Happy mid-week peeps! Mum’s surgery went well. She is in a little bit of pain but that’s to be expected with a double knee replacement. She is not happy that she has to be there until Friday either! I think if they would have told her that she may not have agreed to the procedure! Taylor stopped by last night for a little visit. This morning I went out to breakfast with Heather and then took her to the airport. She is off to see our friend Patti in North Carolina for a few days. 😀
It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…
I started my card by stamping the brushstroke square from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set in Minty Fresh and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I used two more of the dies to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card and a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a strip of Black 110lb down the left side and stamped a greeting from the stamp set in Black Licorice in the lower right. My stamped panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added the flower and leaves with a Mini Glue Dot and then used another to add a pearl to the center of the flower. A nice simple card because… well just because! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you for visiting me today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

So glad your Mom’s surgery went well. My dad had one knee done and refused to get the second done, perhaps that’s why the surgeon did both! It is painful, encourage her to do the physiotherapy, will help. Love the card, CAS, so pretty.
Nice card, Justin. The one word greeting says it all. Good luck to your mum. I agree with Lynne that physical therapy is very important to how she will recover from the surgery. One thing my mother found out when she had her knee replacement was to take a pain pill 1 hour before the therapy to help her relax a little, so more intense therapy could take place. That’s what helps get the strength and flexibility back in the knee. It’s not easy, but most important.
Both knees? Same time? Bless her!??
Very pretty, Justin! (This is *way* late, but I hope your Mom’s surgery has been successful.)
