Paper Players 248… Oops!

What a nice day I had yesterday! I did my post when I got up and all of the rest of the social media goodness that goes along with it and then I got in the car, put the top down and headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte! It’s funny how driving with top down in the car makes me so happy! I had an everything bagel for breakfast and chatted with the ladies that were there for the weekend crop while I selected my papers for this week’s card class. Around 3:00 I headed home and had a nice surprise, Daniel and my brother were at my parents! I got to spend some time with the little man and then Anthony text me and asked if I wanted to go with him and Bill to BestBuy to get a new phone. Bill’s old phone was about 5 years old and now he has a nice shiny new iPhone 6! After, we headed to SmashBurger for a little dinner and then came back to my house and hung out in the backyard. Before they headed home we did a quick Target trip! I know, I go there way too much! When I got back to the house Taylor was here and I finished up some crafty stuff. A very relaxing day indeed!

Here are Anthony and I acting a fool in Michaels!

Anthony & I Michaels Swords

That was taken with Bill’s spiffy new iPhone! LOL!

Today I have my card that I forgot to post for last week’s Paper Players masculine theme…

Paper Players #248

Hence the oops in the title! I made the card on Tuesday I think but just got a little behind with everything! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Night of Navy. My background is Neenah Solar White 80lb and I stamped it with the anchors from the Simon Says Stamp Nautical Borders Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pool Party. Before I adhered it to the card I heat embossed the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Naughty Nautical Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Vellum. It’s backed with a piece of Night of Navy and adhered around the back with Fast Fuze Adhesive. The ship is from the same set and is stamped in Bermuda Bay and cut it out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies. The waves are from the Nautical Borders Set and are stamped in Pool Party. I also cut out a piece of Night of Navy and Fun Foam with the same dies for the frame. Another piece of Fun Foam and SNAIL Adheres it to the card. A masculine card with lots of blue! I hope that you enjoyed my card for last week’s Paper Players Masculine Theme challenge! Now I’m all caught up! LOL! Thank you for stopping by and have a fantastic Sunday! 🙂

Mojo 401, Freshly Made Sketches 190 & Pals Paper Arts 255

Today is catch up day for me! It was quite hot here yesterday and muggy again but that just means more convertible time! Work was busy and after I had dinner I came home and started working on a bunch of projects because I got way behind this week! Around 8:00 I ran over to see my friend Sandy for a bit. She had ordered some new things from My Favorite Things and there was one little goodie in there for me! I got back from Sandy’s around 10:00 and finished up my projects. This morning I’m going to head over to Scrap-A-Latte and pick up the stamps for this month’s card class which is on Thursday and Friday! Yikes! I think that Taylor is going to take a ride with me provided that she is up! Today’s post is lengthy, three cards for you this Saturday morning!

Up first is my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. Still can’t believe that I’m on the Design Team now!! Here it is…

Mojo401

This card has lots of new goodies from the new 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog! The card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the entire front with a piece of Very Vanilla. My background is also a piece of Very Vanilla that I embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. On the right is a piece of Calypso Coral with a piece of “Vintage” Old Olive 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon. I adhered it to a piece of Fun Foam and then to the card with SNAIL. The middle panel is a piece of paper from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper 6X6 Stack backed with some Basic Black, it’s adhered to the card with SNAIL and tucked under ribbon. My greeting and butterfly are from the Watercolor Wings Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is heat embossed in “Vintage” Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum, the bottom is flagged with the top folded over and tucked behind the center panel. For the butterfly I stamped him in Mint Macaroon and Pacific Point on Very Vanilla and cut him out with the Butterfly Thinlits. The body is a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine, I folded a piece in half and the wound some more around it securing with some Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. A few Basic Jewels Pearls are adhered to the butterfly and some Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine and Hazel & Ruby The Makery Green with Envy Sequins are scattered about. I love that Brick Wall Embossing Folder and the DSP is great!

Next up is my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 190

I decided to turn it on it’s side and make a wedding card, nope, still not done with them! The card base for this one is the same Neenah 110lb. On the front is a piece of Basic Gray that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Geometric Next Level Embossing Folder. Across the bottom is a piece of Blushing Bride that I heat embossed the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Liquid Platinum. Some SNAIL and Fun Foam adheres it to the card. The wreath and branches are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in more Platinum Embossing Powder on Vellum and cut out with the matching Simon Says Stamp Lovely Day Dies. Some Ranger Multi-Matte Medium and Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape adhere them to the card. Around the greeting is a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Hazel & Ruby The Makery Shine & Sparkle Sequins. I’m really loving the new Next Level embossing folders and the Platinum Embossing powder is definitely one of my favorites!

FMS 190-WM

Today’s final card is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

PPA 255

I just had to play with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder again! The card base for this is the same as the first two, this one is covered in a piece of Marina Mist. The background is a piece of Sahara Sand that is embossed with that Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. My greeting is from the Whole Lot of Lovely Host Stamp Set and is heat embossed in “Vintage” Early Espresso Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Marina Mist. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies to cut it out. The Flourish is the new My Favorite Things Pierced Fancy Flourish Die and is cut from Early Espresso and adhered to the card with Ranger Multi-Medium Matte. I used some Fun Foam and SNAIL to adhere the greeting to the card. I thought it needed a little something more so I punched out some flowers with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack from Marina Mist and used more Multi-Matte Medium to adhere them to the card. Finally some Basic Jewels Pearls are adhered to the centers of all of the flowers including the ones on the greeting. Like I said, I love the Brick Wall Folder!

PPA 255-WM

OSAT Blog Hop – Happy Father’s Day

OSAT Header

Hello everyone, happy Thursday to you! Today I’m participating in the fourth blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. The focus this month is Father’s Day 0r Masculine Cards! I had some fun using some different elements and new products! If you have arrived here from Ginger Pelfrey’s blog, welcome! Ginger had some amazing stuff didn’t she?! I have two cards for you today so let’s get to them!

My first card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the entire card front with a piece of Early Espresso. The background is a piece of denim that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles and used some Stick-It Adhesive Sheet to adhere it to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. I used a piece of Fun Foam and SNAIL to adhere it to the card. My tag is a piece of EK Success Wood Adhesive Wood Sheet, I cut it out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Die and adhered it to another piece of Neenah. I used the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Open Book Deer Die to cut out a piece of Early Espresso and Adhesive Cork Sheet. They are slightly offset and adhered to the tag. I tied a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord though the top and adhered the tag to the card with more Fun Foam and SNAIL. The greeting is from one of the Paper Pumpkin Kits and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum and adhered to the tag with Ranger Multi-Purpose Glue. I love all of the texture from the denim and wood. I think this would make a great birthday or father’s day card, don’t you?!

OSAT FD Hop - Wood Deer-WM

My second card is nice and clean but features a great new embossing folder! The base of this is the same as the first. My background is a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb that embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Woven Embossing Folder. It’s adhered to a piece of Fun Foam with SNAIL and also to the card base. I heat embossed the greeting and the anchor from the Guy Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black. The anchor is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Small Tags Die and some Hemptique Black Hemp Cord is tied though the top. The greeting and tag are adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I used some Ranger Multi-Matte Medium to adhere the twine to the card. I absolutely love that embossing folder and the cool 3D effect!

Paper Craft Crew 148

Now that was a long day yesterday! It rained here in the morning and then was nice and sunny by the afternoon. I left work at 3:00 and got the 3:44 train into Manhattan. Not surprisingly it was late! LOL! I did get to Isabella’s around 5:00. She was going thorough a bunch of things that she had brought back from her mum’s house in Italy and gave me some of them. Really lovely things that are just wonderful. I’m going to use some of them in my pictures and I’ll let you know when I do. It was great to see her as always and I can’t thank her enough for the beautiful treasures that she gave me! Taylor picked me up from the train and by the time I got home it was 11:00. Like I said, a very long day, but a good one none the less!

Before I get to today’s post I have some extremely exciting news! In the morning, one of the first things that I do is go on Twitter. As I was scrolling through my feed this morning I see a Tweet from Alison Barclay congratulating me on my Mojo Monday Design Team appointment! What?!?! I almost dropped the phone! Sure enough I went to the Mojo Monday blog and there it is… my card from last week congratulating me! CRAZY?! I’m so very honored to have been chosen! I can’t believe it! Thank you Julee!! I can’t wait to get started! 😀

Now for today’s card, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS148 DT Sketch 6-10-2015

I used some new goodies from the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece is Watermelon Wonder and on the right is a piece of paper from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. I stamped the candles from the Sprinkles of Life Photopolymer Stamp Set in Watermelon Wonder on the right and then adhered a piece of Pool Party 1/4′ Cotton Ribbon around the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Some more is tied into a bow and adhered with a Glue Dot. A piece of Crushed Curry and a piece of Cucumber Crush are punched out with the Banner Punch and adhered under the ribbon with SNAIL. The square is a piece of Bermuda Bay that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares and adhered it to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. The cupcake is also from the Sprinkles of Life Set along with the greeting. I heat embossed the bottom in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Silver Foil Sheet and the top is stamped in Jet Black Staz-On onto some Vellum. I also heat embossed the sprinkles in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To get the puffy white look I used the Stampin’ Pierce Mat and the Simply Scored Stylus on the back in a circular motion. The bottom is adhered with SNAIL and the top with Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. My happy birthday is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Cucumber Crush that I flagged the ends on and adhered with some Foam Tape. To finish off the card I adhered three Recollections Enamel Dots. I really do love that Sprinkles of Life Set and don’t forget that for each one sold Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the design team has done to inspire you! Thank you so much for your visit today, have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Welcome to Stamp, Ink, Paper!!!!

An extra happy Monday to you! I had a rough start yesterday, lesson learned, but the rest of the day was nice. I went over and hung out with Brain and Kim for a bit and then came home and worked on some projects. I had a lot to get done this weekend in preparation for today’s announcement! I have been toying with the idea of starting my own challenge blog. I love playing along with all of the challenges that I do each week and seeing all of the amazing cards and projects that are submitted. I had fun being the co-captain on Can You Case It with my friend Eva. Since I already had a talented bunch of people Eva and I decided that I could take some of my team and move forward with my little project. So today marks the very first Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!

SIP Header

I’m excited to be able to do this and I couldn’t have done it without the help of the rest of the Design Team! We have added a few new faces and there are some that you know from CYCI. We thought that we would start things off with a nice easy challenge, Getting to Know You! Make a card using your favorite Stamps, Ink and Paper! Whatever style you like! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! To make sure that there is enough time for everyone to participate this challenge will run for two weeks! Some of our Design Team is also giving away blog candy so make sure and go to the SIP Challenge Site and visit the other designers! We are also giving you the ability to vote for your favorites! Make sure that you cast your vote and the person with the most votes at the end of the challenge will be featured as our Audience Pick!

So without further ado here is the new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Any Challenge 1

I actually made a few cards for this but when I thought about what kind of card is my favorite I had to go with a college card! This one was inspired by one that I saw on Pinterest a while back. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Two layers, one of Neenah 80lb and one of Pink Pirouette, are adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. On top of that is a piece of Vellum that I heat embossed the Hero Arts Large Notebook Paper Background Stamp with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The wreath is from the Your Perfect Day Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder and cut out with a die from DiesByDave. I adhered some of the pearls that Mr. Trent sent me with Thermo-Web Bling Glue Dots. The heart is a piece of red felt from Michaels and is cut out with the Hearts Collection Framelits and adhered with Glue Dots. For the flowers I used some Pink Pirouette and Watermelon Wonder with the Tim Holtz Tiny Tattered Florals Dies, they are also adhered with Glue Dots. One of the Subtles Collection Designer Buttons has a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Twine tied in a bow and it’s adhered with another Glue Dot. A few Hazel & Ruby The Makery Shine & Sparkle Sequins and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered with Crystal Effects. The stamped greeting is from the Crazy About You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Tip Top Taupe. The you is a piece of Pink Pirouette cut out with the Simon Says Stamp You Craft Die and adhered with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. Phew! That’s a lot of stuff! LOL! I love the roses and the addition of the felt to the card, the wreath, well you know how I feel about that! So there is my first card for the NEW Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge blog! I really hope that you enjoyed it and that you will go over and see what the rest of the talented Design Team has to inspire you! We would love to see one of your creations in the gallery too! Thank you so much for coming by to see me and making my days brighter with your comments and visits! Have an absolutely amazing Monday my friends! 🙂

Pals Paper Arts 254

Hello there my friends and a very happy Friday to you! Thankfully we didn’t get any rain yesterday and it was actually not too bad, we even had some breaks of sun! Today it’s supposed to be overcast but no rain again and the weekend is to be nice too! It was another busy day at the office and straight from there I went to see Renee. I missed her! We FaceTimed with Michael for a bit and then I went to my parent’s to have some dinner. From there I headed over to see Brian and Kim for a bit with Taylor. Love catching up with them, they are just the best! When I came home I sat down and made my card for today. Another full but fun day! Tonight I’m out to dinner with Anthony and Bill, not sure where we are going yet but it will be a good time no matter what!

The card that I made last night is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

PPA 254

Thankfully I have some Strawberry Slush left! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel is a piece of So Saffron. I used the Simon Says Stamp Ring Frame Wafer Thin Die to cut out some Strawberry Slush. The rings are adhered to the panel with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. The Simon Says Stamp Circle Smile Die is cut from So Saffron and Soft Suede, I adhered it to the circle that was cut out with the Ring Frame. Some of the other circles along with the smile are adhered back into the frame with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Happy and Smile Photopolymer Stamp Set, it’s heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Soft Suede and also adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A strip of paper from the Park Lane Designer Series Paper Pack is adhered to the card base on the right. The panel is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Spring Mix Sequins are randomly adhered to the card and that finishes the card for today! I really do enjoy that Ring Frame and love that Circle Smile Die too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge! Have yourselves a simply awesome Friday and thank you for spending some of it with me! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 189

It was a lovely day yesterday, nice and sunny and a bit warmer than it has been. When I got home from work little Daniel was at my parents. It’s hard to believe but he gets cuter every time that I see him. We had dinner and then Daniel and I played ball on the front porch. He was throwing it over the railing and I was catching it. Then he decided that it would be fun to give me a kiss through each of the banisters! He was so proud of himself! Like I said he just keeps getting cuter! Sandy also stopped by for a bit and then I headed over to Heather’s for Whiskey and Wine night! Always good to have some alone time with Heather!

So… today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 189

I need to add some masculine cards to my stash so I had some fun with the By the Tide Set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel on the front is Soft Sky and I used the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out a piece for my shaker. I used Ranger Transparent Gloss Texture Paste and the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil to create the shiny bubbles. Some Fun Foam with a matching circle cut out is adhered to the back with SNAIL. I filled the shaker with some seed beads and covered the back with a piece of Vellum and then adhered the panel to the card. My fish is from the By the Tide Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with a eyeshadow applicator using Island Indigo, Garden Green and Calypso Coral Ink. I used a die to cut out the fish and adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Guy Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Island Indigo and also adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the card and coated the fish in Wink of Stella Clear Glitter for a little sparkle! I love the look of the Transparent Texture Paste and the neat seed beads! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you so much for visiting me today! Have a terrific Thursday! 🙂

We are supposed to get a break from the rain today, they say some sun in the afternoon but then right back to the rain for Thursday and Friday. As long as it’s nice at the weekend! Today was dreary but you make the most of it right?! Work was a little busy but I still managed to get a bunch of things done. Dinner tonight was bacon cheeseburgers and beer battered french fries! YUM! After I came home and Skyped with Andrea and made a card using some new goodies that I recently acquired! I like when I can just sit down and play for a little while! Taylor came by and we ran to Target to get some soy milk and eggs, I also picked up some Twizzlers because, well, they make mouths happy! LOL! How is your week going?

Before I get to my card for today I wanted to share some cards that a friend of mine sent to me along with some goodies including some brochures on London! Her name is Nicole Watt, better known as the Pixel Maven! She is a very talented card maker and a whiz with computers! In my package was a cool little surprise. We lost the Color Coach in this year’s Catalog, not to worry, Nicole has an ingenious solution for us! She came up with her own color chart! You can see it by clicking here and heading over to her blog. She has it available as a download or you can purchase one of the handy cards! Speaking of cards, here are the two that she sent me…

This one actually uses the placemat from the restaurant that we had lunch in while I was in Florida for Leadership in January!

And this one is just gorgeous! I love the watercoloring!! Thank you Nicole!!

Today it’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for our sketch challenge for this week…

PCCCS147 DY Sketch 6-03-2015

I used a bunch of different goodies on my card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of the Sale-A-Bration Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. My panel is a piece of Bermuda Bay with some Vellum adhered behind the embellishments on top of it. The panel is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. My three feathers are cut from Pool Party with the Feathers Framelits, I spattered them with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Teal and Gold. They are adhered to the panel with Foam Tape. The stamped greeting is from one of the Paper Pumpkin Kits and is heat embossed in Pool Party Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Coastal Cabana and adhered with more Foam Tape. The die cut greeting is cut from Gold Foil Sheet with the Papertrey Ink Wonderful Words Birthday Die and adhered with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. A scattering of Hazel & Ruby The Makery Green with Envy and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finishes the card. I love the blues and all of the different texture on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the design teams projects! I also hope that you enjoyed the cards from Nicole and that you check out her blog too! Thank you so much for sharing in my day! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Mojo 400!

And just as they promised it was a rainy and cold day here all day yesterday. Not my favorite kind of day but if it’s going to be rainy it may as well be during the week! I did have a pretty nice day despite the weather. I got a lot accomplished at the office and my mum made Chicken Marsala for dinner which is one of my favorites! When I got home I made my card for tonight and Taylor stopped by. I also chatted with Andrea and Michael for a while, not a bad day at all! Oh, don’t forget that today is the first day that you can order from the NEW 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog!! You can also order from the 2014-2015 and Occasions Catalogs today too! Nice and simple and this was one of those that I put together in my little brain while I was at work! The card base is Whisper White Card Stock. My background is a piece of Whisper White that I stamped with the Dictionary Background Stamp in Smoky Slate. On top of that is a piece of Vellum Card Stock, I heat embossed the greeting from the Hello Life Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Some strategically placed Multi-Purpose Glue adheres it to the Dictionary piece. I used the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out the bottom left corner and used the Project Life Corner Rounder to round the three remaining corners. Before I adhered it to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam I adhered a piece of paper from the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper Pack in the lower left corner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins finish of the card with a little sparkle! I love the muted look of the Dictionary Stamp behind the Vellum and I purposely didn’t adhere the corners, I think it gives it a lot more dimension! I really hope that you enjoyed my 180th card for the Mojo Monday 400th sketch challenge! I have had so much fun playing along with them and I look forward to 400 more! Thank you for coming by and I wish you all a simply amazing Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 247 X 2!

I won’t say anything about the weekend seeming short, I will just wish you a happy Monday! My weekend was very low key. I haven’t had a weekend like that in I can’t tell you how long. I didn’t do much yesterday, for breakfast I did make myself some waffles with my new waffle maker and they were delicious! After that I played around in the craft room and took a ride to the mall to go to the Apple Store and get a new band for my Watch. It was really just too nice out to not put the top down in the car and take a ride. Last night we had rain just like they promised, but we need that too right?!

Today, since it’s Monday, I have my cards, yes cards, for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe from Laurie challenge…

Paper Players #247

Before I get to today’s cards I want to thank Karen for choosing me as her headliner for last week’s challenge. You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE. Now on to this week! I do love their Tic-Tac-Toe challenges! I went diagonal from lower left to upper right; die cut, embossing and sequins. Clever Jennifer McGuire did a neat technique the other day where she embossed with a die cut, well, I had to give that a try! I liked it so much I did it twice! The first card uses some Neenah Solar White 110b Card Stock for the base. My piece of paper is from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Flea Market 6×6 Pad and is cut to 3 1/2″ wide and adhered to the card with SNAIL. Next up is a piece of Kraft Card Stock that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Here comes the part on how I created the tag!

For my tag I used the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Dies to cut out a piece of Canson 140lb Cold Press Watercolor Paper. I then took the Simon Says Stamp Devonshire Butterfly Die and inked it up with some Simon Says Stamp Teal Ink (I used the Simon ink because it’s a felt pad and therefore easier to ink up the Die). Remember the Impression Pads that Stampin’ Up! used to cary along with the Embossing Plates? That is what I used on my sandwich in the Big Shot, Multipurpose Platform-No Tabs, Cutting Plate, Inked Die, Watercolor Paper, Impression Pad and Plate. The pressure from the Pad presses the die into the Watercolor Paper and gives you that Letterpress look!

My tag then has a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Twine tied through the top and left extra long and some Fun Foam and SNAIL adheres it to the card. The greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Sayings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on some Bermuda Bay. A little Foam Tape holds that in place. And last but not least some Hazel & Ruby The Makery Green with Envy and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered to the tag with Crystal Effects. So I sort of killed two birds by embossing with the die! Like I said I liked it so much I made another one!

The second card I used the same base but covered the entire front with a piece of Wisteria Wonder. The Butterfly Thinlits Die is inked with Simon Says Stamp Hydrangea Ink and impressed into the Watercolor Paper the same way. I adhered the paper to a piece of Fun Foam and then to the card with SNAIL. The hello is cut from Gold Foil Sheet with the Hello You Thinlits and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Glue. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are adhered to the card with Crystal Effects give it a little sparkle!

I really hope that you enjoyed the cards that I made for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from Laurie and that you will give the embossing with a die a try! Thank you so much for sticking with me thorough today’s lengthy post! Have a magnificent Monday my friends! 🙂
