It was definitely a little nicer here yesterday! Warmer and sunny all day! We are supposed to get up into the 70’s over the weekend finally! My little trip to the Dr. with Brian yesterday morning was a lengthy one! We got there at 8:15 and by the time that he was finished it was 11:15! I had a nice little nap in the car so it was all good! We stopped by the deli on the way home and I had lunch with him and Kim. Once I got back to my house I managed to get a little crafting done. Heather came and got me at 4:30 so we could make a quick run to BJ’s. I had dinner with my parent’s and then headed over to Heather’s. We had a nice evening and watched some YouTube videos and a few movie trailers. Today I need to get my laundry done! It’s been three weeks! I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that I have enough clothes for three weeks to wear or to wash! LOL!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. This month we have a Tic-Tac-Toe board! Love Tic-Tac-Toe, you get a really nice variation in the projects that way!

    OSAT Tic-Tac-Toe

If you have arrived here from my friend Dena’s blog welcome! I love her projects!! I have a card and a little tag for you today so let’s get to it!

First up is my card. I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock for the base and covered that in a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My frame is a piece of Woodgrain Card Stock from Ellen Hutson that I cut out with the Mama Elephant Framed Tags – Madison Avenue Creative Cuts. A generous coating of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen is added to it and then it’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. My flowers are Solar White 80lb and Cucumber Crush that I cut out with The Ton Petal Cut Peonies Dies. They are all coated with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then adhered to the card. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed on Vellum with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Tombo Vellum Adhesive. The card needed a little more sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins! I love that Woodgrain Card Stock, I have had it for a long time but just recently “found” it!

    OSAT March 2016 Blog Hop - Card-WM

No on to the coordinating tag! The front is cut from the same Woodgrain Card Stock using the Mama Elephant Framed Tags – Madison Avenue Creative Cuts along with a piece of Fun Foam. The set also comes with a solid tag without the circle cutout and that’s what I used to cut out the Acetate and the backing from another piece of Desert Storm 80lb. I assembled the layers adhering them together with Scor-Tape filling in the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on a piece of Cucumber Crush that is cut out with another die form the same set. I adhered it to the card with Foam Tape and tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings String though the top.

    Paper Craft Crew 190

Yay for Wednesday! Halfway there people! Yesterday was the usual sort of day. It rained in the morning but stopped by 1:00. I crafted with Andrea over FaceTime and went and had lunch and dinner at my parent’s with Daniel! He is too funny! He was playing with his cars, he loves them! I continued work on my upcoming project and got some more stuff for it too. Last night I ran out and got gas in the car. I have to take Brian to the Dr. this morning so it’s an early day for me! I finally got my taxes done too! Thanks Melissa! You’re the best as always!

Once again it’s time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge and this week we have some colors for you…

    PCCCS190 DT Colors 4-13-2016

I love when I can just stamp and get to use all of those fun ink colors that I have! For the base of today’s card I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the birds in Tempting Turquoise, Cucumber Crush and Crushed Curry with the outlines stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI. The flowers are stamped in Watermelon Wonder and the leaves in Cucumber Crush. I laid out my flowers, leaves and bird onto my card and then used Press ‘n Seal to pick them up. More of the flowers and leaves are stamped on the card and the I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Audrey Blue to the upper half of the card. While the flowers, leaves and bird were still on the Press ‘n Seal I added Foam Squares to the back, removed the backing paper and adhered them to the card. The Press n’ Seal is then peeled off making sure that all of my pieces stayed exactly where I wanted them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black across the top and the card is finished! I loved getting to use a Christmas set to make a nice bright fun card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter one of yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

    Mojo Monday 443

Happy Monday! We had another lovely November like day here yesterday! Wait, it’s April! LOL! I think that Mother Nature is really confused! At least it was sunny! I made my 20 block walk to The Ink Pad in the morning and even opened up the store with Jane a little early! There were some nice people waiting outside and it was just a little too chilly to make them do that! We had a fun day like we always do! I introduced Jane to Apple Music! She’s looking forward to listening to some tuneage! I got the 6:12 train home and had a little dinner with my parents, they waited for me! Aren’t they the best! After dinner I took Winston back home and watched some TV and that was about it! A nice relaxing way to end the weekend!

The start of another week means that it’s time for another Mojo Monday sketch…

    Mojo443

I think that lately I have a slight obsession with purple! Must be trying to make up for the neglect it usually gets! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I cut a piece of paper from the Recollections Color Splash 6×6 Paper Pad with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is a piece of Vellum that I also cut out with the Stitched Rectangles, running it through a second time to get it to the exact size that I wanted. A strip of Black 110lb is flagged on the bottom and adhered down the left side of the Vellum. My main panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb that is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Dies. I stamped the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hot Mama for the hello friend and Black for the Happy Birthday. The Happy Birthday is cut out and adhered under the script hello friend and the panel is adhered to the Vellum with more E-Z Runner. All of the flowers and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Lucky, Thistle, Hot Mama, Rosie Cheeks and Teeny Bikini. I cut them out with my Paper Snips and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner except for the large purple one, that’s adhered with Foam Tape. Of course I had to add some Pretty Pink Posh Shamrock and Orchid Sequins! I do love the different fonts for the greeting and the nice artsy flowers! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with and enter your card into the gallery! Thank you so much for taking some time out of your busy Monday to stop by and see me! Have an amazing day! 🙂

  • Just Because Butterfly

    Just Because Butterfly

Well, they said that we were going to get snow yesterday but thankfully we didn’t! It was rainy and cold for most of the day. When I got into Manhattan it was still pretty nice so I walked down to The Ink Pad from Penn. It’s nice to get some exercise first thing in the morning! We had a busy day and I got to meet lots of people from all over. Most today were from Mexico, Argentina and Brasil. My friends Kim and Maggie stopped by too! Anna and I got finished up right at 7:00 and I made the 7:12, I was home by 8:10! Dinner last night was a nice big salad with croutons and Buffalo Ranch Dressing! Yum! I even found a Hard Ginger Ale in the fridge! I spent a little time crafting and then watched some TV before calling it a night. Today I’ll be heading back into Manhattan for another day at The Ink Pad, this time with Jane!

Today’s card is one that was stuck in my head all day! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For the background I used one of my all time favorite papers, Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper. The main panel is a piece of Neenah Desert Storm 80lb. I heat embossed the butterfly in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder from the Hero Arts Butterfly Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set and used my Prismacolor Pencils to color it in. It’s cut with the Coordinating Die, which is neat because it leaves the body attached and only cuts out the wings! I stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Onyx Black and then tied a piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Hemp Twine in a bow around the lower half adding a dot of Multi-Matte Medium under the bow to keep it in place. The panel is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Pansy Purple, Orchid and Pink Peony Sequins are added to give the card a little movement! I always love the way colored pencils look on kraft card stock! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for your visit today! Have a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

  • Sweet Yellow Rose Thank You

    Sweet Yellow Rose Thank You

What a nice Friday I had! I hope that your’s was just as good! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and we crafted together. Later on I went over to my parent’s to see Daniel, he was  a little cranky, not enough sleep was my guess. I came back home and crafted for bit more before going back to my parents to order Papa John’s online for them for dinner. Daniel does love his pizza! Around 6:30 Bill and Anthony came by to get me and we went to Friday’s for dinner. We got see our favorite waitress Meg and we had another nice guy Zach for our waiter. I had some Warm Pretzels with the Beer Cheese Dip and a Cobb Salad. For dessert Anthony and I split a Tennessee Whiskey Cake, delicious! We came back to my house and much to my surprise and happiness Anthony’s wheelchair fit through my door! Winston was very happy to see him and Bill! We chatted for a bit and then after they left I did some research on my little project. By the time I finished it was after 12:30 and time for bed! I’ll be in Manhattan at The Ink Pad with Anna today, the best way to spend a Saturday!

My card that I have for you today is a nice simple Thank You card. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used some of the new The Paper Cut Gold Mirror Card Stock that I got at the show last week along with the Simon Says Stamp Ariana Wreath to cut out my wreath. I adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The roses are from the Clearly Besotted Sweet Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outlines in Memento Tuxedo Black and the roses in Hero Arts Butter Bar Ink. The leaves are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and Hero Arts Forever Green Ink. I don’t have the coordinating dies so I used my trusty scissors to cut them out. They are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and some White Pearls along with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the roses and the card is finished! You can see the roses better in the second picture! I love the look of the wreath cut from the Gold Mirror Card Stock, it’s so nice and shiny! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! I wish you all a superdelicious Saturday! 🙂

H A P P Y   F R I D A Y   T O   Y O U ! I still loves me some Friday! It was a little drizzly and a little overcast and a little sunny here yesterday! Lot’s of weather in one day! I went out to Starbucks for coffee in the morning with Brian, we stayed in the store and sat and chatted for a bit. When I got back to the house I FaceTimed with Andrea and we worked on our projects. Later on I went over to my parents to see little Daniel. We had a tickle fight, I always win those! LOL! Around 5:00 Heather came and got me and we ran to BJ’s and OfficeMax. She dropped me off and I had dinner with my parents, brother and Daniel. I stopped back at my house and watched a little YouTube before heading over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! We had a great time as always and watched some episodes of Lip Sync Battle. Today I have some errands to run and more crafting to get done! Looks it will be a good Friday!

Some of my crafty time from yesterday made my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 231

I wanted to play with my Gansai Tambi Watercolors again! I finished swatching them out, so nice to have a peek at all of the cool colors in there! My card base for today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I trimmed my angle on the right of a piece of Copper Metallic Card Stock and adhered that to the front of the base. My flower is from The Ton’s Large Peonies Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Paper with Ranger Copper Embossing Powder. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color in the image wetting it first to make sure that the color moved around. The greeting is from the same set, the hello is stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black and then heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The rest of my greeting is heat embossed in more Ranger Bronze on a piece of Black 110lb and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and more Fun Foam. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon, Bronze and Pink Peony Sequins complete the card! I love that nice large flower, perfect for watercoloring and I’m so enjoying my new watercolors! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for spending a little time with me today! Have a fantastic Friday everyone! 🙂

Happy mid-week peeps! It’s still freezing cold here and I’m not enjoying it one bit! If you have any hot weather that you can spare please send it my way! Brian stopped by yesterday to visit for a bit in the morning and then I made my way over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee. We had a nice little chat and from there I came back home and spent some time with Daniel. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, it was Taylor’s Birthday yesterday, she is no longer a teenager! Boy do I feel old! LOL! Last night Danielle came back over and we finished getting all caught up. I miss her but the stories of work make me glad that I’m not there! Today I need to get crafty, lots of projects to get finished, but you know how I love my crafty time!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

    PCCCS189 DT Sketch 4-06-2016

I wanted something bright, bold and quirky! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. The flagged piece is some Canson 140lb Watercolor Card Stock that I covered in Wilted Violet Distress Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spritzed with water and then I dabbed it with a paper towel leaving that fun Distress Background. A piece of Vellum is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Die and adhered behind the flagged piece. I then adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Across the top is a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper and under that is some Purple Smooth Glitter Washi Tape. My feathers and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Dream Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card Stock. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the flagged piece with E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting in Onyx Black from the same set in the lower right corner of the base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Gold, Ocean Spray and Peacock Feather Sequins are adhered around the feathers for some more sparkle! I think that I got a bright, bold and quirky card, how about you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Well, it was a good day to stay inside! It rained all day and last night it was freezing! Spring… right?! Not here! I stayed inside most of the day. I FaceTimed with Andrea and crafted a little in the morning. Taylor and Kiera stopped by with Chipotle and ate lunch here. Danielle stopped by after work for a little while so we could catch up a bit, she’ll be back today, there was way too much to talk about! SIP 42 Color Challenge 800

Some nice sooting colors! A lot of people had commented that the goldfish would look good in other colors so I gave it a try! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel is Solar White 80lb and all of my images and greeting are stamped onto it. The goldfish, stones and seaweed are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the goldfish in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy and then heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. The stones are stamped in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy repeatedly along the bottom. I stamped the seaweed in Soft Sky and because I clear embossed the fish it created an emboss resist so the seaweed looks like it’s behind them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy. I used the Mini MISTI for the fish and greeting, it makes lining them up a breeze! The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I really do love that goldfish set and I think they do look pretty neat in blues! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! What a fun weekend I had! Yesterday it was incredibly windy in Manhattan! Kim and I walked to the Subway together in the morning and it’s good that we were together so that we could stop each other from blowing away! I had a lovely day at The Ink Pad with Jane. The heat was shut off in the building so it was a little chilly in the store. We set up some heaters and had to keep the door locked because it kept blowing open! When we were dome for the day I managed to make the 6:12 and was home by 7:10! Love when the commute from the city takes less than an hour! when I got home I had a little crafting to do and I ran over to my friend Christina’s house to help her with her iPhone. Today I have a few more projects to get through and some errands to run. Hopefully it will be a little bit warmer and a lot less windy!

What better way to start of the week than with a Mojo Monday sketch…

I have a little bit of an aversion to busy backgrounds but I thought that I would give one a try today and see what you think! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Night of Navy. The background is a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Flea Market 6×6 Paper Pad. Next up is a piece of Rose Red that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Craft Dies. On top of that is a piece of Mint Macaroon and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The flagged strip is a piece of So Safron and I heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. I then cut out another piece of Night of Navy with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Craft Dies and adhered that to the card with E-Z Runner. My flower is a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Paper cut out with The Ton’s Petal Cut Peonies Stand Alone Dies. I used some of my Finetec Metallic Watercolors to paint it and then adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added to break up the Mint Macaroon and add a little more sparkle. I love that flower, especially all glitzed up with the Finetec Watercolors! I hope that you like my Design Team card of this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the team has to inspire you! Hi there! I hope that you are having as good a weekend as I am! I was up bright and early again yesterday and at The Ink Pad by 7:15. We boarded the bus and got underway at 8:00am sharp. It was raining on the way down t0 Allentown but a little while after we arrived it had stopped and the sun even came out later in the day! We did raffles on the bus on the way down and I had Barbara and Jane laughing so much that their faces hurt by the time we got there! It was a fun day, I got to see some of my blog peeps which is always awesome and met a few new people too! We had lunch at the Amish Market. For dessert Barbara and I ate an entire half of a Shoo-Fly pie! It was good, not as good as my grandmother’s but pretty good! The bus ride back was more laughing and raffles. Anna was still at the store so we chatted with her for a bit. Barbara and I took a cab back uptown and stopped at D’Agostino’s before I headed back up to Kim’s. She had a party to go to so I watched a movie and then I was more than ready for bed! I did get some cool paper from The Paper Cut and a Mini MISTI! It will fit much better on my desk! I’ll be at The Ink Pad with Jane today so come on by and say hello!

I have a very quick and easy card to share with you today. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a new die to me from Gina Marie Designs called Wreath Die, it’s cut from Early Espresso and adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is a piece of Rose Red cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Small You Craft Die and the rest is stamped in Rose Red using the Simon Says Stamp You Photopolymer Stamp Set. My fun Flower Sequins are some that Michael sent to me from Brasil. I adhered then around the wreath using Multi-Matte Medium and the card is finished! See, I told you super simple! I do love that Wreath Die, so neat and the sequins are cute! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and that you all have a super Sunday! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
