Hello everyone, happy Thursday to you! Today I’m participating in the fourth blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. The focus this month is Father’s Day 0r Masculine Cards! I had some fun using some different elements and new products! If you have arrived here from Ginger Pelfrey’s blog, welcome! Ginger had some amazing stuff didn’t she?! I have two cards for you today so let’s get to them!
My first card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the entire card front with a piece of Early Espresso. The background is a piece of denim that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles and used some Stick-It Adhesive Sheet to adhere it to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. I used a piece of Fun Foam and SNAIL to adhere it to the card. My tag is a piece of EK Success Wood Adhesive Wood Sheet, I cut it out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Die and adhered it to another piece of Neenah. I used the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Open Book Deer Die to cut out a piece of Early Espresso and Adhesive Cork Sheet. They are slightly offset and adhered to the tag. I tied a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord though the top and adhered the tag to the card with more Fun Foam and SNAIL. The greeting is from one of the Paper Pumpkin Kits and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum and adhered to the tag with Ranger Multi-Purpose Glue. I love all of the texture from the denim and wood. I think this would make a great birthday or father’s day card, don’t you?!
My second card is nice and clean but features a great new embossing folder! The base of this is the same as the first. My background is a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb that embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Woven Embossing Folder. It’s adhered to a piece of Fun Foam with SNAIL and also to the card base. I heat embossed the greeting and the anchor from the Guy Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black. The anchor is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Small Tags Die and some Hemptique Black Hemp Cord is tied though the top. The greeting and tag are adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I used some Ranger Multi-Matte Medium to adhere the twine to the card. I absolutely love that embossing folder and the cool 3D effect!

Good Morning Justin:
I have decided that the companies products that you use on your cards (other than SU of course) should start giving you a bit of kick back since every time you use one of their products a bunch of us just know we HAVE to have them. The basket weave EF is today’s example. I know I will absolutely have to have that one. I don’t even want to know how many Simon Says products I’ve purchased because of your cards. Needless to say today’s cards are gorgeous. Very masculine, very unique and definitely perfect for any Dad. I just love them both.
Tomorrow is your favorite day of the week so I hope you have some fun plans for tomorrow night. Not much going on here today. My girls are coming up in July so we are signing up for the Barnes and Noble Minions night of Fun. All three of us love the Minions. It’s silly but we will have a blast I”m sure. Yes, it’s Friday! I have a lot to do this weekend! I was supposed to go out but I might need to stay home and finish up some stuff. Your B&N Minions thing sounds like so much fun! I too love the Minions! It was warm here too, better than snow! Love to you! XOXO! 🙂
Cork, wood, denim, basket weave, deer die cut! Oh, wow! These are wonderful cards! The deer reminds me of the Thanksgiving deer from the old Occasions catalog, but this is a die cut — so much easier and on cork to boot! I love these new products (don’t tell SU I said so or else stimulate them to get similar products!).
Tonight I set up for my first ever rubber stamp yard sale. I will let you know how the weekend goes. My husband is also giving me outlets where he goes to sell his specialty conifers and other plants — he thinks the stamps/craftiness of cards would sell well with gardeners. My first place is an arboretum in Northern Kentucky in the fall. Excitement abounds here…
