Hi there! I had a busy Saturday! I headed off to Manhattan in the morning to see my friends Jim & Diane. I spent some time with them and then headed back to the garage to get the car. It was a quick trip into the city as I was meeting Sandy at Scrap-A-Latte at 1:00. I ended up getting to there around 1:20. Sandy and I went through the new goodies that Renee got in and I choose some stuff for next month’s class. After that I headed home and it started snowing. Taylor was at my house when I got there because she came to let Winston out. I worked on a few projects and then around 6:30 Anthony and Bill came to get me to go to Friday’s for dinner. We had a nice time and got to see our friend Meg. They dropped me off and I finished up my projects and then installed my new laser printer. I got it for a special little crafty thing that I’m going to do that I’ll share with you in a few days. I’m off to Manhattan again this morning and I’m hoping that the roads are ok as I would like to drive in again. It’s still raining/snowing so maybe the train would be a better idea!
I have a bunch of the Project Life Pocket Cards and I’m not a scrapbooker, I got them to use on cards and that’s just what I did last night. The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock. My background is a piece of Sahara Sand, I used a piece of Retro Fresh Designer Washi Tape down the left side and mounted it to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The pocket card is from the This Day Project Life Mini Collection. I stamped the image from the Painted Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana and Blackberry Bliss. My greeting is from the Hello Life Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Island Indigo. I adhered the pocket card to the card with SNAIL. My two banners at at the top are from the Moonlight and All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stacks. A few random sequins complete the card. Not an overly complicated card to make but I really do love the colors and the modern feel of all of the patterns with the simplicity of the stamp set! I hope that you too enjoyed my card for today and that you got some ideas of how to use your Project Life Pocket Cards! Thank you for taking the time to come and see me! Have an awesome Sunday! 🙂

Ahh I forgot about using Project Life cards to make cards! See, this is why you are who you are ( a card magician) and I am not! Love it! You have just set a new challenge for me!
Yes, so have I Julene! LOL! Thank you! I appreciate it! I hope that you have fun using your PL cards! 🙂
Hi Justin! Such a great card! I was just looking at my project life cards yesterday. I’m not a scrapbooker either but they do make great cards! Love the colors and the Painted Petals stamp set. Just perfect! You sure fit a lot into a day Justin! You make me smile with how you touch so many people’s lives. 🙂 Can’t wait to see the project you’re making with the laser printer! Have an awesome day and enjoy your time in the city!
Hello Karen!
Thank you very much! The Project Life cards really are a great little addition to a card, I have to remember to use them more often! I do manage to fit quite a bit into most days! And you should know that I always smile when I read your comments! I hope to have some time to do my Laser Printer project this week. I want to do a video too! LOL! We’ll see if that happens! Hope you had a nice weekend! 🙂
Love, love, love the color combo and the Painted Petal set is just beautiful! I don’t normally care for cards with a lot going on but this one is gorgeous. Just beautiful Justin.
Glad you had a good day yesterday. Sounds really hectic to me but hey, you’re young and energetic so why not! Have fun today. We got another 6″ of snow last night and more is due on Wednesday. It seems all the storms this year have been Wednesday into Thursday and Sunday into Monday. Just crazy. I need to get started on some Easter cards but I’m having trouble getting motivated with all this snow. LOL You have yourself a wonderful day my friend! XO 🙂
Thank you so very much Grace! I too love the colors, they are fun! The card is a little busy but somewhat balanced too!
I did have a nice day yesterday and today too! Today was long but that’s the way I like them! I don’t feel so young and energetic sometimes, believe me! We had big flakes here this morning but the sun did manage to peek out later on. I think that making your Easter cards will get your mind off of the nasty weather! It will be a good diversion! Hope you had an excellent day! XOXO 🙂
Beautiful card! I love all the layers. The colors are so rich.
Thank you Nina! 🙂
I love this card ! Just the right amount of goodness going on. I think I can CASE this one today. Thank you so much , your cards always inspire me.
Thank you so much Kay! I am very happy that I get to inspire you! 🙂
Good Morning Justin. I really like using the elements from Project Life – I recently made 2 books for my sisters as we completed an Alaska adventure together last spring. I have leftover pieces from that project and now I know how I’m going to use them. Love this card.
I think the train is a better idea!
Hi there Marty!
Yes, the Project Life elements are pretty neat! Thank you! I will be using them more often too! I did take the train! Ut was late but better than driving! 🙂
Cute… I love the Moonlight paper, deep rich colors. As a scrapbooker I love when I can incorporate items that are designed for one purpose into another. I think those project life cards are a perfect example. Enjoy your Sunday, sunny but back to below freezing single digits again here
Thank you Linda! Yes! The Moonlight DSP does have some great colors! I think that the Project Life cards are fun to use in different ways! It was sunny here for a little while today and not quite as cold! 🙂
Great card and I have been thinking about choosing the PL set as my freebie because there are tons of cards in there . Love how you used one of them ! And Justin ….a Blackberry Bliss Berry Basket to set that card off …..WOW !
Thank you Sonny! I love the colors in the Project Life Sale-A-Bration set! I think that it would be a great choice! LOL! I was pretty happy when I found that Blackberry Bliss basket! 🙂
Hey Justin, I really like this card, the colours are beautiful! I also love how you teamed up the geometric patterns with the soft flowers, I never think of doing things like that! We had such a hot weekend, my stamping area is set up out the back, where there is no air conditioner, and it’s just too hot to sit out there – I haven’t even had a chance to play with my new things yet 🙁 Hope you get in to Manhattan safely, and have a nice Sunday! Yes, I get to Friday before you, but unfortunately the same happens with Monday, aagghhh! 😉 Cheers Justin xoxo
Hi Kelly!
Thank you! I do love the colors, blues and purples are my favorites! I thought that the two different styles were cool together too! Glad that you agree! Aww, I have to say that I would rather have too hot problems than freezing ones! LOL! I did have a very nice day! Ha! Yes, you do get to Monday before me! I hope that it’s a good one my friend! XOXO 🙂
love the card, the colours are soothing to me. I am going to try and use washi tape more on my cards, it always looks so good on yours!
Thank you Lynne! I find the colors soothing too! I have to use Washi Tape more, I have a ton of it! I do like it as an accent! 🙂
Oh my gosh, you are one busy person! Hope you had a great weekend and glad I could send a few warmer degrees your way 😉 I really like the way you incorporated the PL cards into your project. I’ve been hesitating to get into PL even though I’ve wanted to and I agree with Sonny, I think I’ll pick the SAB set to try it out. Maybe I’ll even start scrapbooking like I’ve always wanted to, lol 🙂
