A very happy Wednesday to you! I’m having a wonderful time down here in Florida! Maggie and I took a little road trip to Lakeland to visit a scrapbook store called Violet’s! Over 4,100 square feet of crafty goodness! There are big rooms and little rooms filled with paper and embellishments! A whole room with rubber stamps and tons of dies and other essentials! I think that you could go in there quite a few times and still find new things! Here is a picture of the storefront and if you ever find yourself in Lakeland you must go and pay them a visit!
After the store went and had lunch at Steak ‘n Shake, Maggie had never been to one before! She said that it was quite good and loved the burger and milkshake! We came back to the hotel and met her sister-in-law Jackie and headed over to Epcot. Jackie is a Cast Member at Disney and one of the sweetest people! We wandered around through the countries and had some food and drink. A very fun way to spend an evening! Here are the three of us in front of the sphere…
Now on to today’s post! I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog with our sketch challenge for this week…
I looked at the sketch and thought that the circle would make a good place for a heart! The card begins with a base of Real Red Card Stock. My background is a piece of Basic Black, I heat embossed the stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered it to the base. A strip of Real Red goes across the middle. I used one of the dies from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to cut out the circles and then heat embossed my greeting from the Countless Sayings 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set, also in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Before I adhered the strip to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals I added two pieces of Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper punched out with the Banner Punch to the lower left. The heart is cut out from Gold Glimmer Paper using the Simon Says Stamp Sketch Heart Die and a few gold sequins sprinkled around complete the card. I really do love that Sketch Heart Die, especially cut from our Gold Glimmer Paper! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Take a minute to stop by the blog and check out the other designers projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to hear about my goings on and I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

It is so much fun to see people outside in t-shirts. It’s 12 degrees here! The fire in the fireplace is lovely and HOT, but it’s a lot of work to keep it stoked and bring wood in all the time. I am so looking forward to spring!
Hey, good news! I found all my Brights cardstock! The big crafty accordion file with it fell off the dresser and behind the high stack of Christmas stamp boxes, so I got to work and retrieved it. I am so relieved that my mind did not play tricks on me when I gave the other stack of cs away. Now if I can just find my retiring In Color cs before I order more!
The scrapbook/stamping store looks like a fun place. I wish we had more here — they have basically all closed. I have one to explore when the stamp room is more under control.
I love today’s card! The colors, embossing, and the sequins are perfect harmony. I was missing sequins from you. Good job!
Please continue to enjoy Florida for us Northerners. I see you managed to escape before the NY storm hit! Lucky you! When do you return? Nancy B
Hi Nancy!
It was so nice in Florida! I’m glad to hear that you found all of your brights card stock! The scrapbook store was great! Once Scrap-A-Latte is fully stocked it will be a great place to go! LOL! I love sequins but they can’t be on every card! 🙂
WOW ! What a mega store to get lost in. I’m so jealous. The big question…..did you buy a goodies while you were there? You are definitely a man on the move making the best of your vacation. Lovely picture. Now on to your card…..love it! To me it looks like champagne bubbles floating about the heart. Who doesn’t love some bubbly! The sequins top it off. Also really liking the heart from SSS. Very unique. Can’t wait to see what you have to report for tomorrow. Have fun Justin!
Violets was great! I did get a few things but for the most part I behaved! I had a lovely time in Florida and I can’t wait to go back! I love that Simon Says Stamp Sketch Heart die! 🙂
Justin, Fabulous card!! Love the gold embossed grunge and the die cut heart is beautiful!
I’m jealous of the weather you are having there. Enjoy!
Thank you Gerri! The weather was fabulous! 🙂
Love the card and the sketched heart in gold is wonderful! Gotta get me that die!
Thank you Linda! It’s a great die! 🙂
Hello Justin! Love your card today! Sequins, hearts and little bling! 🙂 Seriously, that die is amazing. Just a perfect card. So your adventures continue! We all love hearing about how much you pack into your day. That scrapbook store sounds wonderful…did you have to mail things home? I would have had to bring an extra suitcase! Your Epcot pic looks wonderful, especially seeing the smiles on your faces and the bright blue sky! Your pic on Instagram made me laugh…out loud. Too funny! Continue to enjoy your time—really loving your pics and hearing about your time there. Enjoy! 🙂 🙂
Hi Karen!
Thank you! The die is great! My adventures were great! The scrapbook store was so much fun and well worth the drive! I did behave and only bought a few things! We had such a great time at Epcot! I like to be silly and the picture was just that! 🙂
Beautiful!!
Thank you Cindy! 🙂
Hi Justin:
Well, Manhattan wasn’t as bad as predicted. I wish I could say the same about us. LOL It’s hard to judge just how much snow we received because the wind dept blowing it around. Our back deck has snow higher than the railings so the hubs guesses it’s a minimum of 4 feet but other parts of the yard look almost bare. He’s been out plowing with the snow blower on the yard tractor since 9 a.m. and it’s 11:30. He looks like the abominable snowman and I’m sure he will be half frozen once he gets inside.
Love today’s card and I have to agree with the other ladies that the die cut heart is really fabulous. Combine that with the sequins and you really captured the essence of “love”. Just a fantastic card all around! Great job.
Looks like you are having a blast and I’m so glad that you are sharing your adventurous with all us snow bound folks up north here. Thank you. Somehow you have managed to have friends all over the place. That is so exceptional and wonderful. I hope you continue to have a super duper vacation. Can’t wait to hear about any new “goodies” you bring back.
Love and hugs! XO 🙂
Hello Grace!
I was happy that I got out of NY before all of that snow came! Poor hubby, but you are lucky to have him!
Thank you! The heart is great!
I had the best time! It was made better by great friends! It makes me sad that I only get to see Maggie and Nicole twice a year.
Hugs to you! 🙂
Hi Justin. Great card! I especially love the Simon Says die. It’s not often that one sees a sketched heart (or anything) in the way of a die and this really caught my eye. Here in Canada it’s not easy to get hold of such varieties of product.
Hello Heidi!
Thank you! Yes, that Sketch Heart is so cool! 🙂
Hey Justin, LOVE this card!! It’s perfect for a guy, not too girly 😉 I’m going to try and copy it for my husband (without the heart die it could be tricky…). It’s nice to see the sunny skies in your photos, that scrap booking store sounds amazing, next time I’m in Florida, I will definitely pop in! You are certainly packing a lot into your days, as usual! Thanks for the photos, keep on having fun 🙂 Cheers Justin xxx
Hi Kelly!
Thank you! It would be good for just about anyone! I think that you would be ok with just a regular cut out heart! The scrapbook store was great! You definitely have to stop in! I love to make the most of every day! XO 🙂
Love the glam valentine. Just wish I had that gorgeous heart. I guess I will just have to compromise by snipping up a heart I do have. I will come up with a substitute, because I just got to try to duplicate it somehow.
Thank you Mary Alice! The Heart is great! I would love to see your duplicate! 🙂
Hi Justin, So good to see you having a great time in Florida with beautiful weather. Violets scrapbook and stamp store looks like heaven! LOL!
Hello Michelle!
I had a wonderful time in Florida! It was perfect and the store was fun! 🙂
Part Two! Maggie and Jackie look lovely friends and Jackie has the best job working in Disney! A Steak ‘n Shake sounds yum followed by Epcot what a fun day
Maggie and Jacki are awesome! Jacki does love her job! Steak ‘n Shake os so good, I couldn’t believe that Maggie had never had it before and Epcot was great! 🙂
Sorry about this I’ll keep even shorter, love the card and keep having fun,
LOL! Thank you Michelle! 🙂
This card is aesone, I LOVE!!! Everything about it. I really need that heart die. OMG yor at Epcot, that is my favorite place in the world, enjoy

So glad you got to Violettes. I live in Sarasota ( about 1 hour south) and we go to Violettes as often as we can. Love that you use other products, not just SU.
Violets was great Bee! I need to mix it up and Simon Says Stamp has some great stuff! 🙂
