Still waiting for the warm up! It was 20 degrees here for most of the day yesterday, too cold! I did manage to get a bunch of crafting done. I played around with inks and water and made some backgrounds for upcoming cards, and a mess while I was at it! LOL! If you follow me on Instagram I posted a picture of some of the ones that I did. I snuck in a movie yesterday afternoon, I watched Lucy with Scarlett Johansson. It was ok, not the best one that I have seen lately! Last night I went out with Anthony and Bill to see our friend Shane sing again at the View. It’s nice to sit at the bar and have a drink and listen to live music. It’s also fun to people watch! LOL! I went outside for a minute and took this picture of the dock. Notice the frozen water!
I thought that the lighting was pretty cool though and you can even see across the water way in the background some lights from the houses, I think from Fire Island.
One of my projects that I worked on, actually while I was on Skype with my friend Eva again, is today’s card. The base is Whisper White Card Stock with a piece of paper from the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration. I took another piece of Whisper White and used some Embossing Paste with the Tim Holtz Bubble Layering Stencil for my panel. Another piece of the Best Year Ever DSP is cut out using the Gift Card Envelope and Trim Thinlits. When I put it together I tucked the right flap in and the adhered the rest of them so it’s open on the side. I tied a piece of “Vintage” Summer Starfruit Thick Baker’s Twine around it and then adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Best Day Every Photopolymer Stamp Set, also from Sale-A-Bration, and is stamped in Soft Suede and Coastal Cabana. I punched it out with the 2″ Circle punch and used some more Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold it in place. Finally, I cut out a piece of Sahara Sand with one of the elements from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and adhered it across the top of the holder with 2-Way Glue. I love the way the stencil echoes the bokeh look in the Designer Series Paper and the stamp! A fun card to use to give someone a gift card for a thank you or pretty much any other occasion! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! I thank you, as always, for coming by to visit with me and I wish you all a fun and productive (or relaxing!) Sunday! 🙂

Your picture is fantastic- great inspiration for a card. It reminds me of the harbors I used to visit around Gloucester when I was a kid.
Wow there is a lot going on with this card! I just saw a tutuorial for making modeling paste on Pinterest- looks a little too messy for me but I love the effect. This is a really creative card- thanks Justin.
Wow, Justin, I LOVE this photo. I look at it and I can feel the cold and smell the water and hear nighttime-dock sounds! It’s so very cool. Thanks for ALL your artwork you share.
Thank you very much Georgie! I love that you can get all of that from a photo! I can hear and smell all of the same things! 🙂
Justin, Great card! I love the way you used the enjoy on the gift card envelope. And that bokeh paper is just beautiful. I wish they had an entire pack with just that design in different colors. I’ve seen people make it with stamps but that’s way too much work for me. 🙂
Have a great day!
Also, that photo is really cool (no pun intended).
LOL! Thanks! It definitely was very cool! LOL! 🙂
Thank you Gerri! I love the little word dies, especially the ones in the Thinlits! I agree with you on the Bokeh paper! Love the Bokeh look! I am going to give it try with inks soon! Hope you had a nice Sunday too! 🙂
Good Morning Justin!
I don’t know what to talk about first……….O.K., I’ll go with the card. LOL I like the color combo and the fact that you have really gotten the paste process down. I never could and finally gave up and gave the paste I had away. Yes, I did take a class in it with the sales rep for the paste company and she made it seem so easy but I think I wasn’t willing to practice with it or something. Anyway, I really admire that you obviously have the technique down extremely well.
I found that there is a space between where you end your commentary and the responses begin and from the bottom of the Post Comment screen to the bottom of the page that allows the entire photo to be seen. I just love it. Of course I love Manhattan so any photos of that amazing city are like eye candy to me.
I’m glad you had fun last night and your photo of the dock is great. My first thought was I wouldn’t want to have “one too many” and take a walk on that dock or I would end up freezing my butt off when I fell in! LOL Hey, at least I can still think young right?
You have yourself a Super Sunday. My plan for the day is to do the ironing and clean up the mess I made making my Valentine’s cards. Hugs to you my friend! 🙂
Hello Grace!
Good choice! I love the Embossing Paste! It’s not too bad once you get the hang of it!
Oh, that’s good to know, I’m glad that you can see the whole picture! It’s one of my favorites that I took over the summer!
Ha ha ha! No, I was wondering how many people end up in the water after a lengthy night at the bar! LOL! Oops! You are only as young as you feel Grace, I would say that you are in your 20’s! I had a nice productive day! I hope that you got all that you wanted to accomplish done! I got more than I thought I would! Yay! Hugs back to you! XOXOXO 🙂
Love that photo! Awesome shot. Great card, Love your colors, very springy, Can you tell I’m counting down until spring? 69 days. Take care, trying to clean my scrapbook room, OMG nightmare!
Thank you Linda! I love when I get to let you see the world through my eyes! The card was fun to put together! Glad that you enjoyed it! I too am counting down the days to Spring! Well, actually until the end of the month when I will be in Florida! Yay! I need to straighten up my craft space too, too much creating to be done! LOL! 🙂
Hi Justin,
A great photo today it looks really quite serene and peaceful and I think I saw your shadow on the ice which is brilliant, very artistic! It sounds like you had a fun evening and you have a lot of talented friends.
I love all of the DSP pads and the envelope on your card is lovely really stands out.
It is pretty cold here but no snow! So I have been making my list of things I would like from the new catalogue which I got yesterday at my friends SU class. I had so much fun and love the friends I have made there which is the best thing about crafting! I like the fact that you can get the Blendabilities too in Sale-A-Bration.
Hello Michelle!
It was too nice of a view not to take a picture! I love when you can take a photo at night and the light is still good! Yes, that’s my shadow on the ice and thankfully not me! LOL! I did have a good time and that’s all that matters!
Love the gift card holder on the card, two birds with one stone! It’s really cold her and snow too! But it is the Winter so it’s to be expected! I too love all of the friends that I have made through crafting! It’s definitely the best part! 🙂
Same thing happened as before. LOL!
Enjoy rest of your weekend. Take care,
Michelle xo
LOL! Oops! Hope that you enjoyed your Sunday and that your week ahead is a good one! XOXO 🙂
Hi Justin! Hope you are having a fun day today! Love your pic…brrr…seems like most of us are experiencing these cold temps. I’m sooo ready for Spring! Love your card today! I’m getting more intrigued by the paste each time you show a beautiful creation made with it! Just not feeling like I’m ready to try that technique…just yet. But you’ve talked me into other things before! 😉 I also love the envelope on your card so you can tuck in a little something extra! So cute. The weekend sure went by fast…the bday party was a little over-shadowed by the Packer game (yay Packers!) but it was still fun! Thanks again for all of the inspiration you give us!! 😉
Hello Karen!
I did have a good productive day! Yes, it was quite chilly last night, especially by the water! I too am ready for Spring! I do love the Embossing Paste and it’s quite easy once you get the hang of it! The weekend always flies by! Glad that you had a good time at your party! Hope you had a good Sunday too! 🙂
