Fab Friday 129

Ahh… Friday! I had quite the busy day yesterday and I did manage to get a lot accomplished! Got a few orders packed up and sent out, spoke to a few peeps, ran some errands. Jim came by after work and we had Zorn’s for dinner and then watched TV. This morning I have some crafty projects to work on and a few other things to take care of. I think that I’ll see if I can go into Manhattan on Sunday and see my friend Kim, I need a little city trip and it’s supposed to be nice! πŸ˜€

Every other week we have a new Fab Friday challenge and it’s one of those weeks! Our inspiration this time is a sketch…

I wanted to do a somewhat one layer card so I took out some Grey 110lb Card Stock and cut it so I could piece it back together by adhering it to a piece of Solar White 80lb. Onto that I stamped the outline rose and leaf images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Granite. In the bottom right corner I heat embossed a greeting from the set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and then adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The heart die cut is from the Hero Arts January My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to add it to the card. I do love the subtle roses in the background and the that delicate heart is so neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 320

Woke up this morning to the sun shining! A nice change up from yesterday’s rain and snow mix! It’s still really chilly but we are supposed to get up into the high 40’s over the weekend! Looking forward to that! Daniel and Tristan were good as they always are yesterday. Daniel and I played with his new Lego and Tristan and I danced around the house! I love getting to see them every week! When I came home Taylor was waiting for me and we spent the rest of the evening watching Netflix. A nice relaxing way to end the day! I have a lot to get accomplished today, the list keeps growing and I need to whittle it down a bit! πŸ˜€

I got a bunch of new goodies from Concord & 9th and I was dying to use them! That resulted in my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

They released a set of Monogram Stamps and I had to have them all! Today I used the B to make a simple birthday card. I stamped it in Hippo using my Mini MISTI. The flowers are stamped in Sugarplum, Sunflower and some JalapeΓ±o for the leaves. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die that leaves a nice stitched edge around the letter! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped a few images from the Concord & 9th Love You, Mean It Photopolymer Stamp Set in the same colors. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto Black 110lb and cut out with another one of the Dies from the Monogram Set. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhere the B and some 3M Foam Tape for the greeting. A nice simple card with some pops of color! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketch challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have an excellent Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 276

Hey there! Happy Hump Day! We were supposed to get snow this morning but it’s raining instead and will turn to snow for a few hours before it stops. Still over the Winter! I had a busy day day yesterday dealing with little issues here and there. Why does everything happen all at once?! I’m sure that it’s the same for all of us but boy one thing goes sideways and everything else follows! I should have it all under control today, positive thinking right?! I did go over to Jim’s last night and we got his Mom’s den all put back together. Check that project off of the list. This morning I’m off to watch the kiddies! Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday! πŸ˜€

I received the My Monthly Hero Kit yesterday so I used that for my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the Love from the Set in Soft Pink and Red Royal using my Mini MISTI. In the upper left and lower right are pieces of Galvanized Curious Metallic Card that I cut out with one of the Dies from the Kit. They are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. There is a fun pack of Sequins included and I could resist adding some, they give it just the right amount of sparkle! I do really like that Love with the layering, so neat and different! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 133 – Sketch!

Well, that was a quick Monday! I did a few things around the house in the morning and then went out with Heather to run a some errands. She made us lunch at her house, a nice salad and grilled turkey and cheese sandwich. When I got back the kids were at my Parent’s so I went and saw them for a little while. The evening was finished off with a little Hawaii Five-O on Netflix! I need the nice warm scenery! LOL! I have a few things to do this morning and then later I’ll head over to Jim’s so we can put his Mum’s den back together! πŸ˜€

Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog…

A nice simple sketch! I pulled out my Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy Photopolymer Stamp Set and started by using my Mini MISTi to stamp the flower in  Bubble Gum, Crimson Hybrid and Raspberry Jam Ink. The coordinating Die cuts it out. Onto a piece of Solar White 80lb I stamped a stem in Moss Hybrid and cut that out with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Stamp in Charcoal onto a piece of Grey Card Stock. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the card is a piece of Pluto Stardream Metallic and over that I used some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhere the circle. The flower is adhered with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting its from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered with more 3M Foam Tape to the circle. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Charcoal Sequins finish the card! Love the bold pop of red against the white and gray! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! The rest of the Team has some great cards to inspire you over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting with me today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 376

Hello friends and a happy Martin Luther King Day to you! A Monday is always better when it’s a Holiday!! I had a nice weekend and hope that you all did too! On Saturday Jim and I drove up to the lake house in PA to check on the work that was done, not very happy with it so I emailed the contractor and told him what needed to be fixed. It was incredibly cold but so beautiful there! Really great to get to see the place in the winter!

We stopped and had dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way home, not as good as we had remembered! Yesterday we painted his Mother’s den a nice grayish blue color. That was an all day project, the cutting in and trim takes such a long time! Today I will be recovering from using all of those muscles that I never do! LOL! πŸ˜€

I squeezed in a quick card this morning for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Whenever I’m feeling a lack of Mojo I always grab some solid image stamps and create a stamped background. It also lets me get some more use out my neglected sets! Onto a panel of Solar White 80lb I stamped the greeting and images from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. The greeting is stamped in Charcoal and the images in Stone Wash, Lemon Yellow, Bubble Gum and Antigua. I adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon and Lemon Drop Sequins. A simple a fun card to let someone know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 319

Hey there! It’s supposed to get up to 46 degrees today! Maybe some of the snow will melt, that would be nice! I had a fun day with Daniel & Tristan yesterday, they really are such great kids! Daniel played on his hi-Pad and Tristan and I danced around the house. My Brother got home around 3:00 and I headed home. After dinner with my Parents Taylor and I watched a little TV and ran to Michaels quick. I have some laundry to do today and more errands to run. Anything to stay busy! πŸ˜€

I did manage to squeeze in a card this morning and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

A fun layered sketch! I have been on a bit of a purple kick lately, not sure why! The main panel of my card is stamped in Freshly Cut Grass, Fresh Lavender and Sugarplum using some of the floral images from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set. It’s backed with a piece of Black 110lb and added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock that has a piece of Cyber Grape covering the front. I die cut the happy from a piece of Black 110lb with the die from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Dies and adhered it to the stamped panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Some sparkle always makes a card better so I added Clear Sparkle Pen to the happy and some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden and Pansy Purple Sequins. A fun card to send a little happy to someone that needs a pick me up! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Always good to have you stop by! Have an awesome Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 275

Well, either it’s not as cold as it has been or I’m finally becoming immune to it! LOL! I don’t think that I will ever become immune to the cold, just not my kind of weather! It was a little warmer yesterday, got up into the 30’s which melted a teeny bit of the snow. I ran my errands in the morning and did a little cleaning too. Jim and I went to see Star Wars – The Last Jedi in the evening and it was really good. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan again! πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new sketch from the Paper Craft Crew

Keeping with my simple cards I did a one layer one today! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I heat embossed the brushstrokes and thank you from the Concord & 9th Painted Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. On a diagonal across the lower half of the card I added a piece of Gold Sparkle Washi Tape. It needed a little something more so I took out my Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and added just a few for a some bling. Another super simple but easy to mass produce card! The gold heat embossing makes it a little more special don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming but today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

Hello! I missed yesterday I know! I forgot that I was watching Daniel and Tristan and thought that I would have time to make a card in the morning! Oops! I’ll make up for it today as I will have another post at 11:00! I had a nice day with the kiddos, they are always so much fun and I really enjoy getting to spend time with them each week. Daniel was focused on playing Mario on his hi-Pad and Tristan and spent the better part of the morning dancing! LOL! She loves to listen to music! When I got home I watched a little TV, had dinner and then hung out with Taylor for a bit. I also spoke to my friend Greg in Indianan for a while, always good to catch up with him! I have a bunch of things to get done this morning and then Jim and I are going to see Star Wars tonight! πŸ˜€

The first post of this double post Tuesday is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I wanted to do a little bit of a masculine spin on my card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the sprinkles from the Essentials by Ellen with Concord & 9th Sweet Sprinkles Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Doe and Fish Tank using my MISTI. I stamped the cupcake in the same colors. Using my MISTI made it easy for me to re-stamp the frosted part in Versa-Mark so that I could heat emboss it with some Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. The Coordinating Dies cut them out and the cupcake is adhered to my card base with 3M Foam Tape. A simple sweet card with a masculine spin! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Cake Walk Challenge! There is a lot more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll see you back here at 11:00, until then enjoy your morning! πŸ™‚

Simple Love – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again!! I’m about to go outside and see if can dig out my car and get the heck out of this house!! I have a touch of cabin fever from being home all day yesterday! It’s time for my January Solo Post here on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! The next big card making holiday coming up is Valentine’s Day so I figured that I would get a jump on making some cards for it! I’m really loving the Concord & 9th Love You So Stamp Set, perfect for just such cards!

For my card base I trimmed a piece of Gray Card Stock to 11″ x 3 5/8″ and folded it so it was 5 1/2″ tall. Using my MISTI I stamped the LOVE from the Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set in Wet Cement down the left side. For my greeting and hearts I used the Love Always Frame Dies to cut out some Classic Cherry and Solar White 110lb. They are adhered to the card base with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A nice simple card with some stamping and a few die cuts!
