Paper Craft Crew 226

Hello my friends! Still not feeling great but this too shall pass. It is making it hard to get my projects finished but they will still be there waiting. I had another quick day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I got my card made and a few other things done but I left around 3:30 and came straight home and took a nap. I’m good for a few hours and then I get really tired. The rest of my evening after dinner was pretty boring. I can’t wait for this cold to be done! πŸ˜€

We are at the mid-way point in the week so it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I needed a nice Spring like card to brighten my mood so I took the Hero Arts Color Layering Large Orchid Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped the orchids in Soft Vanilla, Passion Flower, Grape Juice and Butter Bar using my Mini MISTI. The buds are stamped in Passion Flower and Grape Juice and the stemΒ in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out and then adhered them to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 3 3/4″ wide, letting them hang off the left side. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Grape Juice. I added a bunch of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst, Orchid, and Mossy Green Sequins. Love the Orchids in the purple with the vanilla base! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me and thank you for all of your well wishes! Have a magical Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Sorry to hear that you aren’t feeling well. I’m just getting over a bad cold too! At first I took Emergen-C and thought I beat it but the 1-2 punch was powerful and it really knocked me out. Hope you are on the other side of things now. Apparently, your cold hasn’t affected your creativity, though! This card is gorgeous! I love how you used soft vanilla on the first layer!

    1. I’m hating the cold but again I shouldn’t complain, first time I’ve been sick in forever! I am taking Echinacea and Vitamin C in large amounts! Being creative helps too! Glad that you enjoyed the card! Hope you are feeling better! πŸ™‚

  2. I am sorry you are “under the weather” as I know how much you “love” rain, snow, and cold! At least your creative gene is still intact. I love the vanilla and the range of purples. I especially like the colors of the sequins. Good job!
After I recover from my surgery and am stamping again, I certainly want to explore your store’s website! You are your own best sales representative!
Get well soon! Hugs from afar, Nancy B

    1. Thanks Nancy! I’ll be fine in a few days. Happy that you like the card!
I hope that your recovery is quick! I’ll be sending healing thoughts your way! Big hugs from NY!! XO πŸ™‚

  3. A very, very beautiful card today Justin. Evidently being ill doesn’t affect your artistic talents. Since I love purple and lilac and anything with a purple accent I naturally fell in love with this card. As much as I love the colors though, that isn’t what got me the most – it’s the overlapping dimension. Just gorgeous and so perfectly placed with the absolute perfect amount of white space.

No electricity here again when we woke up this morning. It just came back on. Still feeling like a wet dish rag but the hubs is doing a lot better. He wasn’t thrilled at waking up to a very cold house and having to truck out to the garage and set up the generator first thing but ya’ gotta’ do what ya’ gotta’ do. You take care, get lots of rest and bet better. Hugs from the North Country – XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Grace! It helps to create when I don’t feel good, gets my mind off of it! I like the flowers hanging off the side of the card, makes it a little different!
There are perks and downsides to everything! Hopefully you are on the way to feeling much better! Hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. Justin,

  5. Beautiful! these orchids are gorgeous. Good thing that being sick dies not hamper your creativity!
