Paper Craft Crew 222

I felt a little punky yesterday, my stomach was a little off and I had a headache in the morning. I felt it coming before I left for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and as usual, I think it will get better but it didn’t until I finally broke down and took some Excedrin. Finally around 2:00 I felt better and finally got to start on some of my projects. When I got to my Parent’s I got a very nice surprise, my little buddy Daniel was there and so were Tristan, my Brother and Erika! Tristan sat with Erika while I ate dinner and she was fascinated by me for some reason! She just kept smiling and laughing. After I finished eating Daniel was ready for me to build some buildings so he could knock them down! He did share a cookie with me with Erika said he does that with no one else! It’s official, I’m the favorite! LOL! It started to rain as I made my way to my house and once inside I watched a little TV and relaxed. Today they are starting on the parking lot at the Store, that should be loads of fun! 😀

We are at mid-week so today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

pcccs222-dt-sketch-12-06-2016

My card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the front with a piece of Kraft Card Stock. Across the bottom is a piece of Authentique Classic Christmas 12×12 Paper. Down the left I flagged both ends of a piece of Black and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. For my focal point I die cut a piece of Gold Glitter Card and a piece of Ice Gold Curios Metallic using the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and adhered them to each other and then to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My ornaments are from the Hero Arts Ornaments Stamp & Cut Set, I heat embossed them in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto 48lb Vellum, cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the circles with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in more Gold onto a piece of Black with both ends flagged, it’s adhered with Black 3D Foam Squares. I have missed my sequins so I added a few Gold Pretty Pink Posh ones to finish off the card. I love the almost monochromatic look with the gold and kraft and I still think the ornaments are amazing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to visit with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 77 – A Sketch!

Well, it rained Sunday night into Monday morning so guess what I was greeted with when I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store?! Yep, a steady stream of water from the ceiling again! I guess that they never fixed it from last week and we are supposed to get more rain tomorrow night. Hopefully it will be fixed by then! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class yesterday and I worked on a few cards, I made today’s and a few Just because ones! After work as usual, I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor. I came back to my house and had a quick cup of coffee before heading over to Geroge’s to get Heather. We met Stephanie back at Heather’s and had an early Thirsty Thursday which also included a trip over to Target! I was good and only got a few necessities and some reindeer glitter! Can’t wait to use that in a shaker card! I got home around 11:00 and worked on my post before calling it a day. I’ll be flying solo at the Store today, Renee is going to spend some time with her grandsons. I have a ton of stuff to do so hopefully I will get through it! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

sip-sketch-challenge-77-800

A nice simple sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped the falling snow from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. Down the left side is a piece of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas Paper from the 6×6 Pad. My tag is a piece of Blue Mint that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Tags Lawn Cuts. I cut out another piece from Solar White 80lb and then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts and made my snowy hill for my little scene. The images are all from the Lawn Fawn Cherry Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the pieces to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a Glue Pen. Through the top of the tag I tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Twine and then used two strips of Xyron Magnetic Tape to hold the tag to the card. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Winter Big Scripty Words Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped it in Jalapeño and cut it and three more pieces of Solar White 80lb out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I used the magnet tape so that the recipient could remove the tag from the card and use it as an ornament! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the talented Design Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery to share your take on the sketch with us! Mojo Monday 477

Another nice weekend spent with some really nice people, who could ask for anything more?! The Stamp, Ink, Paper store is always so much fun when there are loads of people hanging to and being creative! People working on scrapbook pages and cards. I got to help Evelyn with her Cricut, something new for me! If it plugs in I get it! LOL! I also got my inventory completed, a very productive day! After work I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then came home and relaxed. I try to do that on Sunday nights. Today I have a lot more system stuff to do at the store and hopefully everything will be finished by Wednesday! Wish me luck! 😀

It’s Monday and time for the last Mojo Monday challenge of 2016! We will be taking a little break until January so here is the sketch…

mojo477

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the front with a piece of Herb Garden. For my background I place the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Prints Background into my MISTI and stamped in in Hero Arts Green Hills onto Solar White 80lb and Versa-Mark onto Crisp Green and then heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I then adhered the two sides, matching up the pattern, onto my card base. Across the lower half is a strip of Gold Mirror Card. My greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Lime to Forever Green Ombre Ink repeatedly onto another piece of Solar White 80lb using my MISTI again. The center one is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I backed it with some more Herb Garden and it’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To complete the card I die cut one of the snowflakes from the Hero Arts Paper Layering Snowflakes with Frames from a piece of Ice Gold Curious Metallic. It’s adhered to the card with a 3D Foam Square and in the center is a Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequin! I really do love the way the background came out and the MISTI made it so easy to do! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the last Mojo Monday Sketch of 2016! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Wam & Cozy Mittens

Crop days are always lots of fun at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Scrap-A-Latte! I love getting to see everyone! Linda, Lisette and Susan were all working on their Holiday cards! I managed to get two cards made as well! Have I mentioned the randomly flat tire that I get on my car from time to time? Well, my Dad took the tire and got it fixed yesterday morning! It turns out that there was a nail in it since probably about two weeks after I got the tires last year! Crazy that it didn’t go flat all of the time but it’s fixed now! After work I stopped by Heather’s, she was going to the Fire Department Christmas Party with Geroge and needed a little outfit advice! From there I went to my Parent’s to have dinner with them and Taylor and after that I made the mistake of turning on the TV and got sucked into two movies! I had stuff to do but today is always a good time to get that done! LOL! It’s also day two of the Crop, another fun day! 😀

One of the cards that I worked on yesterday is what I have to share with you today! The base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Tropical Sea. I stamped the mittens from the Hero Arts Holiday Mittens Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black onto some Solar White 80lb using my MISTI. Next I took the snowflakes and stamped them in Tide Pool to fill in the empty spaces around the mittens and adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The mittens are then heat embossed onto another piece of Tropical Sea with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, the string onto some Chinese Red, I die cut the one on the right along with the string and cut the one out on the left with my Scissors. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Little Messages Stamp & Cut Set and is also heat embossed in White onto Chinese Red. The mittens, string and greeting are then adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card! I was originally going to color in the mittens which is why I stamped them in Black but changed my mind and opted to make the Tropical Sea ones the focal point instead! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you so much for stopping but today! Have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Merry Holly Wreath

It was another lovely Friday! Sunny but crisp! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was productive! I got some more of my projects completed and we had some visitors too! The Novak sisters stopped in and Taylor came by to hang out and we had some Wendy’s for lunch. Angie got to the store around 4:00 to get ready for her Art Journaling Class. I noticed that my tire in the front on my car was going flat yet again so I went next door to Firestone and they put air in it for me. A little dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then I came home and worked on a little more Store stuff and watched some TV. Today is day one of the two day crop, I’ll get to see my ladies! Yay! 😀

Part of my productivity was getting a short blog post done for the Store blog! It features an amazing card by an extremely talented customer and friend! If you would like to take a look at it you can click HERE!

I had no particular post to make a card for so I just played while I was at the Store and this is what I came up with! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Kraft. I used one of the dies from the September My Monthly Hero Kit (one of my favorites so far this year!) and cut out wreaths from pieces of Lemon Lime, Crisp Green and Herb Garden Card Stock. I adhered them to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My holly, little berries and bow are from the Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut Set. I stamped the holly leaves in Green Hills and Forever Green and the berries and bow in Red Royal. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies, the little white berries are cut out first and then stamped in Soft Vanilla. I adhered them to the wreath with more Multi-Matte Medium and the holly with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is also from the Christmas Trimmings Set and is cut from a piece of Chinese Red and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. No sequins today, I wanted to keep the card simple and just focus on that gorgeous wreath! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you for coming by and have a super Saturday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 265

After a rain soaked week it was nice to see the sun yesterday! The garbage pails finally stopped filling up at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store around 12:30! So nice not to hear dripping water all day! I worked on an Ornament Class that I will be having at the store on December 12th. I’ll share the project here over the weekend so you guys can see what we are going to make too! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parents and Taylor. After dinner I stopped home quick before heading over to Heather’s. She was watching her Nephew so he was there when I got there. He is a nice quiet little boy and watched TV most of the time. Her Brother-in-Law came by to get him around 8:00 and her and I watched some TV and had a few snacks! Today I’ll be working on some more kits for the Holidays and finishing up my cards for this month’s class! I love my job! 😀

I also made my card for today while I was at the store yesterday and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

freshly-made-sketches-265

I really had fun making the Lawn Fawn Kit so I played with the stamps that I used in it again for today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables to cut out a window from a piece of Solar White 80lb and also from a piece of Fun Foam. I stamped the falling snow from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman Ink onto the panel and another piece of Solar White 80lb. To the back of the front panel I adhered a piece of Acetate and the Fun Foam. My images are from the same set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered them to the solid stamped panel with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares and then added some Crystal Coarse Glitter to the well in the front panel and adhered the back panel to it. The whole thing is then adhered to the card base. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to cut another piece of Solar White 80lb, stamped my greeting from the Lawn Fawn Merry Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman and adhered the piece to the card front with more E-Z Runner. Not an overly complicated shaker card and I do love the little penguins and snow-penguin in the set! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 323

The rain continued and so did the leaks in the ceiling at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Since a lot of the ceiling tiles have come down it was only pouring water in two places! LOL! I guess that’s better, right?! Other than the rain it was a nice day at the Store. My Parents came by for a visit and Renee had her Home Decor make up day so some ladies came in and painted their Santa pieces. I worked on some projects and made my card for today. On the way home I had stop at the DSW across the street from the Store to pick up some boots for Heather. Mum made stew for dinner, perfect for the weather that we have been having! After dinner I went over to Heather’s and gave her the boots, we ran to BJ’s and then went back to her house where she made me lunch for tomorrow! She really is very good to me! Today I want to package up my SIP Tags Kit and get a class together for a few weeks from now. Always something to do! 😀

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge from my friend Sandy…

paper-players-323

I kept my card very simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Kraft. I stamped the script stamp from the Hero Arts Vintage Post Photopolymer Stamp Set using my Mini MISTI (makes the repeat stamping so easy) in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Embossing Powder. The panel is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. Across the lower half is a piece of Chinese Red that I flagged on the left. My mistletoe is from the Hero Arts Holly Days Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, again using the MISTI so I could stamp it a few times, onto Kraft. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color it in. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to red strip with more E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with the left side flagged. I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered it over the mistletoe. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is finished! I love that Hero Arts White Satin Embossing Powder and I was inspired by the incredibly talented Stephanie Klauck to use my colored pencils on Kraft Card Stock! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge! Thanks for coming by today! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 221

Well, it rained here all day yesterday. Drizzled then poured. Since we are undergoing all of the construction at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store there have been leaks in the roof, I’m talking fill up a huge garbage pail in 4 hours! We had three going today, I emptied them before I left and I hope that it’s not so full that I’m able to empty it tomorrow! Renee had to run to DMV in the morning and then she stopped by the store to get a few things and then headed home to catch up on laundry and cleaning. It was a good day to be doing things inside! I worked on some projects and watched some YouTube videos. I need to clean and seal my convertible roof so it was a little damp in the car as I made my way home. I had dinner with my Parents and then came to my house and finished my card for today. It’s supposed to rain again today, hopefully not all day again! 😀

If it’s Wednesday then I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

pcccs221-dt-colors-11-29-2016

I combined a bunch of sets to create my card for today! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb and I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink to create my sky. Next up is a piece of Kraft that I cut out with the Hero Arts Skyline Fancy Die. Along the bottom is a piece of Black and a piece of Smoky Slate. I used a Uniball Signo White Gel Pen to add the lines in the road before adhering it to the card with E-Z Runner. The trees are from the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped them in Forever Green and then cut the out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with more E-Z Runner. The fire hydrant and taxi are from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Hero Arts Black and colored in with Copics. I used my Scissors to cut them out and adhered them to the card with Thin 3D Foam Squares. Finally my greeting is from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in the upper left with Red Royal. You know how much I love that Skyline Die and the City Adventure Set, I had to use them to make a Holiday card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! We hope to see your card in the gallery so head on over to the BLOG to get some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 76 – Embossing!

I have lots of issues this time of year choosing the right coat to wear! Today it was a little on the cool side and I just wore my Columbia Fleece, I was cold! I think I need to rethink my layers! It was good to be back at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store today. I got some of my to do list accomplished and a few projects completed. I also got a very nice surprise for lunch! Heather stopped by with Pizza! She is so good to me! It was nice to get to see her at the store and we had a nice leisurely lunch and then we ran over to the Dollar Tree so she could get some paper goods for Christmas. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s and see my little Daniel! He finished his dinner while I had mine and then we played with his train and some old wooden blocks. Every time I would build a tower he would knock it down and laugh! He really does have the best laugh! My brother took him home around 7:30 and I came home to find Taylor binging on Grey’s Anatomy. She asked if ate and I said that I had and if she wanted some food to go next door so she did. Heather came by around 7:45 to get me so I could go and run a few errands with her. We stopped at Starbucks to get my fave, a Soy Holiday Spice Flat White – No Foam. She has become as addicted to them as I am! A little Heather time is always a nice way to end the day! Today I have a lot of catching up to do at the store and I will get it done! 😀

It’s Tuesday so that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge! This week we have an Embossing Theme…

sip-any-challenge-76-800

I actually started this card a little over a week ago and finished it last night! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Lawn Fawn Blue Jay Card Stock and used the Concord & 9th Joy Die to cut out the word from the middle. After it was die cut I placed the panel in my Mini MISTI, coated it with my EK Success Powder Tool, put the letters back in and stamped it with the Joy stamp from the Concord and 9th Joy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark. Before I sprinkled on some WOW! Metallic Copper Sparkle Embossing Glitter I removed the letters so that just the outline would be embossed. White I was at it I heat embossed the to the to the world under the Joy and to the right. Next I traced the letters onto a piece of Fun Foam and cut out a rectangle with my Craft Knife. I then adhered a piece of Acetate and the Fun Foam to the back of the panel with Scor-Tape adding more Scor-Tape to the back of that. To create my twine bow I cut a piece of Solar White 110lb with my Paper Trimmer to 1/8″ and then used the bow from the Concord & 9th Mistletoe Card Frame Add-On Dies. The two pieces are coated with more Versa-Mark and sprinkled with more of the Copper Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat embossed. I used my Quickie Glue Pen to adhered the strip and a Glue Dot to adhered the bow. The well I created is filled with some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold and Cobalt Sequins and the panel is adhered to the card base. We all know how I love a shaker and how cool is that WOW! Embossing Powder, especially on the Blue Jay Card Stock?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Embossing Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the creative Design Team’s cards! We hope that you will take some time and make a card and play along with us! Thanks very much for your visit! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 322

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope that you will all be spending time with your loved ones today and eating far too much food. So much that you have to Black Friday shop online! LOL! I will be having a nice low key day at home, Taylor is going to come by for pizza and then she will be heading to work at 4:30. I did have a nice day yesterday. I went to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to wait for FedEx and UPS, they were there by 11:30! From there I stopped by my old job and visited with my friends, it was so nice to see everyone! Nancy’s nice and nephew were there too! After that I headed over to Heather’s to run a few errands with her and then came home and had dinner with my Parent’s. After that Taylor and I took a ride back over to the Store because of course I forgot the things that I wanted to take with me from the deliveries! After that we did a quick trip to Target and then I came home and made my card for today! 😀

That card that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

paper-players-322

I was very good and kept my card very CAS! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the tree in Tide Pool and Mint Julep and then heat embossed the snow layer in more Sparkle Embossing Powder. The deer is stamped in Soft Brown three times with my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My greeting is stamped in Tide Pool and all of the pieces are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares, I used the Thin 3D Foam Squares on the deer to make him look like he’s behind the tree. I do love that Sparkle Embossing Powder, it looks so much nicer in person! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving! 🙂
