Mojo 392

Yes, it’s Friday, my all time favorite day of the week! I had a hectic day at work yesterday, I was running around all over the place! But it does make the day fly by! I cam home last night and worked on some projects and spoke to Andrea and Eva vis Skype. A relatively quiet evening, not the norm but certainly welcome. I pre-ordered my Apple Watch this morning! Can you believe that it won’t ship until June?!?! That is just crazy! I’m sure that it will be amazing just like all of their other products! What about you? Are any of you thinking about getting one? I’ll have a full review once I did get mine don’t you worry! LOL!

My card that I have for you for today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo392

I have wanted the set that I used on today’s card for a while and just kept on forgetting to order it but I finally remembered! My card base is Whisper White Cards Stock. I covered the entire front with a piece of Sahara Sand. For the background I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Whisper White and I backed it with some fun foam and adhered it to the card. The strip down the right side is a piece of Brushed Gold Metallic Card Stock with a piece of paper from the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper Pack. My two angled strips are also Sahara Sand and are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the wreath and the greeting from the Your Perfect Day Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark on Vellum and heat embossed them with Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles are used to cut them out. The wreath is adhered with 2-Way Glue and the greeting with Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. Three Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card. I love the simplicity and subtle colors, this would definitely make a perfect wedding card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Thanks, as always for stopping by and have an absolutely fantastic Friday! 🙂

  1. Happy Friday Justin, love your elegant card, beautiful wedding card. I had an email this morning about the Apple watch pre-order and I knew you would have already put in your order. Time flies (pun intented) so June will be here before you know it. Have a great weekend.

    1. It was a good Friday Janell! Thank you! LOL! You know me well! I can;t believe that I have to wait until June!! I hope that you have a great weekend! 🙂

  2. Oh my Justin, Oh my! I do believe this is the most formal and elegant wedding card I have ever laid eyes on. I’m not sure how to even describe it. The circle wreath reminds me of a wedding ring and the wedding ring intimates never ending which is supposed to represent love and devotion. Of course the stitched Simon Says rectangle and circles really do make this statement of love look as beautiful as it should. This card would surely be a treasure to the couple that was lucky enough to receive it.

You make me laugh Justin! Always with the latest technology. So, what will you do with the watch you have when the new Apple one comes in June? I had a bit of difficulty when I locked into my new cell phone contract because I wanted a new flip phone. Honestly, you should have seen the clerks face when I told him that’s what I wanted! That alone was hysterical. Anywhooooo – he dug around and found one but asked me about 10 times if I was sure that’s what I wanted. I told him that unless he was willing to come to my house and give me lessons with that flat phone that you pushed things around with your fingers, yes – I wanted the flip phone. Honestly, I know I need to learn newer technology because this Windows 7 operating system won’t be around forever but I keep putting it off until someone with lots and lots and lots of patience is willing to teach me. In the same token I don’t want to be come addicted to my phone as so many people I know are. I see their life is looking at their phone every 5 seconds. No thanks, I want to be able to get my groceries without sticking a phone in my ear. Boy, I sure am sounding old and crotchety and I’ve gotten way off base here. Sorry.

I hope you enjoy a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend. When is Daniel and company returning? Hugs from Maine where it is cloudy and yukky today! Love ya 🙂

    1. Why thank you so much Grace! I really do love your descriptions of the cards! They take them to a whole different level!
I am a bit of a technology junkie for sure! I can’t wait to get the watch, it’s going to be so cool! I think that it’s nice that you still like your flip phone but you are missing out on so much! If I lived closer to you Grace you too would have an iPhone and be an expert user! If I can teach my parents I can teach anyone! I don’t see anything wrong with wanting to not be addicted to your phone, people choose to be! I am so connected and use my iPhone for just about everything! I think it’s good that you don’t!
I had a very nice Friday and it’s 50 degrees here this morning! I think that Daniel comes back tomorrow. I hope that you have a lovely weekend! Hope that the sun shines for you today too! Love you!! XOXOXO 🙂

  3. Hi there Justin and a very happy Friday to you! It is the best day of the week, isn’t it? Your card is sooo elegant today. I just love it! I love everything about it! I thought you’d probably get in on the pre-order for the watch. I’m not that good with technology…I never jump into anything right away—I have to let it sink in a bit. I think I was one of the last people I know (with the exception of Grace ) 😉 to get a smart phone. But now, I wouldn’t be without it. I’ll wait for your reviews (and tutorials!) on the watch! Have a wonderful day Justin!

    1. Hi Karen! Yes, You know how much I love Friday! Thank you! I’m a little bummed that I have to wait so long to get the watch! I am happy to say that my parent’s have had iPhones for a while now and use them quite well! They love them for the Photostream, so they can see pictures of Daniel! I will be sure an let you know how the watch is and yes, even a few tutorials! I hope that you had a nice day! 🙂

  4. beautiful card, I have been eyeing up that set as well, love the wreath in it. Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Thank you Lynne! Yes, I got the set just for the wreath! Enjoy your weekend too! 🙂

  5. WOW! Beautiful, wedding, anniversary, engagement, perfect for any of the above. Love the subtle colors and of course the gold embossing pops.

I am so glad its Friday, especially after yesterdays weather. There of my nurses families lost everything in the tornado. My admin assistant was spared by 2 miles. I only had the black sky and errie silence. I am very blessed. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks you Linda! I do like the simplicity of the card and yes, it would work for any of those occasions!
I couldn’t believe that weather! I’m so sorry to hear that your friends were affected. I am happy that you are ok! You have a good and safe weekend! 🙂

  6. Justin, your card has a timeless elegance to it. I really like Grace’s description of the never-ending love and devotion circle, well said Grace!! 🙂 The gorgeous gold stripe and the gold sequins really give a subtle pop. I really need to case this card, Fab-u-lous!! 😀

Linda, I’m so very sorry for your friends losses with the tornadoes yesterday. My prayers are with them and all who will be recovering from this. Take care!

    1. Thanks so much Jill! Grace does have a way with words! I should send her the cards first to help with the blog post!
Yes, Linda, you are in our thoughts! 🙂

  7. Hey Justin! Stunning card for today! Just beautiful, I love the subtle colours, very classy! I have had a big week, I quit my job on Thursday. Wasn’t planning to, but sometimes enough is enough right!?! Bit of a scary move, but we (my husband and family) feel I’ve done the right thing, and I have my life back! And some time to stamp 😉 I will still be working, as I had 2 jobs, and I LOVE the job I still have (in admin at our church). So I am actually really happy. I have been dropping in to see your cards, and keep up with your news! How exciting about your watch, bummer you have to wait so long for it though… Hope the rest of your Friday was great, mine was – I had the day off, LOL! Cheers and hugs to you, my friend on the other side of the world XOXO 🙂

    1. Hello Kelly!
Thanks very much! Yes, the card is nice and subtle but the gold gives it just enough oomph! WOW! Good for you! I wish I could quit my job sometimes! LOL! I have had enough many times! I’m happy that you had the option to do so! It’s very important to be happy in your work! I am really bummed about how long I have to wait to get the watch! Apple always does that! Pests! My Friday was pretty good, I’m happy that yours and quite jealous! LOL! Love and hugs to you my friend!! XOXOXO 🙂

  8. Justin,
This is such an elegant card!!! Gold embossing always takes a card up a notch. Just love what you did with this sketch. Hmmm, I’m going to a bridal shower tomorrow and wanted to make some thank you cards to throw in with the gift. You’ve just inspired me. Thanks!!
