Paper Craft Crew 122

And it rained and was windy all day just like they said it would be! We got our Nor-Easter but again, at least it wasn’t snow! There was some flooding and a few tree limbs down here and there but not too bad. Work promises to be quite busy for the next few weeks, they do like to leave everything until the last possible second which makes me happy on a level that I am unable to describe! LOL! Last night I got to see little Daniel, his head is healing nicely and just for fun he has added another bruise right in the middle. We need to work on actually looking where we are going next! I got my 23 lb. box of pre-order goodies from Stampin’ Up! yesterday so I immediately had to play as soon as I got home! I did make a card and I will give you a little peek at it but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see the whole thing! Here it is…

Watercolor Butterfly Basics Peek-WM

It uses the new Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set and Butterfly Thinlits. I love the elements in the set and I can see that it will become a favorite! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see the whole card! Now on to toady’s post. It’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS122 Sketch 12-10-2014

This was one of those times that I knew exactly what I was going to use! The base of the card is Basic Black Card Stock. For the background I embossed a piece of Real Red with the Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the top and the bottom is a piece of paper from the Flashback Designer Series Paper Pack. I adhered a piece of Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon across the middle to hide the seam and then adhered the background to the card with SNAIL. My greeting is from the From My Heart Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits. I adhered two flagged pieces, one Basic Black and the other Lost Lagoon behind it and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The 2 is from the Postage Due Stamp Set and is stamped in Lost Lagoon and punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch. To complete the card I adhered one of the small Silver Basic Metal Buttons with a glue dot. A little bit of an unexpected color combo but I think it works pretty well! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. There is more inspiration for you over on the BLOG so be sure and stop by. Thank you for paying me a visit today and I’ll see you back here tomorrow for your look at the full card made with products from the 2015 Occasions Catalog! Have a wonderful Wednesday peeps! 🙂

  1. 23 POUNDS? Man, Justin, you must have ordered everything in that catalogue! Either that or there was way too much of that screwed up brown paper they pack in there, Lol! When will the catalogue be available online so I can have a look? I can’t wait to see the rest of that card… I’m intrigued! The next card is beautiful, the colours are gorgeous together – love it! Great job, again! 😀

    1. LOL! Yes Kelly! It’s like a new baby! LOL! I didn’t order everything, just the necessities! Unfortunately they use bubble wrap now, I miss the brown paper. You can see the catalog on-line January 5th. Seems like forever but it will be here before you know it! I thought a little tease would be fun! 🙂

    1. Thank you Michael! Yes, I did forget to tell people that about 2-3 lbs of the order was yours! He he! 🙂

  2. Oh my goodness! I am such a butterfly freak and you are killing me with your sneak peak! I really like your two cents worth today! Your layout is as attractive as ever! I want to thank you for individual replies to our comments. I am sure it is time-consuming but I know you love to do it. You are a very nice person and I would so like to meet you some day when our stars align. Give little Daniel a hug for me and give big Andrew a hug for me too! Oh, give yourself a hug for me too…Nancy B

    1. LOL! Sorry Nancy! It’s will be up this morning! Thank you! You take the time to leave the comment the least I can do is reply! Plus I love our little conversations! I would love to meet you too! I will send hugs all around from you!! And a big hug back from all of us! 🙂

  3. Good Morning Justin, Hump Day! I’m back in control! Daughter is doing great. Rain stopped, and yes, thank God it wasn’t snow. I love this saying so much. I just ordered the Mosaic E.F. yesterday and I love the framelit with it. I love the 2 cents worth . . . of inspiration too. The colors are also very nice. I love it all.
    🙂

    1. Hello Nancy!
I’m happy to hear that your daughter is doing well! So happy that you enjoyed the card! That set is one of my favorites, great greetings in it! 🙂

  4. Are you serious Justin? 23 lbs? Even if half of it was Michael’s that’s still a lot of good stuff! I can’t wait to see what new goodies are available in the new catalog. Meanwhile you are still making fantastic cards with things we are familiar with. Have fun with your new “toys”. Maybe you should have waited to open the box until Christmas? LOL Just kidding, who could possibly let it sit there that long?

It’s rainy and windy and cold here in mid coast Maine today. We have been freezing our buns off for what seems like forever lately. The weather people tell us that this weekend it will be in the 40’s so we will have a respite before the next deep freeze. I love the cold weather but not the ice! LOL

Have yourself a wicked wonderful Wednesday and yes, tell Andrew it’s time to take a break from studying and make us a card! Hugs. 🙂

    1. LOL! Yes Grace! So around 2l lbs was mine! The new catalog is packed with fun new stuff! I could have never waited to open the box, I even pay for rush shipping! LOL!
We had a day of nasty weather, it rained all day and then changed to snow around 2:30. Thankfully not much stuck to the ground! I am still not a fan of the winter at all.
I had a good Wednesday, I will let Andrew know!! Hugs to you! 🙂

  5. Hi Justin! First off…I thought I ordered a lot but my order was only 16 lbs….my goodness! Anyhow…can’t wait for the rest of the card. I did order those butterfly framelits so can’t wait to see what you did with those! Love your card for today…I love the touches of Lost Lagoon with the black and red. I didn’t recognize your DSP either…guess that means I have too.much.stuff! 😉 Hope your Wednesday is going good!

    1. LOL! 16 lbs is still a lot! I hope that the rest of the card is worth the wait! I put some vellum behind the butterfly! I think that we all have too much stuff, but it’s so much fun so it’s all good! I had a good day and hope that you did too! 🙂

  6. Love your classic design mixed with your humor! *So* clever and delightful, Justin!

23 lbs!!! That’s a boat-load of stuff. I’m looking forward to seeing all of your creations with all of those goodies.

    1. LOL! Thank you El! Yes, it was a lot and as you can see I have been having lots of fun playing! 🙂
