Grateful Wintry Leaf

Well, what snow we didn’t get on Friday we certainly got yesterday! I think the final total by my house was 6 inches and further out on the Island they got up 12 inches. When I left for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store it had just started. We decided to close early so I stopped by the Post Office to drop off a bunch of packages and then headed home. The roads were terrible, it was really cold so none of the snow melted. It was like you were driving on little tiny frozen marbles! Thank god for traction control! I’ll tell you, my little car is packed full of nice surprises! The rest of my evening was spent relaxing, I did make another quick card and today I want to get some projects finished at the Store. Hopefully they will have done something with the roads by morning! 😀

As I always say I do like to stretch my stamps and use them for more than what they are intended for and I think that we could all use a little more grateful in our lives! Today’s card uses a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Authentiqe Wintery 12×12 Paper. I heat embossed the leaf from the Concord & 9th Lacy Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Liquid Platinum onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. The coordinating dies are used to cut it out along with three pieces of Black 110lb that are adhered together with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. On my strip of Kraft I stamped the greeting from the same stamp set in Onyx Black and adhered the strip over the leaf to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. All that was left to do was to adhere the grateful to the strip with Multi-Matte Medium. A nice simple card that gets stepped up by the heat embossed Vellum leaf! I hope that you like today’s card! As always, thank you for stopping by! Have a simply wonderful Sunday! 🙂

Simple Love

Happy weekend peeps! We did get the snow that they promised but it wasn’t too bad. However, we are to have some more today, between 3-6 inches. That’s too much for me! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was a good time as always. I had to run out and take a few orders to the Post Office, I made it to the little one close to me. I like that one much better! After work I headed over to Geroge’s to help him and Heather put together some new pieces of furniture for her move in! There was so much traffic on the way home, no idea why! We had Italian for dinner and I got home around 10:30. I have a little bit of a cold that I’m sure my little buddy Daniel shared with me, all I want to do is stay in bed! I’m on my own at the Store today, Renee is having Christmas with her kids and her daughter is having the big baby reveal! They will find out if it’s going to be a boy or a girl! 😀

I mentioned that I’m trying to make a lot more simple cards and today’s definitely falls in that category! I cut a heart out of a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it with Dot Runner Adhesive to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Using my Mini Ink Blending Tool I applied some Hero Arts Red Royal Ink. When I was finished I removed the heart. My greeting and little hearts are from the Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the hearts and “you so much” in more Red Royal and die cut the Love from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. All that was left to do was to adhere the Love to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Like I said… super simple, but they would make great quick Valentine’s wouldn’t you agree?! I hope that you like today’s quick and easy card! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 103

Another relatively sunny day yesterday, but windy and cold too! Snow last night, not my favorite at all! Renee had an appointment to get her hair done in the morning so I was alone for a while. Not that I mind, I usually get a lot of things accomplished including a nice long chat with Andrea via FaceTime! I worked on my card for today too, I do love to just sit and color and Lawn Fawn is perfect for that! After work I had dinner with Mum & Dad, Mum made chili and it was delicious! When I got home Taylor was asleep on the couch, she has a pretty bad cold. When she woke up we took a ride over to Roosevelt Field Mall and then stopped at Target so that she could get some medicine. Today I want to get a lot of things done at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, we’ll see how that goes! 😀

I’m having a big sale over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store for the rest of the week! Today all Lawn Fawn is 25% off! Use discount code CHANEW20174!

I think that all of the Design Team’s that I’m on are back! Today I have my card for the Fab Friday challenge…

To start my card I stamped the fairies from the Frosty Fairy Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored them in with my Copics. The Coordinating Dies are used to the cut them out. Next I stamped the birthday from the Big Scripty Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Grape Juice Ink and cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. I also cut three more from Solar White 110lb and adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To create the background I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Large Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts and used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Lawn Fawn Merman Ink to it. I placed my fairies and birthday on the panel and stamped the snowflakes from the Frosty Fairy Friends Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Peacock Ink with the greeting stamped in Juice Box. On the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Tropical Sea, Cosmic Grape, a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Winter Petite Paper Pad and on top of that my background. The fairies are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and the birthday with more Multi-Purpose Spray. I think this card would make a really fun birthday card for a little girl with a Winter birthday don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Take a quick click over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! Share your take on the sketch by adding your card to the gallery! Stellar Sparkly City

The sun finally shone yesterday, nice and bright but it was wicked windy again. They are saying that we might get snow on Friday and Saturday. Big bummer! Renee and I had another lovely day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. The construction is winding down and the leaks have finally stopped! I worked on some of my projects and so did Renee. After work I had dinner with my Parents and talked to my friend Sue for a bit. Then I straightened up the house, got to keep on top of that! LOL! A quick run to get gas and to Target and then a little TV before bed. I have heard from a few people that I need to watch This is Us. Do any of you watch it and if so what do you think? 😀

It’s day three of my big sale over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Today all Hero Arts is 25% off! Use discount code CHANEW20173!

I actually made today’s card and then looked at this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge and decided that it would work for the sketch…

My card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Kraft. From a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card Stock and Gold Mirror Card I cut out the skyline and bridge using the Hero Arts Skyline Fancy Dies. I cut the skyline apart so that it would cover the entire length of the card and adhered it with E-Z Runner, the bridge is adhered with 3m Foam Tape. My tag is a pice of Ionized Curious Metallic that I cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Tags Dies, the reinforcement is cut from Gold Glitter Card Stock. I adhered the reinforcement to the tag and then tied a piece of May Arts Natural Twine though the top. My greeting and all of the images are from the Hero Arts Hipster at Heart Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Versa-Mark and Onyx Black onto 48lb Vellum. The Onyx Black ones are heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder and the bicycle and camera are heat embossed in Gold and Silver. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out everything except the cassette tape, that’s cut out with my Scissors, and used a combination of E-Z Runner and Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered them to the tag. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto another piece of 48lb Vellum and adhered around the back of the tag. I added some 3M Foam Tape to the tag to adhere it to the card. You know how much I love a city scene card and this one may just be my favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you so much for taking some time to come by and visit! Have a super Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 225

More rain all day yesterday, again it could be snow so I won’t complain! It’s just one of those days where you just want to stay inside and watch movies curled up on the couch! But, I was at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with Renee and we did manage to have somewhat of a productive day. Two people came by to crop and I got some administrative stuff done and made my card for today. After work I came home and played with Daniel who has a really bad cold, poor little guy with his runny nose. We sat on the couch and I read a book to him, had dinner and then I came home for a bit before going over to see George and Heather. We watched a little TV and picked on Heather, always a good time! Today I have a more projects to work on, hopefully the rain will have stopped! 🙂

I’m having a big sale over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store for the rest of the week! Today all Concord & 9th is 25% off! Use discount code CHANEW20172!

It’s Wednesday and we are back after a little hiatus with the first Paper Craft Crew sketch of the year…

My cards have been really bright, I guess I’m wishing for Spring to get here quick and today’s card is no exception! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Lemon Sorbet. I used the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Dies to cut out the negative from a piece of Solar White 80lb and a piece of Photoplay Summer Dreams 12×12 Paper. Another piece of Solar White 80lb, the same size, is placed in the MISTI and I lined up the large popsicle stamp from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Tide Pool for the solid image and the lines. I adhered the Patterned Paper to the White, adding a piece of Washi Tape down the right side and a piece of Acetate to the back before adding some foam tape to create my well for my Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins. The stamped piece is adhered to the well and then to the card with E-Z Runner. Two more popsicles are stamped in Grape Juice and Lime Green and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I also cut out the popsicle stick from Solar White 80lb and colored in all of the sticks with Copics. My greeting is also from the Sweet & Cool Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. Like I said, I’m really loving the bright colors and hoping that it makes Spring come quicker! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 80 – Card Makers Choice!

Well, yesterday was definitely a Monday! When I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store I found out that we had no electricity! One thing after another! Renee and Angie were there so I decided that I would come home and work on some projects that I needed to get finished. It was a rainy day anyway and what better place to be than in the Stampin’ Galley! I did that until dinner time and then after that I came home and watched a little TV before running to Target to get a few essentials. Hopefully the power will be back on at the Store today! Who knows what’s next! 😀

I’m happy to announce that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I have been on a quest lately to come up with relatively simple cards that don’t look simple! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Basic Gray. The background is a piece of paper from the Authentique Believe 12×12 Collection. My greeting is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock and a piece of Black 110lb. The black is adhered to a piece of 48lb Vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then the Silver Glitter is adhered on top and slightly offset. Next I added a few Silver, Watermelon and Mossy Green Pretty Pink Posh Sequins. After they dried I applied a little Multi-Matte Medium behind the greeting and sequins to adhered the Vellum to the card. I think that card definitely doesn’t look simple but it really wasn’t too complicated to put together and is easily duplicated if you wanted to make a set as a gift for someone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Card Maker’s Choice Challenge! Make sure you stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s fantastic inspiration cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for visiting today! Have an exciting Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 478

Day one of 2017 done! The crop at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Scrap-A-Latte was fun! It really always amazes me how much stuff the ladies bring with them. At least two or more trips to the car to bring all of their stuff in! I do like watching all of the creativity while they work. I got my card for today done early too. Must have been all of that creativity! When I got home I had some dinner with my Parent’s, Mum made beer battered fish and chips! After dinner I watched Star Trek – Beyond and then P.S. I Love You, how’s that for both ends of the spectrum?! You have to balance all of the explosions with a little mushiness! Today, lots of projects to work on! Loves me a little craftiness! 😀

It’s the first Monday of the New Year and time for the first Mojo Monday sketch of 2107…

I was in the mood for stamping and I wanted to change it up a bit so I layered! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Kraft and Solar White 80lb and placed them in my MISTI and stamped them with the greenery from the Concord & 9th Flourish Photopolymer Stamp Set a few times with Altenew Forest Glades Crisp Ink. I added a piece of printer paper and then lined up my circle that I cut out using the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and stamped again. Next I stamped the flowers from the set in Deep Iris, Midnight Violet, Lavender Fields, Cotton Candy, Mango Smoothie and Peach Perfect Crisp Ink. The white panel is adhered to the Kraft wth E-Z Runner, I hid the adhesive for the Vellum behind the circle and the strip of Gold Glitter Card Stock that goes across the lower half of the card. My circle is then adhered with Fun Foam and more E-Z Runner. For the greeting I used the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card and two pieces of Black. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. A little cascade of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins completes the card! I do love the Flourish set and Altenew Crisp Inks, I’m also pretty happy with the way the layered look turned out! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the first Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge of 2017! Go over and check out the rest of the Team’s cards on the BLOG and we hope that you will play along by adding your card to the gallery! Thank you for coming to by to see me on the first Monday of the year! Hope it’s off to a great start! 🙂

Gold Woodgrain Red Cup Thanks

Happy 2017!! I hope that your year is off to a great start and that it will be a much more peaceful and better year for us all! I had a nice relaxing day yesterday. I cleaned a little more, I have a lot of purging to do! I crafted for a bit and then went over to play with Daniel and Tristan. Daniel’s fun for the evening was running up and down the stairs watching the time change on the clocks! I definitely got a workout with him! I watched the ball drop and then went to bed. Exciting aren’t I?! Today I’m back at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to start the year off with Renee and Angie and a little New Year’s Day crop! 😀

I’m always in need of Thank You cards and I like to try and stretch my Holiday Stamps and much as I can so I did that with today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Photoplay This Guy 12×12 Paper. My coffee cup is from the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Stamp & Die Combo. I stamped the cup in Red Royal onto Solar White 80lb and the sleeve in Onyx Black on Kraft. They are both cut out with the Coordinating Dies along with the lid which is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut and is cut from a piece of Gold Glitter Paper and two pieces of Black 110lb. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere them to each other and Multi-Matte Medium to adhere it to the circle. I used the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies to cut out a piece of Carta Bella Dots & Stripes Gold Foil Vellum. The circle is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner hidden behind the coffee cup! All that was left to do was to add some Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars! The coffee cup stamp is definitely one of my all time favorites! I hope that you enjoyed the first card for 2017! Here’s to a crafty and fun year for us all! 🙂

Bon Voyage 2016

Angie and I had a very pleasant day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and it was pretty busy too! Heather stopped by around 2:00 and I ran across the street with her to NY & Company so she could pick up a few things. After work I came home and watched a little TV, had tacos for dinner, made my card for today and watched some more TV. I don’t have any special plans for this evening so I may just watch a few movies before the ball drops. Sometimes a nice quiet evening at home is a good thing, even on New Year’s Eve! 😀

I had this image in my head of a map with planes on it so I pulled out my June My Monthly Hero Kit and made a quick card to bid farewell to 2016! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Kraft covering the front. My papers are from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers 8×8 Paper Pad. I adhered them on angles with E-Z Runner and curled up some of the corners. The planes and suitcase are cut from Real Red, Galvanized Metallic, Bermuda Bay and Kraft. They are adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape and E-Z Runner. My greeting is also from the June Kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. The June My Monthly Hero Kit is still one of my favorites and I do love a little map paper, especially when it depicts a place that I really want to go! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you for checking in one last time in 2016! I wish all of you a very happy, healthy and crafty New Year! 🙂

Leafy Love Letters

Hello my friends and welcome to the last Friday of 2016! We had rain all day yesterday but the Store was fun, Renee had her Home Decor Class and this month they painted Snowmen. I got some more of my projects finished and even made one of the cards for the January Card Class! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parent’s and then headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. We had a nice big group and I laughed so much that my stomach actually hurt. I dropped Heather off at George’s and then called it a night. Today it’s just me and Angie at the Store, Renee is spending some quality time with her grandchildren! 😀

The card that I made for the January Card Class is what I’m sharing with you today. It features some of the latest release from Lawn Fawn which sold out really quickly in the Store, I need to restock! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of Blue Mint. I used the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop – Portrait Lawn Cut to cut out a piece of Dark Molasses for the tree, Herb Garden for the back of the tree and the leaves are cut from Crisp Green. I also cut out another piece of Herb Garden with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Lawn Cut and adhered that to the background before adhering the tree with E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape. My letters and bird are from the Lawn Fawn Love Letters Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Lawn Fawn Jet Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered them to the card with more E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape. I really like the Love Letters Set, works well for a Valentine or a just because card don’t you think?! I hope that you like the first card for the January Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Thank you for taking some time to come by and see me today! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂
