    SIP Challenge 76 – Embossing!

I have lots of issues this time of year choosing the right coat to wear! Today it was a little on the cool side and I just wore my Columbia Fleece, I was cold! I think I need to rethink my layers! It was good to be back at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store today. I got some of my to do list accomplished and a few projects completed. I also got a very nice surprise for lunch! Heather stopped by with Pizza! She is so good to me! It was nice to get to see her at the store and we had a nice leisurely lunch and then we ran over to the Dollar Tree so she could get some paper goods for Christmas. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s and see my little Daniel! He finished his dinner while I had mine and then we played with his train and some old wooden blocks. Every time I would build a tower he would knock it down and laugh! He really does have the best laugh! My brother took him home around 7:30 and I came home to find Taylor binging on Grey’s Anatomy. She asked if ate and I said that I had and if she wanted some food to go next door so she did. Heather came by around 7:45 to get me so I could go and run a few errands with her. We stopped at Starbucks to get my fave, a Soy Holiday Spice Flat White – No Foam. She has become as addicted to them as I am! A little Heather time is always a nice way to end the day! Today I have a lot of catching up to do at the store and I will get it done! 😀

It’s Tuesday so that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge! This week we have an Embossing Theme…

    sip-any-challenge-76-800

I actually started this card a little over a week ago and finished it last night! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Lawn Fawn Blue Jay Card Stock and used the Concord & 9th Joy Die to cut out the word from the middle. After it was die cut I placed the panel in my Mini MISTI, coated it with my EK Success Powder Tool, put the letters back in and stamped it with the Joy stamp from the Concord and 9th Joy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark. Before I sprinkled on some WOW! Metallic Copper Sparkle Embossing Glitter I removed the letters so that just the outline would be embossed. White I was at it I heat embossed the to the to the world under the Joy and to the right. Next I traced the letters onto a piece of Fun Foam and cut out a rectangle with my Craft Knife. I then adhered a piece of Acetate and the Fun Foam to the back of the panel with Scor-Tape adding more Scor-Tape to the back of that. To create my twine bow I cut a piece of Solar White 110lb with my Paper Trimmer to 1/8″ and then used the bow from the Concord & 9th Mistletoe Card Frame Add-On Dies. The two pieces are coated with more Versa-Mark and sprinkled with more of the Copper Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat embossed. I used my Quickie Glue Pen to adhered the strip and a Glue Dot to adhered the bow. The well I created is filled with some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold and Cobalt Sequins and the panel is adhered to the card base. We all know how I love a shaker and how cool is that WOW! Embossing Powder, especially on the Blue Jay Card Stock?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Embossing Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the creative Design Team’s cards! We hope that you will take some time and make a card and play along with us! Thanks very much for your visit! Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope that you will all be spending time with your loved ones today and eating far too much food. So much that you have to Black Friday shop online! LOL! I will be having a nice low key day at home, Taylor is going to come by for pizza and then she will be heading to work at 4:30. I did have a nice day yesterday. I went to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to wait for FedEx and UPS, they were there by 11:30! From there I stopped by my old job and visited with my friends, it was so nice to see everyone! Nancy’s nice and nephew were there too! After that I headed over to Heather’s to run a few errands with her and then came home and had dinner with my Parent’s. After that Taylor and I took a ride back over to the Store because of course I forgot the things that I wanted to take with me from the deliveries! After that we did a quick trip to Target and then I came home and made my card for today! 😀

That card that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

    paper-players-322

I was very good and kept my card very CAS! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the tree in Tide Pool and Mint Julep and then heat embossed the snow layer in more Sparkle Embossing Powder. The deer is stamped in Soft Brown three times with my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My greeting is stamped in Tide Pool and all of the pieces are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares, I used the Thin 3D Foam Squares on the deer to make him look like he’s behind the tree. I do love that Sparkle Embossing Powder, it looks so much nicer in person! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving! 🙂

  • SIP Challenge 75 – Colors!

    SIP Challenge 75 – Colors!

It is way too cold here for me! I don’t think that the wind is helping much either! LOL! Oh how I miss the Summer! You know how I love my Convertible because the top goes down… well in the Winter I love it for the heated seats! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy today, Renee had her Home Decor class, I really do wish that I had joined that when it started, it’s so neat! I got to see my friend Arnise, she never makes it out of the store without coming back in! LOL! I always joke with her that third times a charm! Taylor was at my house when I got home and she is watching Grey’s Anatomy from the start. Apparently it was too good to leave to go over to my Parent’s for dinner! When I got back to my house she had finished her episode and was off. I watched a few YouTube videos and then messed around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit. Today I have a lot of things to get done at the store. We are closed on Wednesday and Thursday and Renee won’t be in on Friday. I’ll be there avoiding Black Friday shopping! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

    sip-75-color-challenge-800

I’ll admit that I had a hand in the color selection… they are some of my favorites! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Hunter Green. For the background I used the Your Next Stamp Scallop Heart Edge Die to cut out the right side of a piece of Tropical Sea. It is then heat embossed with my favorite Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. I used a piece of Post-it Tape to mask off the right side and then adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My tree is made up of all of the open hearts from the Your Next Stamp Stripe-tastic Heart Die. I cut them out of more Hunter Green and stamped all but the smallest one with the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Prints Background Stamp and Emerald Green Ink. The small heart is heat embossed in more Copper Embossing Powder five times. For the trunk I heat embossed a piece of Dark Molasses with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp and yet more Copper Embossing Powder. The trunk is adhered with E-Z Runner and the hearts are adhered with 3D Foam Squares on the bottom and E-Z Runner on top. I added the hearts cut from the border with a Quickie Glue Pen and decided the tree needed some lights so I used my Uniball Signo White Gel Pen for that. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is again heat embossed in Copper. I used one of the small heart dies to flag the ends and adhered it to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. It’s definitely a different card than I’m used to making, it almost has a country feel to it but I do like the hearts used to make the tree and of course all of the Copper embossing! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s inspiration and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to visit with me today! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

Hi there! We had another lovely day yesterday! I completely forgot that I had a haircut yesterday morning until my iPhone reminded me! After my haircut I headed over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and got busy checking in my Notions order. I received lots of fun new goodies including some Pinkfresh Studio Stamps and WOW! Embossing Powder, I can’t wait to play with that stuff! After work I came home and had a quick dinner and then Andrew came by. We continued working on our little project, hopefully we will finish on schedule! Today is the first day of this month’s Card Class featuring Concord & 9th! Looking forward to seeing my students! 😀

I have been making some kits at the Store and one of the Holiday Kits still available for purchase. I wanted to let you know about it before I offered it elsewhere! It features Lawn Fawn Stamps, Dies, Ink, Patterned Paper and an Acrylic Block. There are four examples included on a sheet in the kit and supplies to make a lot of cards! If you are interested in purchasing the kit you can click HERE. Below is a picture of the Kit including a list of all that is included!

Now on to today’s post which is for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge

    paper-players-321

My card all began with me wanting to use the new Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock with the front covered in a piece of Hunter Green. I die cut a piece of Classic Cherry with the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die. In the lower left corner I stamped the trees from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Pigment Ink and did the same for the greeting across the bottom. A piece of Acetate is adhered to the back and then I used the large open heart from the dies set to cut out a piece of Fun Foam. That is then adhered to the panel with E-Z Runner. I added my Silver Pretty Pink Posh Sequins to the card and then adhered the panel over the top. The small heart from the die set is used to cut out a piece of Silver Glitter Card and I adhered it to the center of the heart with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh Lime Sorbet Sequins adhered randomly compete the card! I think that the Heartstrings Die Cut makes it look like love is shining down on the Christmas trees! Corny I know! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you for coming by to visit me today! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 74 – CAS Christmas!

Another lovely day! I’m starting to cherish them as I know they won’t be around for much longer! The Stamp, Ink, Paper store was great! Angie was there today, she has some vacation time to use before the end of the year. We all worked on projects and had quite the productive day! I got my Concord & 9th and it’s all checked in! I did play a little with some of it, love new goodies! After work I went over to my Brother’s and met my Parents there for dinner. Daniel and I played with his new birthday presents, he showed me how they all worked. I got home around 8:00 and did some stuff around the house and watched a little HGTV. I have so much to get done this week, there really aren’t enough hours in the day! 😀

Tuesday… it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and we have a fun this week…

    sip-theme-74-800

Clean and Simple Christmas! I used a Hero Set that I have had for a while! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp in Hero Arts Soft Vanilla onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card. A strip of Champagne Curious Metallic goes down the left side. My images are from the Hero Arts Origami Holiday Stamp & Die Combo Set. They are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto more Solar White 80lb and then I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Hero Arts Soft Brown, Red Royal and Charcoal Ink over the images. They are ten cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black in the lower right corner. I decided not to add anything else to keep it very clean! I hope that you like my Design Team Card fro this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Clean and Simple Christmas challenge! Freshly Made Sketches 262

It was a seriously windy day here yesterday, especially by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Had to be gusts up to 50 MPH! I made a few cards and got some other things taken care of. My list sometimes seems to never get any shorter, but I’m sure that we all feel that way! When I got to my Parent’s house Daniel was still there! I had a quick dinner and then he and I played for a while! He has the best laugh and boundless energy! I wish he would share some of that energy with me! LOL! After my Parents left to take him home I came to my house and watched a little YouTube, Friday night fun! Today Renee has a guest at the store teaching some classes and I have my little buddy Daniel’s 3rd Birthday party! That will be loads of fun! 😀

The card that I made at the Store is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    freshly-made-sketches-262

A super simple sketch indeed! My card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background stamp onto a piece of Kraft with some Hero Arts Soft Brown Ink and the panel is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. Across the top half is a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card that I adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My card and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s Warm & Cozy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the card in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. My greeting is heat embossed onto a piece of Cosmic Grape with Hero Arts Gold Embossing powder. I cut them both out with Scissors and adhere them to the gold strip with 3D Foam Squares. A little scattering os Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Mossy Green, Raspberry and Gold Sequins Completes the card! I love that Hand Drawn Snowflakes Stamp and the simple car from the Warm & Cozy Set! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks you for taking some time out of your day to come by and see me! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

OSAT November Blog Hop – Let it Snow!

    osat-blog-hop-banner

It was a gloomy day here on Long Island yesterday, it rained on and off. They continued the construction at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store but this time it was really noisy! Hopefully it will be done soon! I worked on a few projects at the Store and my friend Dianne stopped by, always nice to see her! I went straight over to Heather’s after work. She is leaving tomorrow for Florida, there will be no Thirsty Thursday this week. We had a nice evening, got some Subway for dinner and I helped her pack. This morning I’m off to Manhattan for a bit to see Ella. We know how I enjoy a little trip into the city!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my friend Pam Staples blog, welcome! This month we have a Let it Snow theme! Not that I want it to snow at all! LOL!! I have a card and some coordinating gift tags that I made with one of my favorite Hero Arts Sets to share with you!

First up is the card! I started with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and added a piece of Echo Park This & That 12×12 Paper for my background. I stamped the coffee cup from the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags & Dies Combo in Lime Green using my Mini MISTI to stamp it twice. The whipped cream is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Puff Embossing powder and then the cup and cream are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My mittens and greeting are from the Hero Arts Christmas Mittens Stamp & Die Combo and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out the mittens and flagged the left side of the greeting banner. They are all adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I added just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and a Gold Heat Embossed holly bunch to the coffee cup and the card is done! I do love that Coffee Cup Set… hmmm… might have something to do with my obsession with coffee?! 😀

    osat-november-blog-hop-card-wm

Next I have three gift tags. They were super easy to make especially since I stamped them at the same time I stamped the pieces for the card! The sleeve and to and from are stamped in Red Royal. I punched a hole in the left side and added some Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Single Cord Lawn Trimmings. For a little extra something I heat embossed one of the snowflakes from the Holiday Mittens Stamp & Die Combo in Hero Arts White Puff Embossing Powder and cut it out with the Coordinating Die. They are adhered to the tags with 3D Foam Squares. Quick and easy Holiday tags, way better than store bought!

You can click on the continue button below to start the tour from the beginning and you will see what the talented Anna Smith has come up with!! Paper Craft Crew 218

I had a very nice day yesterday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was a good time! I managed to get two cards made, run some errands and place some much needed orders! I snuck out a little early so that I could get to see Daniel before he went home. We had dinner together, he’s a slow eater, especially when he’s watching his hiPad! We played for a bit and then Andrew came over for a visit. He is helping me with a little project related to the store. Hopefully we will have it finished in a week or two! I’m excited to share with you what we are up to! After Andrew left I went over and met Heather and we stopped by Geroge’s and then picked up a few things at Target. When we got back to her house she made some fried green tomatoes and they were delicious! I had a bunch of things to do when I got home so by the time I made it into bed it was after 12:30. Today is a busy day here on the blog, I have the Paper Craft Crew post which you are reading now and at 11:00 I will have my post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge, so be sure to come back for that one too!

Speaking of the Paper Craft Crew we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe board for you this week…

    pcccs218-dt-tic-tac-toe-11-09-2016

To start off today’s card I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Soft Purple and Tide Pool Ink to it. I then die cut the Hero Arts Jar Frame Cuts from it and stamped the snowflakes from the Hero Arts Wintertime Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Tide Pool. Across the bottom is a piece of Kaiser Craft Mademoiselle 12×12 Paper with the bottom of the jar cut from it. I adhered it to the panel and then adhered a piece of Acetate to the back. On the jar that I die cut I stamped the jar in Tide Pool and the images from the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set. The snow is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, the house is stamped in Soft Brown and the tree in Green Hills. Next up I die cut the Jar from two pieces of Fun Foam and adhered them to each other and the a card base of Solar White 110lb with E-Z Runner and E-Z Runner Micro. I added a piece of American Crafts Powder Glitter Tape down the right side. The stamped jar is then adhered inside the well and some Iridescent Seed Beads and Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins are added before adhering the panel to the card. Last but not least I stamped my greeting in Cup O Joe, it’s from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. I still love that Winter Scene Set, the jar definitely makes a fun shaker! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery after getting some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thank you for coming by this morning, I hope to see you back here a little later on for my second post! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

    Mojo Monday 473

Another weekend done! I enjoyed mine and hope that you all did too! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was fun for day two of the crop. I really do enjoy spending time with everyone! My friend Sandy came by to visit me, love when she pops in! I have some serious ordering to do today, need to get things restocked. I’m also working on a bunch of kits as a trial. They will be very limited edition to start and depending on how they do there will be many more (hopefully!)! After work I enjoyed a little time with my Parents and then came home and straightened up. Andrew’s Mum stopped by to pick up two thank you cards that she had asked me to make. We had a nice little visit, she’s such a sweet lady! I also got to see Taylor briefly, nice to know that she’s still around! We are to have nice weather here all week, cool but sunny! I can deal with that! 😀

It’s Monday so we are starting the week off here on the blog with a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

    mojo473

You know how I love my non-traditional Holiday cards, well I like to think of this one as Christmas in Key West! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a piece of Carta Bella Beach Day Surf Shop 12×12 Paper for my background and across the lower half is a piece of Candied Yam. My panel is a piece of Mosaic Blue that I heat embossed my greeting from the Lawn Fawn Merry Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I backed it with a piece of Silver Glitter Paper and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The cute Christmas bulbs are cut out with the Lawn Fawn String of Lights Lawn Cuts. I cut the backers from Solar White 80lb and the fronts from Tropical Sea, Candied Yam, Lemon Lime, Classic Cherry and Lemon Sorbet. The tops are cut from more Silver Glitter Paper. I adhered all of the pieces together and then adhered them to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A piece of Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle Single Cord Lawn Trimmings is threaded through them and the ends are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. For a little sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze, Tangerine, Lime Sorbet, Raspberry, Lemon, Cobalt and Silver Sequins. When I look at this card I see a string of lights on a little beach shack, see why I said Christmas in Key West?! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see your take in the gallery! I thank you so much for starting your week off here, with me! Holly Day Ornaments

What a super busy day I had at the stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! The ladies were there for the crop and a bunch of them decided that they would make cards. I demoed the MISIT and helped them out with some Altenew and Concord & 9th Stamps. I also snipped dies apart and played with Evelyn’s new Gemini Die Cutting Machine. Renee’s daughter Krista stopped by to make some things for a Bridal Shower that she is a part of next week. I helped her with the cards and Renee helped her with the Bridal Bingo. After work I came home and met my Parents and we went to Applebee’s for dinner. When I got back to the house I watched a little TV and then called it night. Today is day 2 of the crop… more fun ahead! 😀

For today’s craftiness, I have a relatively simple card that I made using some Hero Arts sets! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the pine branches from the Hero Arts Happy Holly Days Photopolymer Stamp Set in Green Hills and Forever Green directly onto the card front. My ornaments are from the Hero Arts Ornaments Stamp & Die Combo, I stamped them in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto some Arches 140lb Watercolor Card. They are colored in with Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed and Wilted Violet Distress Inks and an Aquawash Waterbrush. After they dried I cut them out with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Before I adhered my Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst, Lemon and Sea Breeze Sequins I stamped my greeting in the lower left from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Intense Black and the card is finished! I love the ornaments, especially “watercolored”! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for your visit! Have a simple Sunday! 🙂
