Hello my peeps and a very happy Thursday to you! Today I’m participating in the third blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. The focus this month is using a monochromatic color scheme! I went with Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Brushed Silver. If you have arrived here from Eva Bussom’s blog, welcome! Eva always has some great stuff. I have two cards for you today, both with a wedding theme, yup still a little stuck on that!
My first card has lots of shine! The base for the card is Neenah Solar White 110lb. For my background I adhered a piece of Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum over a piece of Basic Black and then adhered it to the base. The tag is a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Dies and heat embossed with the falling dots from the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Photopolymer Stamp Set in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I cut out some Brushed Silver Metallic with the Simon Says Stamp Ariana Wreath and adhered it to the tag with some Ranger Multi-Medium Matte. On top of that is a butterfly that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Butterflies Dies from a piece of the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum from Sale-A-Bration. On top of that is the greeting that is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Smoky Slate and cut out with another die from the Butterflies Set. A piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine is tied though the top of the tag and some SNAIL and Fun Foam adhere it to the card. And lets face it, it wouldn’t be complete without a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the butterfly cut from the Designer Vellum and the silver dots on the tag!
My second card is fun and simple! The base again is Neenah Solar White 110lb. I used a stamp from the Simon Says Stamp Warm Winter Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set and some Post-It Tape to create the stripes along the bottom of the base. The background is a piece of Basic Gray that is embossed with the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used some Vellum and the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Photopolymer Stamp Set to heat emboss the greeting in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The sides are folded and adhered to the back of the Basic Gray, with a little extra to pop it up a bit. My flowers are from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Smoky Slate and cut out with the coordinating Simon Says Stamp 2 Flowers and 2 Leaves Dies. The middles are heat embossed with more Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and they are adhered along the bottom of the background with Foam Tape. Again, some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins randomly adhered around the greeting complete the card. I absolutely love the handwritten feel to the greeting and the stripes stamp makes a really great add on to any card!
And there you have my two cards for the OSAT Monochromatic Blog Hop! I hope that you enjoyed them and are inspired to make some monochromatic cards yourself! You can click on the button below to continue on with the tour and you will go to my awesome friend Andrea Tracy-Tucker’s blog! Loved her projects especially the card! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

Love, love, love your projects!
Thank you very much Debra! 🙂
Oh my Justin – again these striking wedding cards are amazing. I love the way you adhere the hemp twine just perfectly to the first card. Isn’t that silver EP just yummy! These cards are so beautiful and unique that the bride and groom will treasure them forever, I know I would.
I hope your class goes well at Stamp a Latte! I cannot believe how large it is. Our classes were always limited to six and 29 – wow – how are you ever going to get through that many? Are they all experience stampers or what? I’m sure you and Taylor can handle it and manage to have a great time doing it.
My last post before taking off. I’ll miss your blog every day. Luv and hugs! XO 🙂 Oh – Have a Terrific Thursday!
Thank you very much Grace! I really like that hemp twine, it holds it’s shape really well and yes, the silver EP is great! I still don’t know what’s with the wedding kick lately! LOL!
The first nights class was great! It was good that they were broken up into two nights, over 20 would be hard to do in a night! They all have some experience, but I am going to start techniques classes too! Taylor is a huge help and I’m so glad to have her there with me!
I hope that you have an amazing trip! You will be missed greatly here! Love and hugs to you!! XOXOXO 🙂
Love the cards!
Thanks Eva! 🙂
Stunning card creations! Love the clean look.

Hey Justin, what beautiful cards these both are! Great job again 🙂 I have had a busy week, started my new job yesterday, and it was great! Still dropping in to catch up on your stampin goodies – love the photo of Daniel helping his Dad fix the house, too cute! It’s Friday morning here, the weekend is coming! Hope you have a great day Justin xoxo 🙂
Hello Kelly!

You made my heart skip a beat. You can go ahead and send this to me 15 years ahead of time of my 20 year anniversary. LOL

Thank you so much Linda! Class was great! Now to get ready for round two! 🙂
Justin,
LOVE silver embossing! Both cards are beautiful!!
Thank you so much Gerri! 🙂
WOW! Both cards are stunning, Justin! When I first saw that hemp twine, curled so perfectly, I thought “now how did Justin make butterfly antennae with that”? If you moved it down just a tad lower on its body, it would be perfect for those little antennae! I love the silver embossing and your use of vellum in both projects is great. Too bad I’m already married; otherwise I’d be telling you I would love to receive these cards too! 🙂
Yay! Thanks so much Bobbi! It’s so funny that you say that about the twine!!! I was thinking butterfly antennae when I was putting it on! I’m so happy that you liked the card! 🙂
Love these cards Justin! You rock at wedding cards!!
Thank you very much Holly! 🙂
