. So there would be somewhere to write the greeting I adhered a folded piece to the inside back. My flowers and leaves are then adhered to the card front with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Copper onto another piece of Ballerina Pink and cut out with my Scissors. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhere it to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is finished! It was actually a pretty simple card to make, I love the Acetate Note Card and the simple look of the heat embossed images! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have an excellent Thursday! πŸ™‚

  1. So pretty! I love that stamp set and colors. Of course anything copper is a winner in my book!

  2. Wow! I don’t think I’ve seen an acetate note card before. It looks like it’s floating in air! Will the acetate envelope make it though the Oh-So-Gentle post office machines without being all crinkled?

Still snowing, still miserable, going back to bed. Have a fun class tonight Justin! Love & Hugs to you XXOO πŸ™‚

  3. Oh yes, I checked in on this yesterday. What a beautiful color combo. I have it all out on my desk to remind me that is what I want to do next. I’ll let you know what I came up with.

  4. I so love this color combo, I saw it some place else and marked it down. Copper just makes anything beautiful! And the acetate….perfect. Acetate cards are so different!!!

I’m exhausted, I got to work from home today…and I hnestly think I worked longer and harder. LOL

  5. Very cool…those florals are amazing, especially “floating” on the acetate! Thanks for sharing this with the Players this week, Justin!
