Today’s the day, kids! My post is extra early this morning because I am off to the airport. If all goes well, I’ll be in Houston before the afternoon. My awesome friend Andrew has volunteered to take me to the airport at the ungodly hour of 4:45 AM. I will certainly owe big time for this one! I’m looking forward to seeing my buddy Brian and hopefully getting to see some of you as well! Don’t fret, even though I’ll be away, I’ll still have a post going up every morning. In addition, there will be some pictures from Leadership.
It’s Wednesday, so that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. We have a nice simple sketch for you this week…
My card starts off with a base of Blushing Bride Card Stock. On top of that is a piece of High Tide Designer Series Paper for the background. My stamped images are from the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set. The poppy is stamped in Smoky Slate and the watercolor blotch is stamped in Blushing Bride. My greeting comes from the Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I used the Banners Framelits Dies to cut it out and backed it with a piece of Blushing Bride that I trimmed myself. Behind it I tucked a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. And three Basic Jewel Rhinestones finish off the card. I like the color combination, it’s nice and soft. And the Glimmer Paper and rhinestones add just the right amount of sparkle.
