Sparkly Bold Blossom

Ahh… the start of another week and new possibilities! It was a gorgeous day yesterday, I tried to get some things done in the morning but was thwarted by wanting to use a stamp set that I couldn’t find! You know when you have that idea for a card in your head and it needs to get out but you can’t find what you’re looking for! LOL! I did have a nice afternoon, Jim came by and we hung out on the couch and watched some Beach House Hunters episodes. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done and I will! No TV! ๐Ÿ˜€

My card that I have for you is a rather simple one, just dies! I started by cutting some Silver and Gold Glitter Card Stock with the Essentials By Ellen Bold Blooms Stand Alone Dies. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut it so that when I folded it it was 5 1/4″ by 3 3/4″ so I could let the die cuts hang off the edge and it would still fit in a standard envelope. A strip of Black 110lb is adhered over the flowers and leaves. My greeting is also cut from Gold Glitter Card Stock using one of the word dies from the Essentials by Ellen Zipper Panel Dies. It’s adhered to the black strip and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Silver Sequins complete the card! I do love all of the sparkle and the flowers and leaves are faves of mine! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Embossing!

Well, that was a nice Saturday! I got a few cards made in the morning and then in afternoon I headed over to my Brother’s for Tristan’s Birthday party. Lots of family and friends and of course my little Daniel. He rode all around the backyard in his Ford F-150 driving it like he’s had his license for years! LOL! Tristan was happy like she always is and wanted to be with me most of the time! She is starting to talk and will be walking very soon! I’ll share some pictures when my Brother posts them. I got to play photographer yesterday so I didn’t take any with my iPhone. This morning I think I’m going to try and tackle my top on my car. It leaked fluid out of the front and I can’t put it down anymore. My only source of happiness! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge

I do love some heat embossing and that’s all I did! To create my background I used the Concord & 9th Oh Hello Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI. For each turn I stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold, Brass, Platinum and Copper Embossing Powder. It’s then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My main greeting, also from the same stamp set is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the background and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Just three Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Gold and Rose Gold Sequins finish the card! I do love all of the metallics with the Oh Hello Turnabout, makes for a fun and interesting background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Embossing Challenge! We hope that you will play along with us and enter your card in the gallery over on the BLOG!ย Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us onย Instagramย andย Facebook! Snowy Summer Mountains

Hello and a happy Saturday to you! It rained a little here yesterday and was sunny too, just couldn’t make up it’s mind! I managed to get some crafting done in the morning and then had dinner with my Parents. Taylor came by again, I guess she really does like spending time with me, I must be a cool dad! LOL! We ran some errands and talked for a while. Today is Tristan’s first birthday party! I’ll be sure and get some pictures, even I have to steal them off of the shared album! Should be a fun time! ๐Ÿ˜€

I was missing the lake this weekend and somehow this card came out of that! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Marina Mist. I used the Hero Arts Snowy Drifts Fancy Dies to cut out two pieces of Garden Green. To give them a little more definition I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Pine Needles Distress Ink to the tops. I then heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The two pieces are then adhered to the card. That lovely frame is cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the Hero Arts Floral Border with Frame Die and is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love when you can use a winter set to make a nice summery card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I thank you for visiting and wish you a superb Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 116

It didn’t rain as much as they said that it would so needless to say I didn’t get as much done as I thought I would! Oh well, there’s always today! Jim came by around 4:00 and we got all caught up after his vacation. We ran a few errands and then went to Gino’s for dinner. I also had the pleasure of a visit from the child last night. We also ran a few errands! Hmm… maybe I did get a lot more done that I thought! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Friday peeps and it’s also a Fab Friday and we have some colors for you this time…

I have been really trying to make cards lately that don’t use a ton of supplies. We all need cards like that! This one starts off with the usual base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images and greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Many Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set right onto the card base. The flowers and leaves are stamped inย Sunkist, Goldenlocks, Hot Mama, Jellybean and High Dive. I stamped the centers of the flowers and the greeting in Black. That’s it! I love the loose florals and handwritten greeting! This would also be a great card to mass produce using your MISTI! ย I hope that you like my card for the Fab Friday color challenge! Be sure and stop by the BLOG to get some more inspiration from the rest of the Team and let’s see what you come up with, add your card to the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Freshly Made Sketches 295

The weather was very nice here again yesterday! I managed to get some cards made in the morning, cleaned the house and spent a little time outside enjoying the weather! I also ran a few errands in the evening and watched a little TV. Today I have a bunch of projects to get through, I think it’s supposed to rain so that will make it easier! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

When I saw this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge I knew just what I wanted to do…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves Die to cut a piece of Soft Sky and adhered it across the lower half of the card. The greeting is cut from Silver Glitter Card Stock using the Simon Says Stamp Painted Enjoy and Summer Dies. A little Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres them to the stamped images and three Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the card! I love the subtlety of the colors with the pop of silver! Golden Hugs – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hi all! I hope that you had a happy and safe Independence Day! I started my day yesterday by picking up my friend Chantal and heading over to Long Beach. Her Granddaughter takes surfing lessons so we went to watch. While we were there we saw a whole bunch of Dolphins in the water just off the beach. Who knew that we had Dolphins in the waters here?! You can see the kids in the water…

Before heading back Chantal and I had a nice brunch at a local restaurant. It was great to get to spend some time with her! I dropped her off and then stopped by my house before heading over to Stephanie’s for a BBQ. There were a bunch of my peeps there and we had a really nice time! Today I have some crafting to do and a lot of cleaning. ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog at 11:00AM today. On the Lobster I heat embossed the hugs from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The two layers are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the edge dies and the nice simple hugs greeting! SIP Challenge 106 – Christmas in July!

Well, that was a nice long day in the city! I got in around 9:00 and headed up to the Apple Store to pick up an iMac for a friend of mine. Unfortunately it wasn’t ready, so after about four phone calls and lots of waiting I finally was able to get it at 4:00! Let me tell you, they are pretty heavy when you have to carry them for a few blocks! I made it back to the apartment seconds before the heavens opened! After I got the new one set up I had to pack up the old one and send it off to Maine. Again, heavy taking it to the UPS Store and $100 to ship it! Yikes! By the time I got home it was 8:15 so I came in and made my card for today and then I was done! LOL! This morning I’m going to pick up my friend Chantal and go and watch her granddaughter surf in over in Long Beach! Later on a BBQ at Steph’s! Happy Independence Day peeps! Fun times! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday so time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Ahh, it has been ages since I have made a Christmas card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil and Lake Shores Ink with my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some color to the card. The fun frame is the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Frames Die cut from a piece of Merman. I added Acetate to the back and some 3M Foam Tape and filled it with Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequins. The snowflake is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake Die and is adhered to the frame with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It’s been forever since I have made a shaker card and that frame die is perfect for them! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Christmas in July Challenge! We hope to see your cards in the Gallery so go over and check out the BLOG for some more inspiration! Thank you for visiting! Have a funtabulous 4th! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 351

It was a nice day here yesterday, in the high 80’s with lots of sun. I decided that it was important for me to be outside and enjoy it so I didn’t get as much done as I had wanted to but I still did manage to accomplish some things. I crafted for a bit and got a few things done on the computer. This morning I’m off to Manhattan again for the better part of the day. A nice way to start off my week! ๐Ÿ˜€

Monday and I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I began by stamping the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with some Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. My two hearts are die cut from Merman and Bluejay Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Dies. On the Merman one I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out the word YOU. The celebrate is cut from another piece of Bluejay and adhered to the heart with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I adhered the Bluejay heart to the card front with E-Z Runner and then used 3M Foam Tape to adhered to the Merman one adding the YOU back into the center. A few Pretty Pink Posh Cobalt Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice simple layout and I love the die cut YOU from the heart! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks so much for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Simple Watercolor Hello

Yesterday was another one of those I imagined I would get more done that I actually did days. I have been having way too many of those lately, that needs to change! I did run a few errands with Heather in the afternoon. She made George and I a late lunch and after that I came back home and worked on my card for today. I will definitely be more productive today! If I say it it will happen! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have another Simple Sunday card to share with you today. I started out by using my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors to add three stripes of color to a piece of Arches 140lb Cold Press Watercolor Paper. I did set it aside to dry and watched a little TV but it was getting ready to rain here so it was a little on the damp side and I grew impatient! The drying time was sped up with my Heat Tool! The flower, leaves and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Floral Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Onyx Black. I did mask the flower to get the leaves a little closer to it. All that was left to do was to use Tombo Extreme Adhesive to adhered it to a card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. A simple card that was actually inspired by a shirt that I saw in a store the other day! I hope that you like today’s Simple Sunday card! Thank you for stopping by! Have a simply wonderful Sunday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Butterfly Hello

Yay for the weekend! Yesterday was nice, I did a few things around the house. My Brother and Erika stopped by my Parent’s with the kids and we all had dinner together. After that Taylor and I ran a few errands and I spoke to my friend Greg for a while. Today I have a lot of things to get done, I will be spending a lot of time in front of the computer and then maybe squeeze in a little crafting! ๐Ÿ˜€

While I was thinking of cards to make yesterday I was looking around the Stampin’ Galley and it’s amazing how much stuff I have accumulated and not used! I’m sure that you know what I mean! LOL! So in an effort to use up some of the excess that I have I used some paper and embellishments to make my card! The base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered two pieces of paper from the My Mind’s Eye My Story 6×6 Paper Pad to my card base, the second one with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is one of the My Mind’s Eye Die Cut Journaling Cards and that is adhered with 3M Foam Tape. The little gold butterfly in the upper left is one of the My Mind’s Eye Chipboard Buttons. I tied a piece of American Crafts Black Twine into a bow before adhering it to the card. My greeting is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Black 110lb with the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Die. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. One last thing to finish the card, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins! A pretty simple card to put together and how neat to get to use some of those goodies that have been just sitting there?! I hope that you like today’s card and are inspired to use some of your collections! Thank you for stopping by and have a super Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚
