Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Embossing!

Well, that was a nice Saturday! I got a few cards made in the morning and then in afternoon I headed over to my Brother’s for Tristan’s Birthday party. Lots of family and friends and of course my little Daniel. He rode all around the backyard in his Ford F-150 driving it like he’s had his license for years! LOL! Tristan was happy like she always is and wanted to be with me most of the time! She is starting to talk and will be walking very soon! I’ll share some pictures when my Brother posts them. I got to play photographer yesterday so I didn’t take any with my iPhone. This morning I think I’m going to try and tackle my top on my car. It leaked fluid out of the front and I can’t put it down anymore. My only source of happiness! LOL! 😀

Today I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge…

I do love some heat embossing and that’s all I did! To create my background I used the Concord & 9th Oh Hello Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI. For each turn I stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold, Brass, Platinum and Copper Embossing Powder. It’s then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My main greeting, also from the same stamp set is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the background and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Just three Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Gold and Rose Gold Sequins finish the card! I do love all of the metallics with the Oh Hello Turnabout, makes for a fun and interesting background! Golden Hugs – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hi all! I hope that you had a happy and safe Independence Day! I started my day yesterday by picking up my friend Chantal and heading over to Long Beach. Her Granddaughter takes surfing lessons so we went to watch. While we were there we saw a whole bunch of Dolphins in the water just off the beach. Who knew that we had Dolphins in the waters here?! You can see the kids in the water…

Before heading back Chantal and I had a nice brunch at a local restaurant. It was great to get to spend some time with her! I dropped her off and then stopped by my house before heading over to Stephanie’s for a BBQ. There were a bunch of my peeps there and we had a really nice time! Today I have some crafting to do and a lot of cleaning. 😀

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog at 11:00AM today. Be sure and stop by there too! I did another card with a bunch of layers! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Concord & 9th Select-A-Size Edge Dies to cut a piece of Lobster and Gold Mirror Card. On the Lobster I heat embossed the hugs from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The two layers are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the edge dies and the nice simple hugs greeting! Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of June! This time we ask you to create a a card with some layers!

I started my card by stamping the flower from the Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lobster Ink. I then placed a piece of 29lb Vellum over the top and stamped the second layer of the flower in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Pearl. The Coordinating Dies cut out both layers, including a little Black 110lb for the flower center, and I adhered them to each other with E-Z Runner, hiding it behind the embossing. To make the background I cut a piece of Black 110lb with the Select-A-Size Edge Dies and adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice right onto the card base. All that was left to do was to adhere the flower to the card with 3M Foam Tape! I love how the vellum softens the bold red of the flower and the funky edge offset is pretty neat too! Bright Happy Day – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Surprise! I’m back with post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on June 9th! Today I’m sharing a single layer floral card!

I started by putting my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock into my Mini MISTI and stamping the greeting from the Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set in Peacock. I left the card in the MISTI and stamped the flowers and leaves from the set in Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Grape Soda, Juice Box, Jalapeño and Noble Fir. It needed some sparkle so I added a few Shimmering Pool Jewels and Lagoon Sequins Mix from Little Things by Lucy! A nice quick simple card that you could easily make multiples of and give as a gift!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Florals!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of May! This time we ask you to create a a card with some florals on it!

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out the YOU from the card front. That lovely gold die cut at the top is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Concord & 9th Detailed Blossoms Die. The two flowers are from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Hero Arts Light to Dark Peach Ombre Ink. I cut the out with the Coordinating Dies. Next it used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some more of the Ombre Ink to a piece of Solar White 110lb and cut out the YOU and for from that. The YOU is then cut out from some more Gold Mirror Card. I closed the card and used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere all of the die cuts. I then stamped the Happy Birthday on the inside and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the front to finish the card. I LOVE That Detailed Blossoms Die, so intricate and delicate looking! Hello Lovely Butterfly – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on May 9th! Today I’m sharing another single layer card!

For my card base I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my mask I stamped the butterfly from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal in and then stamped it again onto a Post-it Note. The one on the Post-it is cut out with my Scissors and placed over the one stamped onto the card. Next I stamped the floral cluster from the Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set Again in Narwhal along with the greeting. To color the images in I used Prismacolor Pencils. I went a little darker on the butterfly to make it stand out a bit more. It needed just a little something so I added some random dots with a Gold Sign Gel Pen. These really are two of my favorite sets from Concord & 9th and I love the way the butterfly turned out!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – One Layer!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of April! This time we ask you to create a single layer card!

To start making my card I stamped the lily from the Concord & 9th Lily Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a Post-it and cut it out with my Scissors. I then prepared my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and placed it into my MISTI. The lily is stamped in the lower right, I placed the mask over that one and stamped the next one over it and repeated the process for the top one. Next I stamped the yellow centers with Sunflower Ink, again using the mask. All that was left for me to do was to add my greeting from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set. I do love a one layer card, especially with some masking. I think this would make a great card for so many different occasion, don’t you? Lucky Because…

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on April 9th!

I love the big new word dies that they came out with and isn’t it nice to remember that no matter what we have going on in our lives, I’m sure that we all can find something that makes us feel lucky! And how nice to let someone else know that we are lucky to have them!

To start my card I die cut the large lucky from the Concord & 9th Lucky Dies from a piece of Solar White 80lb paper and used some Washi Tape to hold it to a piece of Black Card Stock. I put the outline of the die back inside the negative and then sponged on some Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. After that dried I added some Mama Elephant Lemongrass Pigment Ink over the White and used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying. Here is what it looked like while I was working on it…

Next I used the Concord & 9th Lucky Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the I’m Super and Because… in Versa-Mark. I added some Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and heat set it. My black panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then die cut the thin lucky from two pieces of Lemon Lime along with some of the stars. The two luckies are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then over the sponged lucky with Multi-Matte Medium. The stars are added randomly and the card is done! I love the look of the sponged lucky with the die cut in the middle , it looks a little like neon!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Case a Designer!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of March! This time we ask you to CASE a Designer!

Just choose one of the Design Team’s cards as your inspiration and go from there! I love Lindsey’s simple Lovely Cards! You can see the original post HERE. I thought the way that she used the Hello Lovely stamp to create a subtle background was so clever! First I used the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Coordinating Butterfly Card Dies to cut out the wings, overlay and body for the butterfly. I positioned the wings in the MISTI and stamped the outline in Black Licorice and the fill-in in Juice Box. To hold them together I adhered a piece of Black behind the wings, adhered the Vellum die cut wings on top and then the body. For my card base I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I placed the folded card into my MISTI and positioned the flower cluster from the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set where I wanted it, inked it up with some Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers Ink and stamped. While the card was in the MISTI I also stamped the greeting from the Butterfly Beauty Set in Black Licorice in the lower right corner. The butterfly is adhered to the card with a 3D Foam Square. I stamped two more of the small butterflies in Ballet Slippers and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Ballerina Pink and Orchid Sequins to finish the card. Better with You… and Coffee

OMG! It feels like Winter is back! I don’t think that it got out of the teens yesterday and that wind was as strong as ever! Hey Spring, where’d ya go?! I did have a nice productive day at the Store, managed to get two cards made and survived Renee’s kids class! LOL! After work I had a quick dinner with my Parents, they were going to my Brother’s to watch Daniel and Tristan. Taylor came by and we ran a few errands. I cleaned the bathroom, Saturday night fun, and watched Sweet Home Alabama! I never realized but Reese Whitherspoon drives the same car that I have in the movie! Sunday’s are usually quiet at the Store so I’m going to try and get all caught up on my projects! 😀

Today I have my solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog and I’m sharing another card for the Love Theme Challenge that just finished! You can see my post by clicking HERE and heading over to the Design Team Blog! The post will go live at 11:00AM.

I started by heat embossing the images for the coffee cup and plate onto a piece of Kraft Card Stock with some White Embossing Powder. I do enjoy a little fussy cutting and these images are super easy to cut out. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black onto the plate. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of black and cream patterned paper for the background. I decided that it was a little too bold so I used a piece of Vellum to soften it adhering the images with Foam Tape, including a spoon that I heart embossed onto a piece of gold metallic card, to it and the hiding the adhesive behind them to hold the vellum to the card. A relatively simple card to make that will get sent to someone special just to let them know I’m thinking of them!
